"Playoffs, a time of fear, patience, anxiety, sim testing, choking at home, losing to the otters. What truly defines a playoff game is not exactly the final score or who you face, it’s about the players who come up and state their claim on why they should be considered the best of the best, and why they should be the one that goes to the game of games, and raise that piece of metal everyone brags about, but they were either too weak, or even minuscule to either hoist it. The twenty first season of the national Simulation Football league saw six teams arose to the realm of the playoffs, six cities deemed worthy by the sim gods to fight for the iron ball, it’s all about the grind, and how you finish it, and you better get it right the first time, or the trauma of agony and defeat will haunt your soul for the entirety of your national Simulation Football league career." -Ryan Leaf Jr

Interviews With John Valor:
Good evening, I’m John Valor, one of the journalists here at the Valor Times, I conduct all the interviews with players, coach’s, general managers and all others like that. This edition, we’ll focus on reflections from players and general managers about their experience in the twenty first season of the national Simulation Football league.
First off we have Mike Franchet of the Philadelphia Liberty.
How did you think your season went and why?
"John Valor of the Valor times? seems like a kind of fox news fake news piece of shit organization. But that's okay, I am Mike Franchet, Defensive End for the Philly Liberty. Our season went as expected tbh, This team isn't interesed in being a bottem rank team. We're here to change history, and to do that, lose is needed. The Liberty are 3-10 and are scraping the bottom of the barrel. This is all according to our plan, we may be weak, but we've been building a solid core to change this reality. It's too bad the NSFL in general doesnt see it. The season went the way it did because we under preformed what we thought we could, but that's okay tbh, we're growing even if the NSFL wants to count us out."
What issues do you think the Liberty should address in the draft?
"the first thing I would do is establish a great defense that shuts down any offense. after we establish a defense that is great, we would establish an offense that can't be stopped"
A recent article series called "Who To Protect" tried to controversially predict your team’s protections, how do you feel about it?
"For the article you linked, I would say it's mostly correct. I think you may have a few things wrong, but overall in terms of unprotected players, you have the right idea. and it's pretty remarkable."
Any expectations for this draft?
"For this draft, I think if the NSLF GMs underthink this Royals Defense they will really regret it. and if they doubt the Royals offense it's the same situation lmao. as for my expectations, it's the same as always, my great players will go to NSFL teams that see their value, and NSFL teams that can't see that are doomed."
Our next guest is Avon Blocksdale Jr.
How did you think your season went and why?
"Obviously we didn't do as well as we wanted record wise. I wish we did better - but in the locker room we are super positive. We're a team building toward the future and we're going to be a dominant team soon enough. I know it"
If you were the gm of a team, what would be the first thing you do?
"the first thing you need to do as a GM - is build the team in your image. You want to get active rookies who believe in your vision. Sign an FA or two."
A recent article series called "Who To Protect" tried to controversially predict your team’s protections, how do you feel about it?
"I love the series in general. It's super interesting. Our version didn't go into too many details. I think we're going to come out of the expansion draft pretty solid"
Any expectations for this draft?
"For the expansion draft I know I'll be exposed and I hope I'll remain in Philly. I'm going to be testing Free Agency if I get expansion drafted. the regular draft I expect Philly to draft some top top end players. I know of our plan but I'm the one who should divulge that information"
We have one last guest who is Benson Bayley Jr.
"1. I could not be happier with how my season went with Bayley Jr. I led the entire DSFL in sacks while definitely making my case for LB of the year and rookie of the year. I mean, that's all you can do. For someone that was a late create at the draft and was a waiver wire pickup, not even drafted, to be looked at in the second round. I am happy with that. I want to thank Dallas as they put me in a perfect position to succeed and played me to my strengths."
"2. When I was given the opportunity to be a GM of the Chicago Butchers, it was important to go to work. I really wanted to take the time to get to know the players and what their goals were to make sure they would be met. From there, it was time to execute a plan. We have made a plan to get Chicago back to the promised land and that is what we are going to set our mind towards."
"3. That was a good series. The one for Chicago had some seriously interesting picks. I'm not really going to comment further as our list has not been made public yet. We are going to be informing the team of the picks when they are finalized, so I want that to be communication first."
"4. We are expected to take a horrible linebacker in the second round. Well, this draft is great. We have some needs that we will be looking to fill in this draft. It has some really high top talent and some guys you can find later in the draft with high upside. I have loved the conversations that I have had with all of the draftees that have responded and I definitely expect to have more conversations in the coming days. We have plenty of work to do!"
