He has had tragedy affect his life on a daily .When he was born he was abandoned and left to die on the streets, eventually DHR took him . He bounced from foster home to foster his whole life. He eventually was kicked out to live on the streets . The school he went to he would sleep under the bleachers. At night he would study the football plays. The kid is really talented but a lot of scouts don't come to Wyoming to recruit . He is bullied in school and overall he takes it even though some kids spit on him because they don't like him for who he is. Lorenzo Smith II goals in life is to get a degree. But he wants to play football. Everyday after practice he runs , he runs and he does drills to help him excell. He will become a beast is what he says.Everyday when he gets up before he trains he thanks god for allowing him to play highschool football. He is used to everyone not believing in him . He is a Diamond In the Rough. Someone who is fully dedicated and willing to put it all on the line for his team everyday and everynight. He has the defining trait of a leader and someone who is determined to win at all cost. He also attends local shelters to help people In need, He also got a job at a cracker barrel and instead of buying stuff for his needs . He donates it to the church and to those In need. He dresses baggy and he is poor. But everyday and everynight he wakes up with a smile on his face.Ready to give it all on the football field. Lorenzo’s favorite board game is uno and he loves to play it. He has gone through a lot of trails in his life. He has fought for every right to be successful. He then went on to college to play college football at alabama he balled out getting pick after pick. Running down the sidelines picking it off over and over again. Playing his heart out day in and day out Impress scouts and gathering national attention. He put in more work In the offseason pumping the iron and drinking the protein shakes. Freshman year he lived on campus talking to pretty women and getting to know people. He put hard work in on his grade his parents always told him to focus on grades and football. He always was hard on himself and He believe when nobody else did . People have doubted him day in and day out. He made the SEC all american as a freshman . led the nation in INTS, Led In tackles . Led In fumbles. In the SEC he led in The conference In INTS, led the conferenceIn tackles, Led In fumbles. He was a Sec conference.He was an explorer on campus . He likes to go on campus adventures. He likes to have fun and he loves to see the beautiful things of tuscaloosa . The best part of the campus of tuscaloosa Is Denny chimes. Lorenzo would always go there to hangout after his studies. He also loves to Go to Ferguson center.Alabama Tuscaloosa University is popular among students for its ample and well-cataloged library space. The building is accessible to all students, teachers, and other people around the campus.
And contrary to belief, space is not all stuffy and suffocating. Lorenzo loved the campus atmosphere which made him go there. It just had happiness on his face. His face is always shining as he walks through the school doors with his books In his hand. He met the girls of his dreams who he would eventually go on and marry and have a happy life with. He was a Dominant Defensive Football Player In his whole college career. Back In highschool Incredibly intelligent in school and on field, but overlooked because he went to a small high school only played 27 plays in first three years, and only received starting position as middle linebacker in Senior year due to transfer of teammate, but ended up becoming a defensive leader physically, but emotionally as well as a specialist in the inside blitz and a superb cover safety total. wishes to become a college coach himself, plans to go into Athletic Training major which he majored In The university of alabama. Lorenzo had a gpa of 4.0 All throughout highschool and was always studying and working very hard because he was always holding himself to a higher standard. He would work hard at night when nobody else did train hard when nobody else did . He would wake up and train . He was always active and always studying his playbook. Sometimes he would draw little plays in it . He wanted to be a coach after his career was over he wanted to get involved in any way possible.He loves being around his teammates most of all the sacred bond he sets with his teammates . Not a time goes by that he misses His High School career.Time will show his determination to the game . Lorenzo now is gonna tell you how he met the most beautiful girl. One day lorenzo was walking down the street and noticed the most beautiful girl and he wanted to impress her .He wanted to make her laugh and smile and make her enjoy her day. Eventually they started dating . It just took off from there though he was dating he stayed focused on getting his degree and bringing his grades up.Kept focusing day and night with his little lamp light on studying. His favorite subject was always history. He would Finish In the top of his class. He would write essays on a daily basis in all honors classes and he would always get A+’s on all his tests.See college was one of the best times for lorenzo. He got to explore coming from a small town. He really didn’t have that opportunity to go out and explore because there weren't a lot of things to do.Remember He is from one of the smallest cities in the United States there's hardly anything . The nearest walmart is like 50 miles away and all the stores are so far away. So when he got to college he went out. T-town aka tuscaloosa is one of the most beautiful campuses around. That's why when lorenzo came he was so excited to see it. Like tuscaloosa has multiple things to do during the week and on a saturday night . For instance you have a strip mall. Which is a mall on the strip of town. You also have an outdoor mall. You have multiple stores Such as Nikey , Gamestop, Dicks, Target, Home Depot, Old navy, Belk,Macy and many more. The food places there are super awesome because you have stuff ranging from Low tier fast food to top tier restaurants. The whole city just breathes college life every step of the way. First time on campus lorenzo got lost he couldn’t find his class . I know you can imagine a kid from Wyoming headed to alabama? Seems far from home and a totally different state. You bet it took a toll on Lorenzo. Yes he was homesick and missed his small town . But he was also happy to start a new chapter In his life. He was excited to start a new adventure . He needed a fresh start because of all the tragic events he had at home. From being an orphan to proving himself on the football field. Even though he missed home, Alabama was an escape for him.Now back to the time Lorenzo got lost. So yeah you can imagine a fresh new from wyoming kid stepping off the bus into an unknown territory. You feel shocked for one thing. The temperature is way more different , Alabama has that southern heat while in Wyoming it's always snowing.You know so he had all these different buildings he was confused from left to right . This was a whole lot different from the digital map he saw . He was bumping into people now because he was running late . He was nervous because he didn’t want to give a bad first impression on the professor . In highschool Lorenzo was always on time and he would always make sure to be at class 20 minutes early. That’s why he was so stressed out because he was running late. He was running into the wrong buildings.Running the wrong way. People were looking at him funny and like who is that kid and why is he running so fast?He sure does have some wheels on him . He eventually found his way to class. A school administrator.Lorenzo's biggest impact in college was Nick Saban, a very important role model for him . See Nick saw the potential in dear lorenzo he saw how bright he was . The potential he was gonna bring for his team the alabama crimson tide. See That’s why Nick brought him because of his talent and the man he was off the field. He knew Lorenzo would have an immediate impact on the team . He expressed tremendous leadership skills.He showed generosity.He would always make the guys laugh in the locker room he would always try to ease tension and make sure everybody was getting hype for the game. There was one time lorenzo came into the locker room dressed as a chicken everybody died laughing. It was so hilarious here was a 6’2 210 pound safety pecking his head like a chicken you can imagine how the locker room acted . Guys rolling on their back from laughing so hard. Lorenzo made everybody feel like kids, even his coaches that were older than 70. He would always do silly stuff. Like one time he threw a whip cream pie at a coach. The coach tried to hit him with a cane but Lorenzo was too fast and too busy running circles around him . That's what he brought. He always pushes others to be better people . He has hope when nobody else does. Lorenzo is a winner and he wants to be an inspiration to the kids around the world that had it rough and had hard times. Lorenzo knows what it's like to live on the streets and he promised himself he would never live on the streets again. That's why he went to alabama because Nick Saban was gonna teach him skills in life that he would use forever. Nick Saban was the father Lorenzo never had. To this day everyday lorenzo always calls Nick to ask how his day is going . Because the impact Nick had on his life was tremendous . Nick was always there when Lorenzo messed up . He always told lorenzo look kid sometimes things don’t go your way but you gotta keep fighting you can’t lie down and roll over and quiet. You're not a quitter son, you're a winner. You have what it takes to be one of the best safeties I have ever seen. But it’s gonna come with a lot of hardwork and dedication and putting in the work when everybody else goes home.See Lorenzo wanted to be a part of this program because Nick Said it was like family .Lorenzo knew this is where he would put his demons to rest and find peace .He had to fight everyday In highschool to survive on his own . He knew this was the best option to put everything to rest. He knew he was going to play for one of the greatest college coaches of all time .He wanted to be a part of a team that expressed the word winner and alabama did that . Nick Saban always said life was a team game and he was so right. He learned so much under Nick he learned how to read offensive and defense plays better he was a lorenzo was a tremendous athlete all around though later on when lorenzo entered the draft he would play safety. In college he played multiple positions on offense and defense he was all over the place . He impacted the offense as much as he did the defense . Making plays all around the field and knocking people down on both sides . He Is a future star. But he was everywhere . Nick taught him so much. Like what to do if you see a wr drop back for a screen and what do you do if you see like 4 wrs line up. Lorenzo gave his all in practice just as he did in games . He always gave 110% percent and if he got knocked down he would get back up and give another 110%. He inspired his teammates to play better and overall the team's performance skyrocketed . They were winning by huge blowouts in Lorenzo’s freshman year . No team could keep up with them.They were too fast and too quick and always getting there and hitting them in the mouth. The 3 years lorenzo was at Alabama they called that team each year one of the greatest bama teams ever assembled . People were scared to play these guys because they knew they would get their rear end kicked back to wherever they came from . Lorenzo taught some of his teammates how to tune out the crowd and just hear silence . Nothing more . Had them breathing in and out of their nose and closing their eyes before they step on the field .He wanted to make sure everybody would play at their best effort. If he didn’t see you playing at your best he would let you know . They called lorenzo mini Nick Saban. He always silences the haters. He never let people in highschool,college set the bar too low for him. He was always told to shoot for the stars every chance he got and always keep swinging . Sometimes people will put you down , sometimes you feel hopeless like you're in outer space but you gotta grab a hold of yourself and know you can do it. Lorenzo runs up hills on a daily he improves his speed , his strength. On the field you see how high he can jump is amazing. How he can outrun everything to him the game goes by in slow motion. He feels like he can pause it whenever he can .See growing up lorenzo had nothing that's what fueled him to be even better on the field and in the classroom . Lorenzo is always humble on the field for any team that has him on their draft boards. The kid is a great addition to anybody's locker room as a rookie you will see him step up and be a leader.
