Welcome to the second edition of Maple’s Money Picks!
Each game week, I’ll pick all of the ISFL games and I hopefully won’t regret keeping track of my record throughout the season. Each week, I'll designate one pick as my Maple's Money Pick which will be worth double points.

Week 2
Philadelphia Liberty (0-1) at Austin Copperheads (1-0)
- Philly lost a heartbreaker last week while Austin ended up with a 12 point win over the Hahalua. Look for Zoe Watts to have another strong game on the ground as Austin gets another win thanks to timely defense and solid offense.
Player of the Game: RB Zoe Watts
Colorado Yeti (1-0) at Chicago Butchers (1-0)
- This it the game of the week and will come down to the wire. Both QBs played lights out last game and we could have an old-fashioned shootout. Home field is just a little too much for the Yeti to overcome as they get Butchered in the Windy City.
Player of the Game: QB George O'Donnell
New Orleans Second Line (1-0) at Honolulu Hahalua (0-1)
- What time is it? Tōriki time! The Second Line rode their running game to a Week 1 victory and as the saying goes...if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Honolulu had some bad defensive lapses last week and I don't think they get it figured out in time to knock off New Orleans.
Player of the Game: RB Marcella Tōriki
Orange County Otters (1-0) at New York Silverbacks (0-1)
- New York needed that opening week win to avoid back to back losses, which is what they're staring at after this week. Ramza plays better, the Otter offense actually decides to show up, the Orange County will start the season 2-0.
Player of the Game: RB Tatsu Nakamura
Arizona Outlaws (0-1) at San Jose Sabercats (0-1)
- Both of these teams are coming off an opening week loss and are desperately trying to avoid the 0-2 hole. San Jose could've won their game against the Otters, while Arizona just couldn't stop the Second Line on the ground. The rough start for Arizona continues.
Player of the Game: RB Jamar Lackson
Baltimore Hawks (1-0) at Yellowknife Wraiths (0-1)
- I would not want to be playing Yellowknife this week. They're angry, focused, and will defend their home turf to the last man. This was almost my money pick this week as I absolutely love the Wraiths to bring the pain against Baltimore.
Player of the Game: RB Acura Skyline

Berlin Fire Salamanders (1-0) at Sarasota Sailfish (0-1)
- Berlin is feeling good after their week one victory and the Sailfish are reeling. But this is a great matchup for Sarasota to get back to their winning ways and take out some frustration against the Fire Salamanders. Look for the Fish to extinguish any hopes Berlin has of starting 2-0.
Player of the game: TE James Angler
