I think that one of the worst DSFl draft picks of all time was Ryan Leaf Jr. The Ryan Leaf Jr pick made no sense at all for the Kansas City Coyotes, and the value that they lost in that pick was very much. The worst part about the pick, was that the Kansas City Coyotes already had a quarterback. A maxed out quarterback none the less. This quarterback was Rose Jenkins. They had no need for a quarterback right here, and taking one made absolutely no sense. Quarterback by committee is a lot more prevalent in the DSFL lately, because of the huge classes that we have been having, but this was not a thing back then. Multiple other other teams still had a need for quarterback, so it was not like the Kansas City Coyotes were taking one so that an active would have a spot and some play time. The Coyotes ended up only winning two games that year, and maybe if they had got a position of need, they would have won more. Ryan Leaf Jr ended up being traded to the best DSFL team, the Norfolk Seawolves, for a 5th round pick. A 5th round pick in the s16 draft was useless, and I do not even think that there were enough players for that too work. So, the Coyotes effectively flushed a 3rd round pick in an insanely loaded class down the toilet.
