It's been an exhilarating first few days for Brice Boggs in Yellowknife. The Kentucky native was sitting at home, channel surfing through all the networks to find the status on the re-signing of Jurell Casey when he got the call from Yellowknife. At first, he couldn't believe it. Boggs was getting signed by an NSFL team! Boggs immediately called his mother and all his relatives (including all 4 of his brothers and 3 of his sisters) to tell them about the good news. He begun arrangements to head to Yellowknife. He began packing. He said his goodbyes and such to his family, booked the soonest flight to Yellowknife (first class of course). The flight took 20 hours to Yellowknife! When he finally arrived at Yellowknife airport, He noticed it was so small compared to the airports he'd been to. And when he got outside he noticed it was so damn cold compared to Kentucky! On the day he arrived it was only about 70 degrees, but the day he left it was in the 90s. It felt like winter already to Boggs. He got his bags and exchanged 25,000 $ into Canadian dollars, which drew some suspicious looks from people around. He then took a taxi to the Chevy dealership in Yellowknife, got himself a pickup truck and headed to his hotel which where he would be staying for the next few days while he got housing arranged. Driving was much harder than he expected in the ice and nearly hit a deer on his way to the hotel! Yes, a deer! He dropped his stuff off at the hotel and drove to the Centre Square Mall to get him 6 parkas, 10 Wraiths jerseys (one Nuck Jersey, one Garden jersey, one Orosz jersey, one Smallwood jersey, one Maddox jersey, one Akelsen jersey, one Floggity jersey, one Cushing jersey, one Lavelle jersey, and one Booter jersey). Canada all seemed new to him, as he rarely traveled before. The next day at practice, he arrived with warm regards and gazed in awe at the Wraiths practice field, facilities, and especially, the most feared stadium in all of the NSFL, The Burial Grounds. He examined his new locker, all fresh and clean with his name on top. A beauty. From then on, Boggs new he had to get his ass in shape. He had to get better. Soon. He couldn't sleep that first night. He was just taking it in.
