But I don't think asking the graders to check through 8 pages of articles 2-3 times a week to find that code is reasonable.Very true. I didn't realize how many articles there were. A web skimming tool would be quite easy. If I have some time I can make one.
Any other sim league around has articles being graded every 3-5 days. And it makes it worse that if someone wants to discuss it, youre basically punished because then you have to wait longer for it to be graded. We need to find a way to encourage discussion in articles but not penalize the authors for it.
Can the Hawks get their stuff processed then? We haven't had a transactions thread process since July 1st and it's getting difficult to try to figure out how much I even have. I believe we still have bonuses pending from the end of season 1 as well.

Its impossible to put updates in when youre waiting a minimum of 7 days and probably more. You can still buy weekly training on credit, just not equipment. So you're still able to update your player while you wait for media payouts. If you're producing more than $1m a week in media or other things then you'll have gear money saved up after a few weeks. It is still up to the users to do something to earn money, and it will always take a bit of time to have the money deposited. The only change announced here is that you can't buy equipment with credit. It's not even the preseason yet, you have plenty of time for your articles to be paid and still buy equipment for the regular season. Maybe we could move that to 5 days, but I'm not sure how much a difference that would really make. We can't do next day grading or same day grading, that would be too unreasonable for the graders.I think you should just grade the articles when the author is ready. Making the author wait for discussion to finish is not a good system considering players depend on this money to train with. I didn't realize the media was purposely not graded to accommodate conversation, but that explains a lot. I do like the idea of nurturing conversation but couldn't you just leave the thread unlocked and move it once graded?
Wait is this applying on this update?

I get that you've gotten some players overestimating the value of their pending work, but instead of cutting this off cold turkey, couldn't we instead say that you simply can't go below ZERO for gear, but still allow pending work? This would ensure that no one came close to the -2 million cut off. Additionally, why not hire more graders? I have been active as shit and volunteered for the job, but was passed over (incidentally, by a GM who passed me over multiple times in the draft). So now I have to start the season with less gear despite working my ass off to earn the money AND responsibly posting my pending work AND volunteering to help work on the backlog. |
