I'm Torque. AMA. (Ready to be graded)
Why did you choose to be a QB?
Put simply: Because there is no position in sports like the quarterback where so much control is in the hands of one player. I love to win, and there's no one who can make that happen in football more than the quarterback. Sure, it brings glory, but more importantly, it is an immense responsibility. It's one that I look forward to in this league as I can begin my journey.
Knowing that there are only 8 starting QB spots, how would you respond if drafted by a team with an already established starting QB?
I welcome the opportunity to both learn and compete with an established quarterback. I am well aware that many GMs in the league are also quarterbacks. But I also know that there isn't a single GM that would put them-self before their team. This isn't to say that I think that I am better than all the GMs, of course I'm not right now; I just know that if the time ever comes, I will be given a chance. And I will not disappoint.
What is your goal for your player?
I want to be a player who can have a meaningful impact on both my team, and the league. I think that I am in the heart of the beginning of a great league, and I think that right now, there is an opportunity for everyone here to become a part of history. I want to leave my mark.
What NFL QB would you compare your play-style to?
Russel Wilson.
To me, he is what the ideal mobile quarterback is. He runs when he needs to, but it's mainly used as a vehicle to buy time to throw the ball. I see my legs not mainly as a weapon, that's what my arm is for, but as a utility to allow my receivers and running backs more time to get open. I hope to be able to do that as well as Russ does.
