With the NSFL draft approaching soon, I took my time and analysed the TPE of the top TEs of the S22 draft class and tried to put some numbers into perspective.
I looked at the player approval date, the total TPE, the date of the last update, the tier of equipment and the weekly TPE gain, which I divided into two sections. First the "Weekly Gain" in the table below is the official TPE gain with the updathe this week. The second one, the "Adjusted Gain" includes only the activities and tasks that could be claimed in this specific week. So this week it contains AC 149, Weekly Training, PT2 and Predicitions for Week 6 & 7, Week 8 and Week 9. It doesn´t contain things that can be done in any week like equipment upgrade or wiki. It also doesn´t include things like predictions claimed for earlier weeks. This means, a total of 21 TPE could be earned by doing all tasks and having the perfect predictions.
Here is the table sorted by total TPE:
In the table you can see that the approval date was similar for 4 out of the 5 top TEs, whereas James Angler started about three weeks later, but is gaining lots of TPE since then.
All five players were active last week and gained at least 10 TPE. Daniel George and Donatello Arrabiata didn´t do all tasks, the other 3 players did everything that was possible. James Angler upgraded his equipment for 10 more TPE and Jeffrey Phillips updated his wiki for 5 TPE and gained 2 more for his week 5 predictions. As already stated, these TPE gains are included in the weekly gain, but not in the adjusted gain.
While the three top TEs already have the best possible equipment, James Angler can gain another 5 TPE by upgrading. Arrabiata can even gain additional 30 TPE, if he´d upgrade his equipment all the way to tier 6.
These stats show that there is more than just total TPE worth looking at. Looking at the numbers, I´d draft Angler as third TE, because in the future it will be more important if the player will be a max earner than him starting a few weeks earlier.
I will do the same analysis for the WR class and I´ll likely do them both every week till the draft to see how these numbers and the activity from the players changes.
