Dear Norfolk,
When you drafted me in the fifteenth round and with the one hundred and eighteenth pick, I was in bed, watching the stream. It was two in the morning, and I had watched pick after pick go by as I was wondering if I would be able to stay up enough to watch myself get picked. When I was finally announced at pick one-eighteen, I was elated. I probably was more excited than a fifteenth rounder in a sim league had any right to be. Yet the Seawolves gave me a team, and for that I am forever grateful. Over that first season, you guys really made me feel like a strong part of the team, despite how awful of an earner I was. I cannot thank you enough @ScorpXCracker @juniped @bex. You guys really made this time as great as it could be for a bad quarterback who didn’t really know what he was doing.
@J0EB, when we took over the team after that heart-breaking loss to Tijuana in the Conference Championship Game, I knew that we would achieve something great, and I think we really have. That season was incredible, and you’ve still not gotten the proper recognition for your work. Working and getting Norfolk their first Ultimini in franchise history was incredible, and I am so happy that we were the ones who were able to do that for Norfolk.
Over my time as GM, I have seen some truly incredibly people come into this team and make it just one of my favourite places to be. Too many to note them all in here. But I just want all of you Seawolves to know that you’ve made my tenure as general manager such a pleasant one, and I owe you all so much for making me feel so great about myself.
As we all know, there are no constants in this league, and when it comes to the DSFL, it is always about paving it forward. Juni and Scorp paved the way for me to take my turn, now it is my turn to pay it forward for the next general Manager of the Norfolk Seawolves. So, without further ado, I would like to welcome @Jimi64. This man has been an incredible locker room presence, has shown an incredible competence throughout our war room, and I cannot wait to see what he can achieve as a figurehead of this franchise. Jimi, I wish you the best lad; You’re going to kill it.
Dear Norfolk, nine months ago you welcomed me into your organisation, and I have been so grateful for that. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms, helping me guide my way through my time in this league, and I hope that I’ve been able to do justice to you as a team.
Regards,
Blasoon
