Ready To Grade
Starting CB for the Sarasota Sailfish is at the podium receiving questions following the teams first season game in history. Open to all questions.
Lol. It's great. Great way to start the foundation. The guys love it and are excited to get better for week 2.
1. I'd like to say I did everything in my skill set but I'd be giving misinformation. I made so plays throughout the game but just as my teammates and staff, we're eager to get back in the practice field to build on this.
2. A win is a win. Overall as a team we played well together just enough tonight to secure this victory. We believe in each other.
3. Personally, there's a ton I still need to soak up in this playbook so I'll be looking to max out my intelligence sometime this season.
4. Nothing fancy. We had a mild celebration in the locker room after the game but we all know how long a season is especially when it's only opening week kickoff.
1. Definitely want to shout out our defensive until! We played hard giving our offense plenty of opportunities to secure a road victory. Our strength on the defensive side I'd say is our line and secondary group. In no particular order.
2. At this point in my career I've had the opportunity to be with one team and now on my second in Sarasota. Being a journey man in the league could be fun for some players but I'm more into settling in one location, growing with a team and the community as one.
3. Wouldn't want to call myself a leader right now as there's plenty I stl need to learn in my position and the game as a whole. I am more than grateful to mentor any upcoming draftee or current DSFL player based on my knowledge within this league in my short but long participation. If the time roles around and circumstances are ripe, something along the team staff group could be in my career plans.
4. I wouldn't be the ideal guy you would put on your marketing team or scouting team but Sarasota, FL is amazing. What better place to begin your career as you write history itself with talented young men like yourself.
1. The fans, the community have embraced us with open arms. One thing for sure is when we finally get to play for these fans in week 4 versus Philadelphia, expect home field to rock the richter scale.
2. To be honest it's not really that of a difference from when I first joined the league and the SecondLine back in S17. Only major difference was NOLA was already a well established team in the league with multiple Ultimus victories in the franchise but at the time of my arrival, we was in the opposite side of winning. For a few seasons to say the least. The fun part about having the opportunity to do it again with a different team is the fun you have in the process in building a winning culture. Overall it's all bout the people and the wins will come.
3. Yellowknife is a solid well documented team in the NSFL and we won't take them lightly, as with any other team. This will be my first time facing them after the Ultimus last season so this is definitely gonna be a fun one. Great guys over there and wish them all the best.
4. Any team at any given moment can go on an insane streak and shock the league. Both powerhouse teams and low market teams. So yes, overall with the guys here and their attitude and mentality, I believe we have it in us already to make the playoffs in year one but we all know we must rely on the sim gods to some extent.
Aye bro much respect to the heavens and back! Sarasota is loving me and I'm loving them back. NOLA will always be home tho! Keep balling!!
1. I believe us all that have came in whether it's the expansion draft or the S22 draft, we all have somewhat put it on ourselves to put a winning culture in place. We sure don't want to be remembered as the group who failed.
2. We're indeed a talented group, no need to name drop, I'm sure the entire league knows us by now if they haven't already before. The DB gang plays ferocious. We challenge ourselves within group meetings, practices, film, team breakfast/lunch anything you name we compete to the fullest of our abilities but once game time comes and we step on that field, we'll do anything for each other. That's the mentality we DBs have in Sarasota. Watch us do us.
Junior year in high school was the last time I played any offensive position lol. Might take a few weeks before y'all get used to that new car but I see success real soon. Zach, Dax, Ryan, yourself will get the offense on track.

Sarasota’s secondary looks pretty scary to start the season; do you think they have the potential to pull off some more upsets like we saw in Week 1?
