Dewalt sucks lmap
Quote:- Expansion GM players (Dewalt and Woelker) will count as a player taken in the expansion draft, but will not be taken through the draft order. I'm new to everything, so I'm asking for clarification. Dewalt and Woelker are ISFL GM's with active players, that's why they will count as a player taken. However, Highhaschdi also will become a GM and already has a player, will his player count as well since he has to move him to his new team? If the answer is yes, my subsequent question is: will Dewalt and HighHasch count as Baltimore's two expansion players taken? If not, will they receive compensation for losing two players, both in War Room, and still having to lose a 3rd player? You picked someone who is already currently the GM of an ISFL team and someone who was very recently the GM of another ISFL team to GM new expansion teams instead of giving it to literally anyone else who puts time into the league who hasnt had that opportunity yet? Nothing personal to the selections (I'm sure they'll be awesome and I really do look forward to seeing the branding) but I kind of expected better from a league that talks about player/community growth. Building a ISFL team from the ground up is a insanely hard task, During the selection process they have to choose people who have current or previous GMing experience. There are an incredible amount of things you have to do and learn while becoming a GM of a current team let alone the cultural and developmental tasks involved in an expansion team, of course they are going to choose people who have been in that position. (hell I still have to help current GMs sometimes with the 1 or 2 facets of the section of their job I am involved with) Something I urge you to remember is that these opportunities were filled and then their previous positions became open. If you want to be a GM, talk to your current GM or if you are in the ISFL, also try talking to the GMs of the team you were on in the DSFL, or branch out even further than that, and talk to the GMs of other teams (After talking to your own GM to avoid tampering of course). Allow them to find you a position in the war room and eventually as a GM when they decide to retire or move onto and expansion team or if they are a DSFL GM and they move up to an ISFL team. The league is about user and community growth. But giving an expansion team to people who don't know the ins and outs of the occupation yet is asking someone to learn to swim by throwing them in the ocean with cinderblocks tied to their ankles. If your, or whoever else's, dreams are to become GMs, start small and work your way up. Please don't be so condescending to the entire league. Hardly anything is solved by being passive aggressive. That's why @iStegosauruz is so effective

Is this a shot at me or a compliment? I honestly can't tell. I also think Kya wasn't really condescending here. Expressing dissent to decisions is not the same being condescending in my mind. I mean it as respect for how forward you are. That's hard for a lot of people, but very effective way of forcing things to get done.

It really wasn't that condescending, not every single negative or critical thing is some slight against the league to its core. |
