Liberty Loses Home Opener
Liberty had an early 13-10 lead over the Otters before a second-half explosion by OCO. The Otters scored 17 points in the 3rd quarter effectively putting the game out of reach for Philadelphia. Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate Siddhu Sarvepally lead the charge for the Otters with two touchdowns. Brock Phoenix struggled all day only completing 15/36 passes for 160 yards. Korrin Abernathy was the star on the defensive side of the ball, compelling 12 tackles 1 sack and a fumble recovery.
Copperheads Win Nailbiter versus Outlaws
Despite Jay Cue throwing for 358 yards and 3 touchdowns, the Outlaws are still winless. Easton Cole threw for 3 touchdowns in the win for the defending champions. The Outlaws were down 3 with 3 minutes to play in the 4th quarter starting their drive at their own 35. Cue could not muster any magic and turned the ball over with 1:39 to play. Cue is a monster stat generator, but questions are arising about his ability to lead a team especially in the 4th quarter.
