The ISFL Twitterverse has been set ablaze by the newest dedicated sports network, Sports Entertainment Television (SET). The idea was hatched during the interview process with a DSFL team to try and get new users more active on Twitter and to keep their interest up during the draft week for both ISFL and DSFL but it looks like we have bigger things in store.
There are currently two reporters on staff Clint McKay & Bert Mercer who are tweeting daily regarding the league and especially the ISFL & DSFL drafts. The two reporters are being kept anonymous as it makes it more fun (they are aware they can't claim the Twitter posts). I currently am trying to expand our Twitter reach and bringing on two more people, a Special Interest Reporter who will tweet about both ISFL & DSFL players and try to expand upon their backstory. Also looking for someone to specialize in ISFL happenings around the league.
The goal is to get more people involved and hopefully make it feel more like ESPN. Perhaps there is an unhappy player who is looking for a new contract or trade. They can come to SET and we can post the story to ignite some discussions around the league. Who is currently in the lead for MVP? Are there things a team could do to improve? We want it to be 24/7 coverage of happenings around the league.
We're hoping to produce some podcasts in the future and if possible create some YouTube content. It's all in good fun and the more people involved the better.
Let me know your thoughts on improvements we can make or if you want to join the team!
