Hello and greetings. Recently, the ISFL GMs as a group made a mistake. We shot down proposal 1 found at this link, which i will also copy below.
In the ISFL Rulebook II.A.4, it states: "At any point outside of a specified rules summit, an ISFL or DSFL GM can make a proposal. If it gains informal approval of 70% of GMs of the appropriate level, it can then be presented for an immediate vote of all appropriate voters, where it will be passed as per normal and implemented when it is best done. A proposal from the Head office can follow the same route if it receives support from 4 HO members." The GMs as a whole chose to take advantage of this rule to fix the mistakes that made it not pass to begin with. I volunteered to lead the rules vote and create the ballot for it, and the rule did receive the 15 necessary votes to pass. As a result, Sec. V.D.4.3 will be removed from the rulebook effective immediately and will not be factored into the awards committee's decisions this and any other season.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to reach out to your GM or myself and we'd be happy to explain more.
Code:
Eliminate Rule 4 Section 3 of the Awards Section as it too strictly limits player flexibility. Rule 4 Section 2 (the 60% rule) has shown to be more than enough of a clear limiter without Section 3 on top of it.
