When it comes to area of improvements in the league I think a lot of it revolves around being willing to put time and effort in to updating areas of the Forum and activities that are just not being utilized in a way that is the most efficient. It seems like the banking page through the excel spreadsheet is not the most efficient way. I am new to sim leagues and I do not have an answer to this problem but it definitely seems like it would be beneficial to have an overhaul in the banking. Perhaps we can draw on other sim leagues to see what the most efficient way to run our bank is. I understand it could be time consuming to overhaul it but, it seems like in the long run it would be better and could even create a few jobs around the league. Another area that seems like it could use improving is the turn around time on grading Trivia and Point Tasks. I am not sure what other programs are available but, there has to be a better way to not only ease the burden on the players submitting it but, also on the graders and the individuals responsible for making sure that the work is correct. Overall, the league is doing a job and could just use some updating and a few minor fixes to help make the day to day operations run as smooth as possible.
The biggest change that should be on everyone’s list is a new SIM. Whether it’s the updated version of DDSPF or some other client, it’s definitely beyond time for that change. But, in a realm of a little more realism, I think we should look at different ways to gain TPE. It’s a difficult topic because, no matter what you decide, there will have to be a way to track it and grade it. And if it’s going that far, why change it anyway? I think the aim should be to reward activity and interaction within the league, but also for that interaction to be meaningful. The PTs make sense, and for the most part, people give thoughtful responses. Predictions are hit or miss, because the reward is more luck-based. I think we could find better alternatives for weekly preds (keep season preds and playoff as compromise, bc a lot of people seem to like them). Trivia needs to go. There are only a handful of people that even know how to look up most of the answers for the questions. For many, it’s just a copy+paste “gib tep” situation.
What’s the solution? I don’t know. There's not one “fix-all" answer. But, here are some suggestions: YouTube engagement: 1 TPE for watching/liking/commenting on the stream. Game Observations: 1-2 TPE for writing a couple lines about some specific moments from the week's games. ACs: Spice these up. Possibly tie them in with the above idea. [OPTION]Height: 6'3"

Though it'll take a while to get used to calling it the ISFL, I do feel that the name change was a positive move, having been introduced to the league through Reddit recruiting and questioning the name. I think that further expansion and recruiting would be best for the league, and I know growing the userbase is constantly being pursued by the powers that be. I stick to my team locker rooms for the most part, so I'm not aware of any problems I should care about regarding the league as a whole, so I've been content with the current league experience. More active users leads to better quality in the league, and creates more versatility for IA and bot rules, along with providing more opportunities for future expansion. As an OL myself, I'll say that I'm always in favor or improvements to the position. Currently OL are played at OT in the ISFL because of their 30 lb weight advantage over bots, but would have to reach at least 550 TPE to become viable on the interior. There aren't enough active OL for this to be a problem right now, but in the future if the league continues to grow there may be a surplus of OL without a starting job. Standardizing bot weight caps at 310 lbs would be too drastic a measure and make DTs extremely overpowered, but slight decreases in IOL weight caps would be a major win for the Fair Rub movement.
There is one big change I‘d like to see regarding the representation of new league talent and that is giving the Developmental Simulation Football League more exposure. It‘s a league every single star player in the International Simulation Football League has played in, but for most it‘s nothing more than a stepping stone and in my opinion, that‘s how the league is treated in general. So to give the amazing people who build the groundwork for the whole ISFL to work more appreciation, I‘d like more attention for the DSFL. Why not make more point tasks about them? Or do a DSFL prediction instead of an ISFL one once or twice a season? Just something to make the average person pay attention to the league, its teams and players and maybe watch the games that week. Sure, there‘s a big difference in skill and how the games are played, the DSFL being a more run-heavy league, but the games are definitely fun to watch and deserve more attention than what they get right now.
Another thing I would like to see is the option to create an offensive lineman as a "second" player. Yeah, I‘d like to be an o-liner but not exclusively and I think that‘s what many people think, resulting in the lack of human players. So maybe an option to create a second player, but only if this guy is an offensive lineman, on the same account (and you only have to do the point tasks etc. once for both players).
This is a tough point task for me because as a whole I think the league is run incredibly well and there’s not a whole lot I’d seriously expect to change all that much. One thing I will say though, even though the likelihood of it happening is extremely low, is that Id like an updated sim. I know there are some solid reasons as to why we still use DDSPF16 but it’s old now and the plays where it freezes up and just shows missed pass over and over until a punt happens is a little annoying and we never get to see the defensive interceptions happen. I don’t know if the newer version of the program shows it but it’s just something on my mind. I think it’d be awesome to the interceptions for touchdowns happen in real time. One other thing I might like the league to change potentially is the user to user payment. We all know the ways of spending our money is fairly limited and even though there is the worry of players just giving their teammates free money, I reckon there could be a work around. Perhaps setting a fixed price for certain things along with a cap of how much money can be sent at one time. Plus, a process much like that of User bets where each transaction is monitored and assessed on its legitimacy and value. But that would take some time to achieve. Otherwise though I’m super happy with how this league is run ????

What do I think could change the league? We’re gonna have to go back for this one. Way back. For some of you, going back far enough to where you were literally pre-pubescent children without an iota of hair on your dick. I’m talking about going back to the Madden sim era. With all of the tremendous volunteers the league has, I think it could work much more efficiently than it did when leagues ran on them 15 years ago. Imagine actually being able to SEE your player make the plays! You can customize equipment to make your player truly your own. We can set up the audio sliders to turn down the Madden commentary and we could have our own version of a live freaking broadcast with someone doing PBP and the other doing Color LIVE while the game is happening! The downside to this of course is the time. It takes a lot longer to create players in Madden, especially if you’re customizing equipment. It also presents a downside for stats-keeping. The stats would have to be fed into a system that could keep them for us—or—like we had to back in the day, hire statisticians to manually keep track of them. What does this mean? MORE LEAGUE JOBS! This idea is great because it improves our presentation [way better than some jittery dots] and makes it for a more authentic football experience. How many times do we have to see the same scenarios play out with the current sim that don’t quite fully reflect the genuine football product? A switch to Madden 05 or even Madden 08 would fix this.
Oh, and you can customize the team jerseys, logos, stadiums, etc. It’s fucking sick. We should try it. [293 words] MR 8X ULTIMUS CHAMPION
