Effective immediately I will be stepping down from my position as GM of the Philadelphia Liberty. I wish I could look back and say that my time as a GM was a positive one but it was not. I would not be surprised to see my name included with others when talking about failed GMs as my time as a GM was one marked with conflict and disappointment. In my time as a GM of the liberty, the activity on the team was nonexistent. What was once an active locker room is now a ghost town due to a lack on creating a Liberty culture. Many members of the team have asked for trades, most of which were high earning active members.
And all the blame is towards myself. I made some questionable decisions on draft nights and failed the liberty in keeping the team together. Sorry is not enough and I know my stepping down is going to hurt the liberty right now, but I believe it will help them in the long term. I am so thankful for all the people I was able to meet along the way throughout my time as GM.
@ "JOEB"
This guy was always there for drafting and even sim testing. Norfolk GM who I believe could come in and GM anywhere and take teams to a championship. Was a great LR presence for us and a great friend for me to seek guidance from.
@Memento Mori
While the end of my time may have ruined my friendship with mori with how I handled his trade request, I am forever grateful for what he helped me achieve through his sim testing and his time as my co. He was a great leader and a wonderful person. Mori helped teach me several key pieces of the sim to help with the build of my receiver. Hopefully one day we can look back on this and laugh, but I will always hold you in high regards.
@juniped
While not as close as the others, Juni actually did teach me a ton as a GM, just about not football related things. I learned a lot more regarding baseball and that Astros are bad. Juni was definitely one of the more light hearted guys in Philly and I really enjoyed getting to know him better.
@Frick_Nasty and @woelkers
These two were probably my second closest team of GMs that helped me throughout my tenure. Management chat guidance was a great thing to learn from these guys, but they also served a role in just being someone to just have a good laugh messaging with. Had to group them together because they were fantastic.
@Frostbite
Probably my closest GM on another team during my tenure, Frost is arguably one of the best GMs in the league. What started with the two of us playing skribbl.io late at night developed into a true friendship and a person I will always hold in high regards. Was there to listen to my rants as a GM almost every night after he got finished killing me in Among Us. Frost rocks lmap!
@Hallmonitor_20
Last and certainly not least is Hall. Hall is my closest friend and mentor throughout my entire time as a GM. Hall was the one who first hired me as an ISFL GM and even when I was Portland's GM would be the first person I would go to whenever I needed help. But Hall is more then that as he has been there to help me with my real life issues. Hall was more then just a sim friend, he was a brother to me when I needed it most. I cannot explain in enough words how much Hall has impacted me personally. I just hope one day he accepts my Facebook friend request.
There are still so many others to thank including inverted for being one of my first and longest friends in the league from when we played on tijuana together, @Rusfan for easily being my best friend in the league and just being there for me even when he did not entirely knew what was going on @iamslm22 for helping me learn about the league in general, @Fordhammer for being the receiver I looked up to and @goodfortunecoffee for helping me spread positive things every Monday.
Thank you all and #KeepRinging
