Hello league! Just a few announcements from your neighborhood friendly DSFL HO:
1. We have hired a new Head of the Rookie Mentor Team! As usual, we had some great applicants, but we walked away with someone who has proven to be a valuable member of the Rookie Mentor team and has some great ideas for the future. Congratulations to @SchwarzNarr !
2. As you may know we've had a lot of turnover with the Rookie Mentor team in general, so if you applied for the Rookie Mentor position, don't worry we haven't forgotten about you. As is typical for many league jobs, we decided to let the new Rookie Mentor Department Head make the hiring decisions regarding the new Rookie Mentors. So, be on the lookout for that hiring process in this coming week.
3. DSFL HO Intern hiring! Some are under the impression that HO doesn't have a traditional hiring process. This both true and false. It's not traditional in the sense that it is the same as other departments. But it is traditional in the sense that it has a regular, consistent, and widely announced hiring process: through Interns. Why is that? Doing it this way, HO is able to be more transparent to applicants about what goes into HO work, and HO is able to essentially vet applicants for a season before hiring them on full time. So if you want to apply to be a part of HO at either level, you want to apply to be an intern. And what do you know, we are looking to hire at least one DSFL HO Intern! If you haven't sent in an application for this, please do so ASAP as possible. If you have already sent in an app, it wouldn't hurt to send one of us (Tom Hanks, ephenssta, or I) a reminder to make sure that we have your name down and you're still interested. Internviews and decision in the coming week.
TLDR: There is none, it's not that long, just read it yourself.
Thank you for making my first league announcement a success and please go easy on me. Now wash your hands and anything else that needs washing.
