As the pre-draft process slowly winds down and the draft slowly creeps up, Tyler Oles reflects on the process that has been a bit overwhelming of sorts. Forgoing an agent, instead relying upon his own knowledge and business degree from University of Maryland, he has been contacted by a few teams already and has been working hard in these last few days being a rookie without a team. Tyler Oles has waited for the day for a while now, and with it on the horizon now he wants to thank every team that has taken a look at him, every team that has contacted him, and the teams have not. First to the teams scouting him, he thanks everyone for taking the time out of their schedules to talk with him, whether it be about the pre-draft process, his plans for the future, football itself, or the name of the team that contacted him. He thanks each team and hopes he has done enough at this point, and can start working towards the next point, which is joining a team, learning the league and ultimately helping a team win the Ultimus Trophy. For the teams that have not contacted Oles, he thanks you all for taking the time in the process to look at fellow members of the draft and hopes that each team is successful in their own endeavors and hopes that each rookie taken in the draft has success in their career. He also hopes that any team still on the fence(and any teams yet to call) knows that he is willing to bring his talents to any team that drafts him, he has no reservations or bias towards any one team in the league, he is willing to go anywhere, and to any team, in order to improve himself and head towards the ultimate goal, the championship.
Next Tyler Oles would like to ask something from each team, one thing he asks for is the opportunity to play and help the team in anyway that he can. He knows that some teams already have their corners in place, and that some have already hand picked corners from the draft, simply waiting for the day to call their names and get the jersey on the players, and that is fine, Oles understands that each team will have different needs. For the teams that do need corners, Oles wants to help your team in anyway, learning how to fill whatever roll may be needed for whatever team that calls his name on draft day. Oles would like a good clubhouse also, he believes that the road to a championship starts with how the players interact, and he hopes that whatever team he joins come draft night has a group of players ready to welcome him with open arms and get started on the road to a championship. He also hopes that the front office communicates their intent from day one, whether it be a trade in the future in which he is sent to a different team, the position he plays(and if the team wants him to play a different position), or when contract negotiations start. A good front office will lead to a better clubhouse, and he hopes that the team he joins will be like a second family to him, to every other member of the draft class, and to any new players acquired via trades and free agency.
Finally, Tyler Oles wants to express his excitement for the future in this league and the future with whatever team that drafts him. He is extremely excited for whatever the future holds, the paths that cross and the lead up to a championship. He is hopeful that the team that drafts him will help him develop and be a top flight corner which he thinks he can be, he is hopeful that the opportunity to work with a good corner and be a part of a great defense is in his future. He is thankful for everyone that has put him in the position to take part in this league, the help he has received on his path to the draft, and he is thankful for the future that while it may seem slow, is quickly arriving at his doorstep. He is thankful for all the teams in the league, and for the teams that have already taken the time to contact him, hear his words and determine the person, and player, that he is and can be in the future.
