[div align=\\\"center\\\"]JoJo Goes Pro[/div]
There has been plenty of buzz surrounding college quarterback star Joseph "JoJo" Joestar after his much anticipated - and expected - declaration for the Season 23 DSFL Draft. What many may not know about JoJo is that he has been longtime friends with SMJHL hockey player Steve Harrington. We got these two up-and-coming superstars together for an interview.
Interviewer: So how did you guys meet?
Harrington: Well we actually both met in a simulation sports league-
JoJo: No Steve, you can't say that its way too meta. We met in a chat room as kids, maybe 6 or 7 years ago. I was a bit of a hermit in my younger years haha. We both bonded over our love for sports; I was captivated by football, and Steve by hockey. We both knew we wanted to be serious and go pro. When I saw Steve get drafted to the SMJHL 4th overall it motivated me further. And then 3rd overall to the SHL? I knew I had to kick his ass! It's a shame we chose different sports, because it was always a dream of mine to go up against him in the NSFL.
Harrington: At least we both share a love of passing.
JoJo: That we do.
Interviewer: So what drew you to being a quarterback as a kid, JoJo?
JoJo: I knew going in that I'm an all or nothing kind of guy. I wanted to be number one, and I wanted to be worth it. None of this matters to me unless I'm the best. So yeah I could have gone something that doesn't require as much effort, but if I'm not putting in my all then I might as well not show up.
Interviewer: So, we know the draft is coming up soon. Which teams are you looking at?
JoJo: Well I've been contacted by a lot of teams already. There are some good groups I've heard a lot about, and some have some friends from college already drafted. But I'll be happy to take any DSFL team to an Ultimini if they'll have me.
Interviewer: Well you sure do seem to have a lot of confidence. I'm sure your college career has been a huge source.
JoJo: Well of course. But in college I was known more as a scrambler. Racked up plenty of yards on the run and even a few TDs. But I've been working to reinvent myself for the DSFL as more of a pure passer. While its easy to run around college defenses, the DSFL and eventually the NSFL will be much more difficult. And I should have some serious receivers at my disposal to pull of some sick throws. Pro JoJo is going to be all about big throws, big games, and big wins.
Interviewer: That sure sounds exciting. Steve, what are your plans for your final SMJHL seasons and start to your SHL career?
Harrington: Well it sure is-
Interviewer: Now JoJo, what does the DSFL mean to you?
JoJo: It means everything to me. I never met my parents, but I know they have given me the talent to be one of the best to play the game, and I intend to work hard in the hopes they would have been proud. I almost feel like I've been given some sort of special powers... But as long as I take a deep breath and focus myself I know I can be great.
Interviewer: Let's take a look at some of your competition then. What are your thoughts on Sam Howitzer, the other big name QB declared for the upcoming draft?
JoJo: I actually know Sam, I've talked to him a lot in this time before the draft. I know we'll be competing every step of the way in our careers. Its a shame we never got to play against each other in college. I was looking forward to his junior year and maybe facing him in a bowl game. Its a real tragedy his season was cut so short by that injury. But I'm confident he will come back from it and be a real thorn in my side in the years to come.
Interviewer: An interesting note, I heard you don't drive at all JoJo?
JoJo: That is true actually. As far back as I can remember I have always hated cars. Thanks for bringing that up.
Interviewer: So for a final topic, what are your aspirations for the future, JoJo?
JoJo: Well obviously I want an Ultimini and and Ultimus. But anything can happen each year so there's never any guarantees. Even the best sometimes don't get one. But If I play to the best of my ability I should have a place in the Hall of Fame. One record I'm really looking for is the all-time passing yards record, just like my idol, Drew Brees of the National Football League. But it will be a long road to get there for sure. As I've said before, I'm go big or go home, and my home is gonna be the DSFL. So I'm gonna do both. Because I'm a Joestar.
Interviewer: Wow those sure are some lofty goals. Are you sure you won't just bitch out and become a major draft bust cause you're a fucking loser? Maybe you're just a weak little orphan that's destined to be a burnout freeloader that can't hang for 5 minutes in a real league.
JoJo: Hah, that's pretty good. But I'm sure I can handle the DSFL.
Harrington: Hey how come you never let me talk for more than-
JoJo: Because this article is for NSFL media so we can't talk about hockey, Steve. Don't you have enough money already?
Harrington: You said I couldn't be meta-
Interviewer: Haha okay you two. Looks like that will rap us up for today. We had a great talk with both these two great athletes and learned a lot. Looking forward to seeing you two tear up your respective leagues and become household names!
JoJo: Thanks nameless interviewer.
Harrington: Yeah tha-
