I took the prior TPE totals from the updates that were the weekend of the DSFL draft and the Current TPE is current updates that aren't currently processed but on their updates pages. We can see who has a big bank based on TPE totals into the 300's and have already bought S26 equipment.
One thing I noticed when looking at past ISFL drafts is that skill positions and quarterbacks tend to fall down draft boards while defensive lineman and defensive backs tend to rise. Maybe it's a depth thing but my guess is that these are integral parts of any teams success in the sim, and positions like wide receiver, linebacker, running back, and quarterback tend to not make an impact immediately (I assume) and are better immediate DSFL needs. So with that said let's take a look at who could rise and fall in the ISFL draft.
As the only defensive lineman taken in the first 2 rounds in last years DSFL draft I think it's fair to say that Ernest Lover is as close to a consensus number 1 pick as there will be this year. He might not end up there but that's where my money would go. He is up there for best earner of this class so far, due in part to his bank allowing him to purchase S26 equipment already. He will step in immediately and makes the jump from last pick of the first round to top pick of the first round.
Welp, after that it's all downhill from here since it's anyone's guess as to who could go next. I fully expect both quarterbacks to fall out of the first round and possibly out of the second. Cornerback is incredibly thin in this class, so unless someone changes position I don't see Slurms Mckenzie moving into the first round. There are a couple solid safeties that went in the first round that probably both end up in the top half of the first round again. Dogwood Maple has had some of the best media since coming into the league. With his high TPE and bank account I think he is a no brainer top 3 pick. Derek Wildstar is another great safety and a great user. He seems like solid first rounder as well. Another safety!!. Moe Skeeter didn't make it into the top 2 rounds in the DSFL draft but comes in as one of the highest earners ahead of the ISFL draft. It's possible we get 3 safeties taken in the first round. There is a lot of top end talent.
There are a lot of Linebackers and Wide Receivers in this class. Someone will have to fall and it could all come down to Locker Room fit, build, bank account, recreate, etc. Look in this area for a lot of value to be had. Running Backs will fall because of need but they are great value picks since they are two of the best earners in the class.
1. - Ernest Lover - DE
Berlin grabs their future stud defensive lineman. He immediately steps in and provides a boost to their defense.
2. - Dogwood Maple - S
Only 1 current safety above 400 so Maple immediately jump in to pair with Thor Kirby for a very young, intimidating secondary.
3. - Leonard Taylor - LB
Baltimore could go a few different ways here on defense. Most likely a safety or a linebacker, and possibly a position change but probably a best player available on defense. I hate myself for slotting LT so high lol.
4. - Moe Skeeter - S
Secondary seems like a need here and Skeeter can help a defense short on it.
5. - BamBam McMullet - LB
This was a pretty hard one. NOLA is pretty spread out when it comes to talent so they possibly look to grab a linebacker here for the future and some depth.
6. - Raphael Delacour - WR
The story of this draft so far has been defense. We see our first offensive player come off the board to Philadelphia here. Naught looks to make an immediate impact on the Liberty.
7. - Vincent Jones - LB
Another team that can go in a couple different directions. I think we see another linebacker go here.
8. - Big Slammu - LB
The first of 2 first rounds picks for Chicago. They could use this to move up and grab a top user that they would otherwise miss out on, but I think there is a ton of good users still around.
9. - Richard Littlewood - OL
Could pencil in Alexander Franklin here as he is just as good. It's really just a user fit so swap these if you want. I'll give the nod to my Bondi Beach Brother.
10. - Cobra Kai- RB
Probably the best pick of the draft if he slides this far. The best earner so far and goes to a team that needs a second active RB. Crazy value at this pick.
11. - Mr. Forty-Two - RB
After mocking a linebacker to the Butchers at #8, I think they grab the other great running back from this class. Two solid picks here, which I believe are both recreates.....don't quote me.
12. - Derek Wildstar - S
The third safety in this class end up in the first round. They need defensive back help and this would fill that need. Maybe not the corner they want but they can make things work.
13. - Tom Teboat - TE
The first tight end off the board. Jaja Ding Dong would be slotted here but he is a GM so Teboat gets the distinction of first tight end taken.
14. - Tugg Speedman - WR
Last but not least, the reigning Ultimus Champions get a playmaker in Tugg. Tuggernuts can be a special player; a solid pick here for the Sabercats to finish out the first round.
In conclusion I have no idea how correct this is but I just tried to look at the compendium and TPE tracker to evaluate needs. No user bias was done when looking at this so it's very possible that this could be a lot different, but I tried to look at positional fits. Most teams said they were looking for defensive lineman and defensive back help. The problem is that without position changes those are the two weakest positions in this draft class. Safety is deep but cornerback, defensive end, and defensive tackle are all very thin so it will be interesting to see if any of those players jump into the first round or if any player makes a position swap.
After posting this I noticed that it's possible Cobra Kai goes to Chicago at #8 and Mr. Forty-Two goes to Sarasota at #10. This allows Chicago to get the best player and running back in the draft, and then taking best player available defensively at #11.
