Leeroy Jenkins was contacted by the Humane Society of Colorado and asked to be a celebrity endorser after his successful rookie season. They said they would pay him but since they are a non profit, it wouldn't be very much. Leeroy said the only payment he needs is the knowledge that all the amazing animals they take care of get fit into good future homes and that he would love to be a part of their next adoption campaign! The day arrived a week before the Yeti's first game of the 25th season. There was a lot of anticipation about how the team was going to repeat their visit to the Ultimus last season and the Humane Society decided to capitalize on that hype. Leeroy was also joined by a few other current Yeti and also some Yeti alums. By the end of the day, the record for adoptions in a single day had been doubled and over 100,000 dollars had been donated by fans of the team and others in the community. Leeroy was so happy with the results that he promised that as long as he was in Colorado, he would be a part of this annual event to help connect homes with four legged family members.
