I have had quite a bit on my mind since submitting our strategy for the Ultimus, and I have been extremely far from calm. This team is important to me, and I want that to be heard. So, I have some words to say for the active members of the Colorado Yeti before we play tonight's game.
@SnowyWolfz, @SwankyPants31, @dahayn, and @nated4444: although you could not join us on the field this season, each of you was a meaningful member of this franchise, and we are so thrilled to have you with us on this journey. Thank you for your contributions to the Colorado Yeti, even though your players spent their season elsewhere.
@RedArrow12c and @yonggarius: as the young wide receivers of this franchise, it can be a struggle to be relegated to the roles of WR2 and WR3. Thank you for your work filling these roles, and for your patience waiting for your respective turns to take the driver's seat. We could not have come this far without you, and we look forward to whatever the future holds for our receiving corps.
@Ismael8907: I could not find a category to fit you in, so you get your own mention. You have worn many hats since being drafted to this team, and you have shown immense grace and flexibility in that time. Thank you for your efforts for this team, and thank you for playing a critical role on the defensive line, even if it doesn't show in the box score.
@RotticusScott and @Iamdumberdore: the two of you bring the thunder that we always hoped we would see from the members of the MLR community. We are so grateful to have such outstanding members of that community in this one, and we are hopeful that we will be able to welcome more of you in the future.
@sapp2013 and @shipwreckrising: those not in our locker room may be quick to forget about the two of you, but your dedication and loyalty to this team know no bounds, and that means that we will never forget your impact. You have filled the uglier roles for this team in your time, and done so with smiles on your faces, and for that we thank you.
@nunccoepi: I am thrilled to have had your guidance since you became a member of this team. I still have much to learn in this league, but with your helping hand, I know that I am closer to being the best I can be. Your presence has changed the dynamic of the locker room and the war room for the better, and I cannot express enough gratitude for that.
@FleshBagSoup: you were my first recruit to Colorado's cause as the GM of the team, and bringing you to the Yeti remains one of the best decisions we have made since I took my share of the reins. You bring life and joy to the locker room, and I am so happy to have been able to share the field with you.
@golden_apricot and @[Ascolap]: we have shared this stage before in Minnesota, and I am excited to be sharing it again in Colorado. Others may doubt your worth, going so far as to question what some 400 TPE S is capable of, or why the chatty K/P refuses to update until he misses a kick, but I have never doubted either of you, and I trust that you will both be part of the roster that brings this team its first trophy.
@Modern_Duke and @jsteele14: although I did not personally draft you to be Marshals, nor to be Yeti, my hand can be seen in both processes, and for good reason. This team had the single best pass defense in the league this season according to my sources, and each of you has played a huge role in that, on the field and in the locker room. I am proud to be your GM, and I am excited for the future of this defense.
@thevoicelesscreator: although muford leaving broke my heart, it gave me just enough leverage to convince the team to bring you aboard, and I would do it again every single time. Bubba is nearing the time where he will merely be a relic of the past, but I am comfortable with that knowing that you are a part of the future. Thank you for being a part of this team.
@`baueranthony9` and @run_CMC: my brothers, my partners in (or rather, against) crime, my fellow Marshals, I am thankful to share this team with you as well. I know bauer technically will not take the field with us tonight, but it did not feel quite right to sort him with his fellow rookies when he fits so neatly as part of this trio. Tonight, I hope we can finish what we started in green and gold so long ago; regardless, I am thankful to continue this journey with the two of you by my side.
@Bwestfield: you are the type of figure every young player in this league hopes for in a GM, but only select few of us have had the pleasure of playing for you. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have worked under you, and I am humbled to have been handed the reins directly from you. I pray that tonight is the night we make James Bishop a champion on the field, but regardless, he is a champion in my heart.
@infinitempg: you are an inspiration. I am astounded by what you are capable of, both as a member of this community and in the real world. Twenty seasons of pain is far too much time to spend hurting; I hope tonight can be the night we end your suffering. You deserve it, and there is little I would not do to give it to you.
Last, but far from least, @Frick_Nasty: some, perhaps many, members of this league may find themselves at odds with you. Some would consider you a problematic figure. Some may even call you an ungrateful, scummy prick. But I have been by your side through all of it, and although you may not be perfect, I know that you are passionate about this team and about your players, and I am grateful for the opportunity to stand at your side as we head into this final test. Several have said they would like to GM beside me, and I have told them that someday, it will be their turn; for this first run, I am happy that it is you I work beside.
No matter what happens tonight, the Colorado Yeti are a special community. Each and every one of you deserves this, so breathe in the moment, and remember what it took to get this far. This team is what greatness looks like.
Thank you all. #OurTurn #YetiNoises
