SaberCats Get First Win of Year
In a huge upset, San Jose SaberCats blows out the Yellowknife Wraiths on the road. The Wraiths were huge favorites and were called “a lock” by most betting experts. The Sabercats scored 21 unanswered points to start the game. Q Tyerucker and Rando Cardrissian averaged 5 yards per carry and ran all over Yellowknife. Dan Wright was not spectacular going 13/29 for 139 yards. He did come up big in the red zone, however, throwing for 2 TDs.The SaberCats secondary was giving Cooter Bigsby headaches all day. T Stanley had 5 pass deflections and Joseph Wozniak sealed the game with 19-yard interception return for a TD. B Doggy also had an impressive game opening up the running game with 6 pancakes. D Grithead tried to hold down the Wraiths defense as best he could with 11 tackles in an impressive performance.
Yetis Beat Butchers in a Wild One
The Chicago Butchers had a 10 point lead heading halftime on the back of a 26-yard interception return for a TD by Jack Rambo. The Yetis offense exploded in the 3rd quarter scoring 28 points and cruised to a 45-33 win. Wolfie McDummy threw for 319 yards and 4 TDs. Laszlo Forty-Two was the favorite target for the hauling in 6 catches for 121 yards and 2 TDS. Ryan Leaf Jr continued his impressive season with a 95-yard return for a touchdown.
Hawks Stay Undefeated, Improve to 3-0
It was the story of two halves for the Baltimore Hawks. The first half was nothing short of a masterpiece as they outscored the Philadelphia Liberty 28 - 6. In the second half, Liberty rang Baltimore’s bell and outscored the Hawks 24 -7. Hawks hang on to win, 35-30. Corvo Havran threw for 4 TDs in the first half but was held out of the end zone for the rest of the game. The Baltimore running attack was unstoppable as both Hawk running backs averaged more than 4.5 yards per carry. Brock Phoenix had an impressive game for Philadelphia going 20/37 with 236 yards and 2 TDs. Raymond Vans was the difference-maker for the Hawks on defense with 11 tackles and 2 sacks.
Second Line Dominates Outlaws, Stays Undefeated
The Arizona Outlaws never had a chance in this one. Macella Torki dominated the entire game scoring 3 total TDs. The two headed monster of the Second Line rushing attack has proved unstoppable. Forrest Gump added 97 yards on 23 carries. Dean Taylor had a monster 105 yard kickoff return for the NOLA. Johnny Slothface was the face of the Second line defense with 8 tacklers and 2 sacks. Rookie M Smart for the Outlaws had 13 tackles.
