EPISODE TWO
Week One Results:
OTTERS(1-0) @ OUTLAWS(0-1)
GOTW
Winner: Otters-45-42
Summary:
Starting off with my game of the week, we have the Otters pulling off a 45-42 win in an absolute barn burner of a season opener. In perhaps the best QB duel we’ll see all season, the Otters Suleman Ramza faced off against the Outlaws Jay Cue. In a duel that could almost be considered a passing of the torch, with Cue starting to hit regression and Ramza still entering his prime, the two QB’s showed their best, both throwing for 3 TDs and no INTs. Any defensive stop came at a premium, and the first team to make a mistake was sure to go home a loser. The team that broke first was the Outlaws, allowing Brandon Brooker to return a punt 98 yards to the house, now an ISFL record. The Otters start the season off right at 1-0, and the Outlaws find themselves unfortunately dropping a crucial home stand to start the year.
Notable Players:
OCO:
Suleman Ramza-QB-285 Yds, 3 TDs, 0 INTs
Deshun Jones-LB-8 Tcks, 1 Sck, 1 PD
ARI:
Jay Cue-QB-383 Yds, 3 TDs, 0 INTs
Logan Noble Jr-DE-4 Tcks, 1 TFL, 2 Scks
POTG:
After just coming off of a 4-and-out following the safety keeping them in the game, the Otters defense forced a punt with 3:19 left on the clock in the 2nd, Brandon Booker took the punt 98 yards to the house to give the Otters a 32-28 lead.
Team Reactions:
Crunk:
Tough loss, go next. Though I expected us to win, I think a lot of people had written us off. I think we still showed we have the team to do well this season, even in a tight loss.
Jeffie43:
well it was a tough game to begin with to start the season off on the road against a good team so I'm just happy getting the win despite how ugly it got lol. Obviously our FA signings this offseason paid off big time, Mori had like 3 PDs and the longest PR in ISFL history, Heath had a 30 yard reception to set up the game winning FG and Rotti helped improve our dline which was really obvious with the safety and the sacks/TFLs. Overall just happy to see the new guys do well and get the win
HAWKS(0-1) @ BUTCHERS(1-0)
Winner: Butchers-29-23 OT
Summary:
A game nobody expected to be close ended up coming down to the wire, with maybe the most clutch or lucky play you’ll see all year. With just 11 seconds left RB Tucker Jr carried the ball expecting just to go down and run the rest of the clock off, but then fumbled and Baltimore recovered, and kicked a shocking game tying 56 yard field goal with no time left on the clock to send the game to OT. The Hawks won the toss and elected to receive the ball first, and looked to be marching down the field to kick the field goal to take the lead. But on 3rd down QB Fujiwara was sacked and the Hawks were forced to punt, and the Butchers were able to march down the field and escape with the win.
Notable Players:
CHI:
Julio Tirtawidjaja-RB-101 Yds, 4.4 Ypc, 1 TD
Mike Hockhertz-LB-7 Tcks, 2 PDs, 1 INT
BAL:
Doug Howlett-WR-6 Cat, 115 Yds
IHeart Syracuse-S-10 Tcks, 2 PDs, 2 INTs, 1 TD
POTG:
With 13:11 left in the OT period, Damian Blackfire sacked BAL QB Fujiwara for a loss of 6 on 3rd down, knocking the Hawks out of FG range and giving CHicago possession.
Team Reactions:
Pleaseendmenow:
Bayley:
"You know, it was a really hard fought win. We had some real bad luck, if I am being honest with you. We went up 23-6 and took the pedal off the medal there in the 3rd quarter a little bit. We gave up 17 points in the 4th quarter including that fumble to end regulation. At the end of the day, we need to be better. I think that's just the realistic part of it. I really liked some parts of the game, especially the defense. I thought the defense looked really good. We had 7 sacks, but, we need to keep going. I thought our run game was also very good with Yoda and Tirt splitting the carries. We know what to expect now, we cant' take any game for granted."
SAILFISH(0-1) @ YETI(1-0)
Winner: Yeti-27-15
Summary:
Home field advantage likely played the difference in this game, with the Yeti and the Sailfish finding themselves in very similar situations going into the year. Caliban and Boss Jr put up similar statlines, with Caliban putting up slightly more yardage and 1 more TD pass. Ultimately the difference in this game came down to red zone efficiency. On the Sailfish’s 4 trips to the redzone, they were forced to settle for field goals on 3 of those trips, only coming away with 1 TD. By contrast, the Yeti scored 3 TDs on all 3 of their redzone trips, adding 2 long field goals on top. Both teams seem like they’ll need to lean on their defenses this season, still developing rookie QB’s.
Notable Players:
COL:
William Lim-WR-6 Cat, 11 Yds
Randy Vuxta-CB-4 Tcks, 1 Sck, 3 PDs
SAR:
Michael Witheblock-WR-6 Cat, 102 Yds
Teddy Utterstruzen-S-6 Tcks, 2 PDs, 1 INT
POTG:
With 12:26 left in the 3rd, and the Yeti needing any kind of spark for their offense, Joel Drake picked off Mike Boss Jr setting up the Yeti offense with a 1st & 10 on the Sarasota 35
Team Reactions:
Frost:
Our rookies played very well in week 1. Boss threw the ball a lot, and while he did not have any TDs, he showed he is capable of running an ISFL offense. I'm very impressed with our defense. We had picks, PDs, and several sacks, and limited the Yeti offense to a minimum. Too bad the offense and special teams unit let us down this week, but for our hardest game of the season I'm happy with the results
Syl & TVC:
It was a great win by the team. All around effort. We put in a lot of work this offseason, especially with the new guys. Vuxta moving to cornerback really was a revelation. I think he had a great game. And Edd has been working hard this offseason - he's been hunting all preseason, and finally got one today. We worked on fundamentals with NSFL, and I think we're seeing that pay off today. Smoothie had a great game defensively and as a returner. Looked unstoppable at certain parts. And finally seeing Drake at Free Safety full time was exciting. He's had a great pre-season and Im glad to see it translate to the field today. Have to also shout out Caliban on his first start. All in all, I think he played well for his first real game. Protected the ball well. Had that nice toss to Lim down the sideline. Obviously theres still a lot of work to be done, but I can't be upset about a performance like that
SABERCATS(1-0) @ HAHALUA(0-1)
Winner: Sabercats-27-24
Summary:
Probably the one unexpected outcome this week, SJS winning is likely what kept you from 4 TPE (grumble grumble grumble). SJS’s 3 point upset is an amalgamation of their last 2 seasons, nobody believes in them but them, and they win anyways. As for Honalulu, they will likely look back on this game as a bad start to a weak season, and see this as a game they should have won. SJS’s offense was just good enough, and a spirited Hahalua comeback in the 4th fell just short due to time. Not the most notable game this week, but maybe I need to start giving SJS more credit.
Notable Players:
SJS:
Tychondrius Hood-WR-6 Cat, 98 Yds, 1 TD
Rich Triplet-CB-7 Tcks, 1 PD, 1 INT
HON:
Jed Podolak-WR-5 Cat, 108 Yds, 1 TD
Heinrich Kackpoo-LB-10 Tcks, 1 TFL, 1 Sck
POTG:
With 8:53 left in the 2nd, Rich Triplet picked off QB Skywalker setting the Sabercats with a 1st and goal on the 9, strengthening their lead.
Team Reactions:
Gucci:
Nothing
CkRoyal:
Our defense came to play tonight, especially our young DBs. Our secondary is probably the closest thing to a "weakness" on our roster, or at least perceived that way, but all 3 of our young CBs came up with picks tonight. The offense did their thing as usual, keeping control of the football & after the long run from Skywalker, our defense locked it down.
COPPERHEADS @ SECONDLINE
Winner: Second Line-24-21 OT
Summary:
Another game closer than expected, NOLA still managed to hold on for the win. The second of 2 OT games this week, fans were spoiled for great games to watch. This game was a tale of two halves, with the first being dominated by the Second Line, and the second by the Copperheads. New Orleans jumped out to a 21-0 lead before Austin stormed back to tie the game 21-21. Both teams traded unsuccessful positions before New Orleans got the ball back and marched down for a 27 yard game winning field goal. The second line surely hoped to win this game by a bigger margin but in the ISFL wins come at a premium and New Orleans should just be happy they didn't blow a game they should win
Notable Players:
NOLA:
Marcella Toriki-RB-92 Yds, 1 TD
Literally Just A Hexagon-S-9 Tcks, 2 PDs, 1 INT, 1 TD
AUS:
Eddie Jeeta-WR-7 Cat, 119 Yds
Brach Thomasacher-LB-7 Tcks, 1 TFL, 1 Sck
POTG:
With 13:27 left in the 2nd, neither team had any life in their offenses and both had yet to score, when Hexagon Intercepted a Cole pass to Eddie Jeeta and returned it 53 yards to the house, giving NOLA a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.
Team Reactions:
Directors Cut:
We are obviously happy to get a win go start the season. Defense had a great game especially the secondary that had 3 interceptions including a pick six. Ranger had a great game as well including a huge sack in overtime that forced a punt and then Slothlisberger hit Barker for a huge gain that put us in field goal range.
Amidships:
We were happy with the performance, honestly. With a QB regressing as hard as our fearless leader has, it's always a gamble. We're looking to limit turnovers and are relying on the defense to keep us in games and think we have a chance to be competitive, even with Cole's age. Looking forward to the next few weeks as we dial in our strategy a bit further and get our young O-Line into Major League shape to keep Cole clean.
FIRE SALAMANDERS @ SILVERBACKS
Winner: Silverbacks-38-20
Summary:
The silverbacks and the fire salamanders played in week one last year with the fire salamanders coming out on top 30-27. This time around the silverbacks were victorious by a much more convincing margin. New York showed why I believe them to be the more superior expansion team with a much more impressive quarterback in Sam Howitzer throwing for almost 300 yards 3 touchdowns and no interceptions. The silverbacks controlled the game from the outset scoring a touchdown just 6 minutes in never losing the lead. They were up 21-0 before the fire salamanders put any points on the board. Look for New York to compete in most of their games this season especially with Howitzer at the helm. As for Berlin this game just reinforced my opinion that they to start over at QB in overhaul their offense. There only bright spots are runningbacks King and Petrongolo and wide receiver Dre Matthews. They have a talented defense but not enough to carry the team. Look for Berlin to have constant struggles.
Notable Players:
NY:
Sam Howitzer-QB-299 Yds, 3 TDs, 0 INTs
Bob Roberts-S-4 Tcks, 1 FF
BER:
Dre Matthews-WR-6 Cat, 116 Yds
Benoit Blanco-S-12 Tcks, 1 PD
POTG:
Although they were down 21-7 at the time, the Fire Salamanders could feel the momentum shifting, after a 55 yard reception to Dre Matthews. But on the subsequent pass to Matthews, Safety Bob Roberts forced the ball free, halting Berlin in their tracks.
Team Reactions:
Dewalt:
I think that we had a dissapointing start. We expected to come out and snag a win in New York but they're a great team and have improved a lot. We've got several changes planned that we know will improved the team and we should take another step forward. Kapercolin also was much improved seeming to have limit a lot of the turn overs. Joefish was still rough lol
Bwestfield:
Week 1 vs Berlin was huge for us. Last year we lost to Berlin week 1 at home. So this was a big revenge game for us and to show the league we're getting better. I think building a cohesive group of players is key and I think we're doing that here in NY
LIBERTY @ WRAITHS
Winner: Wraiths-41-16
Summary:
Finally we have the Liberty at the Wraiths, a game most expected the Wraiths to win though not quite by the margin that they did. Although Philadelphia isn't the strongest competition a lopsided score like this speaks well of yellowknife, at least at home. Expectations for Philadelphia are not high and this score does little to assuage those expectations. Yellowknife may get a bump in their stocks this week but it will be interesting to see them on the road next week even if their competition doesn't get much stronger. Colby Jack played well, but the real star of the game was the ground game, scoring 4 of Yellowknife’s 6 touchdowns.
Notable Players:
YKW:
Colby Jack-QB-262 Yds, 2 TDs, 0 Ints
Mach Arienlacher-LB-7 Tcks, 2 PDs, 1 INT
PHI:
Flash Panda-WR-6 Cat, 120 Yds, 2 TDs
Jimi Desoto-LB-14 Tcks, 2 Scks, 2 PDs
POTG:
In a match that ended up so lopsided, it’s important to see where the floodgates opened. In the case of this game, it came only 3 ½ minutes in, with Colby Jack hit Kai Sakura on a streak route, who preceded to dragging CB Doy Fieri 45 yards into the end zone for the Wraiths 1st TD of many.
Team Reactions:
Pat:
Week one was a tough loss against a good team in Yellowknife. We may not have liked the final score but I believe we had a lot to look forward to after that game, especially our young star Linebacker, Jimi DeSoto racking up 12 tackles and 2 sacks.
I couldn't be more proud of my team for hanging in there and giving it their all. We've got a very young defense (5 rookie starters) that we believe will grow and gel throughout the season.
FlyEaglesFly:
We certainly aren't going to overreact given that Philly is currently going through a rebuild, but it was an early division win and we are proud of it! Our team continuing to earn TPE at an awesome rate is showing and I think will continue to show throughout this season. Watching Kai Sakura take an 11 yard catch over 50 yards while dragging defenders is prove of that. Seeing Zee Rechs lead the league in receptions this week is another example as well. We are moving in the right direction!
OPOW:
Jay Cue-QB-383 Yds, 3 TDs, 0 INTs

PleaseEndMeNow:
FlyEaglesFly:
Well we are heading to Baltimore which is a place that has been hit or miss for us throughout the last few seasons. Both teams are trending in the right direction in my opinion even considering their recent performance against Chicago. Folks are going to get a treat with two of the best WRs squaring off against one another. We are looking forward to the possibility of taking an early 2-0 lead in the division if we can make it out of there with a win!
YETI @ BUTCHERS
Winner: Yeti
Team Predictions:
Syl/TVC:
The team is already hard at work preparing for our game against the Butchers. Going to Chicago is never easy, but if the big brains upstairs are doing their jobs right, this is a must win game. We're treating it as such
Bayley:
"More of the same. We need to absolutely play better than we did against the Hawks. That kind of performance won't cut it. We are home, this is a chance to really show them what we are made of. We have struggled against them. This is about redemption from what they did to us in the playoffs. They looked really good against the Sailfish as well. Caliban looked good, I think they are really going to be a tough team to beat. I think we have to play better. I can promise you that we will be ready. We will absolutely be ready."
LIBERTY @ SECONDLINE
Winner: Secondline
Team Predictions:
Directors Cut:
Feel pretty good about it. The Liberty are a pass happy team which plays right into our defenses strength.
Pat:
New Orleans is a very strong squad on both sides of the ball. We will have our work cut out for us, but I have faith our guys can give them a fight.
OUTLAWS @ SILVERBACKS
Winner: Silverbacks
Team Predictions:
BWestfield:
Looking forward to another great team to play and we will be working hard on getting another win
Crunk:
I think they’re a team that people were sleeping on a bit before the season. Road games are always tough, and we won’t be underestimating them.
SABERCATS @ OTTERS
Winner: Otters
Team Predictions:
Jeffie:
Well on paper I think we definitely have the advantage but obviously the Sabercats know a thing or two about upsets on the road so we just gotta focus on being the best team we can be to put them away
CKRoyal:
The Otters are always a tough matchup, especially on their home turf, but anything can happen in a rivalry game.
FIRE SALAMANDERS @ SAILFISH
Winner: Sailfish
Team Predictions:
Frost:
Ez win
Dewalt:
Frost sucks Lmap
It sucks playing back to back games on the road. Frost is an excellent GM and for some reason they always have great special teams. They do have a Young QB and I think we've got a good defense that should help us. We'll try to get Joe more involved and get the offense going.

EPISODE THREE
Week Two Results:
HAHALUA(0-2) @ COPPERHEADS(1-1)
Winner: Copperheads 34-30
Summary:
We can call this one the "easton cole damn near blew it game" 2 interceptions is bad enough on its own, but even worse is that both set up the Hahalua inside the red zone, giving them a lead the Copperheads would only take back with less than a minute to go. The only reason copperheads fans are not cursing his name right now is because of that last drive. But regardless they did manage to pull it off and that is worth something Despite their struggles in the turnover department of the copperhead still managed to rack up over 450 yards of offense at scored 4 touchdowns. Honalulu are doubtless happy that managed almost steal this game but the fact that they gave up the game winning touchdown with less then a minute ago is going to sting
Notable Players:
AUS:
Zoe Watts-RB-86 Yds, 3.9 YPC, 2 TDs
Griffin Porter-LB-4 Tcks, 1 Sck, 1 PD
HAN:
Luke Skywalker-QB-265 Yds, 3 TDs, 0 INTs
Ray-Ray Jackson-CB-6 Tcks, 4 PDs, 1 INT
POTG:
With 1:14 left on the clock in the 4th, the Copperheads finished their game winning drive with an 8 yard strike to Frederick Vequan to take a 34-30 lead.
Team Reactions:
Amidships:

Gucci:
I’m not in a good mood tonight but at least we weren’t 72% favorites tonight
WRAITHS(2-0) @ HAWKS(0-2)
Winner: Wraiths 14-7
Summary:
So the Wraiths managed to pull it off. A 14-7 win on the road in Baltimore. Well they sure managed to prove me wrong. I will try not to make the same mistake again. Holding the home team, any home team only 7 points shutting them out for 3 quarters is an impressive feat and deserves notice. They'll have to do it all over again next week against the copperheads before going home to face Yeti so their season doesn't get any easier. We will see what is their team is truly made of. As for Baltimore an 0-2 start is truly crushing especially coming off of a home game they were expected to win. They are 0-2 for a reason however, they struggle in all 3 phases of the game, and while they have individual talent, it has yet to gell into a cohesive squad capable of putting together 60 minutes. Expect more performances similar to this one in the coming weeks
Notable Players:
BAL:
Joshua Campbell-WR-6 Cat, 60 Yds, 1 TD
Ben Stackinpaper-LB-13 Tcks, 1 TFL
YKW:
Jamison Vermilian-RB-48 Yds, 4 YPC, 1 TD
James Cho-DE-4 Tcks, 3 TFLs
POTG:
With 1:01 left in the 3rd quarter down 7-3, Safety Johnny Helzapoppin intercepted a Fujiwara pass and set the YKW up for a FG to give them their 2nd of 3 scores in the game.
Team Reactions:
PleaseEndMeNow:
Offense needs to get it going. Defense keeps doing what it’s needing to do but our offense, specifically the QB needs to get it going
FlyEaglesFly:
Man what a game! And what a performance by our defense! Johnny Hellzapoppin had a clutch interception and Douglas Quaid put the nail in the coffin with a huge sack there at the end of the game. Super proud of the way the defense played and most importantly, we are 2-0 in our division! Guess its time we move up those power rankings a little?
YETI(1-1) @ BUTCHERS(2-0)
Winner: Butchers 20-3
Summary:
“Death by 1000 paper cuts” is an apt descriptor for this game. The Butchers just. Kept. Driving, 4 to 5 yards at a time. While the Yeti defense did well for the most part, in the end no matter how much the offense struggles, 20 points is simply too many. As for that offense, 3 points is both depressing and maddening. They had plenty of opportunities to score with some great field position, but the run game struggled and the pass game did no better, and the Yeti were forced to kick punt, after punt, after punt. The positive is that their schedule lightens up considerably after this, with a home game vs the Hawks, then gets somewhat tougher with a road trip to Yellowknife. Expect at least a 1-1 record going into the weekend. As for Chicago, this game is a very strong sign of things to come. A big win will give them an early advantage in the standings over the coming weeks. The big strengths are clearly shaping up to be the run game and defense, so in other words, playoff football.
Notable Players:
COL:
William Lim-WR-4 Cat, 94 Yds
Adelie De Pengu-LB-8 Tcks, 1 TFL, 1 FF, 1 FR
CHI:
Tirt-RB-91 Yds, 4.1 YPC, 1 TD
Juan Domine-LB-5 Tcks, 3 Scks
POTG:
With 12:47 left in the 4th the Butchers were driving up 7 needing only one score to take a seemingly insurmountable lead. George O’Donnel delivered a strike to Luca Scabbia to put Chicago up 17-3.
Team Reactions:
Syl/TVC:
Yeah tough game today, but we always knew that would be the case. We trained hard for this game - very hard. But really it just came down to execution. They executed better than we did. I think we were 1/14 on third down. You dont win a ton of games with numbers like that. Ultimately, it was our play on second down that got us in that hole Today was a learning game for Caliban. He played well I think. Just hung on to the ball a couple seconds too long. And thats really all it takes at this level. In the DSFL, everyone is slower, from the edge rusher to the blitzing linebacker. Props to Domine, he was absolutely dialed in tonight. But yeah, things just moved really quickly today, and I think Caliban learned a lot tonight. I hope he did. Not a ton of QBs survive getting hit 7+ times a game. Defensively we played as well as we had practiced. We kept them off the board as long as we could, and had we better field position I think it wouldve been a closer game but that all comes down to execution as a team. We win and lose as a team and thats what I really pressed on the team after the game
Tough game, Chicago projects to be one of the toughest teams in our conference, so going on the road to them is always going to be a battle. I thought our defense played extremely well throughout, and offensively we shot ourselves in the foot by giving up too many sacks and penalties. Hopefully in the coming weeks, we can work the penalty issues out, and continue to ease Greedy Sly into his transition to offensive line.
Bayley:
LIBERTY(1-1) @ SECONDLINE(1-1)
Winner: Liberty 20-15
Summary:
Unacceptable. If I were more of a reactionary I’d put NOLA at 35 in my power rankings, but I’m not, so I won’t. Regardless, a team with playoff aspirations shouldn’t even be competing at home against Philly, much less losing to them. What matters now is how NOLA responds. A loss like this can destroy a team mentally and emotionally, if the Second Line struggle over the weekend, this game will be the start of the end of their season. If however, they bounce back, this game can be considered nothing more than a random occurrence, the trap game some teams fall into every year. It all depends how they respond. With Philly, this is certainly an impressive win, and one that deserves recognition, but I don’t think I’m remiss in saying that for them, this is more fluke than fact. I’d expect them to win 1 game at most over the weekend.
Notable Players:
NOLA:
Austin McCormick-TE-5 Cat, 43 Yds, 1 TD
Busch Light-LB-7 Tcks, 1 FF, 1 FR
PHI:

OUTLAWS(0-2) @ SILVERBACKS(2-0)
Winner: Silverbacks 30-21
Summary:
The Silverbacks are playing extremely well, even better than I had envisioned. And I was one of there bigger cheerleaders over the offseason. Ashley Owens remains an extremely reliable short-yardage back, and their defense is very turnover-centric, even if they might allow more points than you’re comfortable with. They might struggle on the road, but I foresee New York becoming one of the scarier home stands in the next few years. We will definitely see the Howitzer trade as one of the best moves in Bwestfields career as New York GM. Arizona, conversely, remains one of the bigger disappointments again this year. With 16 games on the schedule, 0-2 is not a death sentence, but losing a home game after putting up 42 points, and now dropping a game to an expansion team, is not a very good sign for the Outlaws. They find themselves at a crossroads this upcoming double-header. If they can manage to defend their house against NOLA, and steal a win in San Jose, they can be forgiven for this slow start, but I think at this point it’s fair to say that their loss of some of their biggest talent in Evans and Kehla has been killer so far.
Notable Players:
NY:
Ashley Owens-RB-67 Yds, 4.2 YPC, 2 TDs
Duckburg QuakStak-CB-5 Tcks, 1 FF, 1 FR, 2 PDs
ARI:
Gunner Thorbjornsen-RB-74 Yds, 4.9 YPC, 1 TD
D.B Jadakiss-S-6 Tcks, 1 PD, 1 INT
POTG:
With 11:47 left on the clock in the 2nd, the Outlaws had a 14-10 lead. Jay Cue made a huge 27-yard rush, but fumbled at the end, and it was recovered by the Silverbacks, and momentum was stalled.
Team Reactions:
BWestfield:
Week 2 vs Arizona was a bit closer than the last. I think we weren't able to get as much going offensively but we were able to put together a solid overall game. I'm very excited to be 2-0. This is going much better than last season early on an we hope to continue the trend. The locker room is enjoy the moment and having a lot of celebration
Crunk:
We know this Outlaws team is better than it was last season, despite some big losses in free agency. We’re looking to prove it these next two weeks.
SABERCATS(1-1) @ OTTERS(2-0)
Game Of The Week
Winner: Otters 34-21
Summary:
For most of the 1st quarter, this game felt like the last 2 conference championships. I’m sure we all thought it “Here we go again, for some reason OCO just can’t beat SJS at home” But then, suddenly, it was like the entire Otters sideline stood up and said “no”. Suddenly they were putting points on the board , and their defense acted like they just heard Will Patton growl “not another yard!”. 34 unanswered points later, OCO stands at 2-0 on the season looking stronger than ever with Ramza at QB. While some may choose to focus on them being down 21-0, I choose to focus on the comeback. OCO faces a much weaker slate of games in the upcoming weeks, on the road in Honolulu and them at home vs the Copperheads. I’d put money on them coming out of this stretch 4-0 and early Ultimus favorites. For SJS, they need to make sure they don’t develop “falcons syndrome” they nearly blew their lead late vs Honolulu last week, and this week they melted down before the end of the 1st quarter, they can be forgiven for both, both weeks have been on the road, and one was vs the Otters for christs sake. Next weeks game vs the Silverbacks will be a good bellwether for this SJS squad. If they play well in their home opener, we can forgive losing to a top-tier team, but if they drop this game, alarm bells may start ringing.
Notable Players:
OCO:
Suleman Ramza-QB-249 Yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
Joseph Joestaar-LB-10 Tcks, 1 Sck
SJS:
Monterey Jack-QB-257 Yds, 3 Tds, 1 INT
Philip Stein-S-4 Tcks, 1 PD, 1 INT
POTG:
Though they were technically still down at the time With 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter the Otters had the game firmly in their control. When Mont. Jack was attempting to drive the Sabercats down the field to take back some momentum, he threw a pick directly to Prince Vegeta, and the Otters took the lead on the following drive.
Team Reactions:
Jeffie:
Yeah I'm really happy with the way the team rallied to come back from down 21-3, it's a great feeling. Not to mention everyone did well on an individual level too
CKRoyal:
Sim gonna sim. We got off to a fast start, but credit the Otters for sticking to their gameplan. We need to be better about playing a full 60 moving forward, it's that simple.
FIRE SALAMANDERS(0-2) @ SAILFISH(1-1)
Winner: Sailfish 43-10
Summary:
Once again we end the week on a blowout, and the poor Fire Salamanders are once again on the receiving end. I feel like they need to be given a bit more leeway, as the Silverbacks recent success may paint an unfavorable picture as to where expansion teams should be one year into existence. Unfortunately for Berlin, their schedule doesn’t get any easier next week, hosting the dominant Butchers. Their struggle to score and stop the run is a perfect recipe for the 3rd blowout of the season. As I said last week, I dont think the current makeup of their offense is good enough to win in the big leagues. The score is slightly misleading, as they only scored their 10 points deep into garbage time. The Sailfish aren’t going to find much accolade in beating up on expansion teams, but games on the road vs the Liberty and at home vs the Butchers will make for a much better way of seeing just how good this team is. I would like to see Mike Boss Jr get more involved in the offense but 2 weeks is hardly enough to evaluate a rookie QB.
Notable Players:
SAR:
Raphtalia Chan-RB-72 Yds, 4 YPC, 2 TDs
Entire Defense
BER:
Joseph Petrongolo-RB-55 Yds, 4.6 YPC, 3 cat, 49 Yds, 1 TD
Hingle McCringleberry-LB-7 Tcks, 1 Sck, 1 FF, 1 FR, 4 PDs
POTG:
Similar to the Liberty-Wraiths game last week, we will again be looking at a play made early on, that led to the game being so lopsided. In this case, Safety Teddy Utterstruzen picked off Nick Kaepercolin at exactly 10:00 in the second, and returned it down inside the five.

well Baltimore is a strong team. I think a lot of the league sleeps on them, but Chikas one of the better QBs in the league at this point, and this could be the season he puts the league on notice. Week 4 we get a chance to take one of the best teams in the league with Colorado coming to town...it's kinda funny that we tend to beat one another at home in recent years. This year I'm hopeful that we can beat them at both locations! If there is a time to gain some ground it has to begin this season with their young QB in my opinion.
Syl/TVC:
After that its a trip to the frigid North. Not looking forward to that, but it comes every year. Honestly was hoping this game came a little further down the line, but it is what it is. The Wraiths are headhunting for their crown back, so they're going to come out with a lot of heat. They've got talented keys on offense that will really push our defense through their paces. Now that we've lost against Chicago, the pundits have labelled this another must-win game. With how long the season is, I don't know if I would label it must win, but I certainly agree this game will mean a lot.
Yellowknife on the road, on paper is the type of game we need to win in order to put us in a good position for a playoff push this season. That said, Colby is really coming into his own, and offensively they have a lot of talent. Defensively their secondary is young so thats an area of the field we can look to punish, but their front 7 is impressive, and we'll need to keep an eye on that during our game planning throughout the week. Finally. They have PMoney.... and PMoney is Bae.

EPISODE TWO
Week One Results:

HON:

Heinrich Kackpoo-LB-10 Tcks, 1 TFL, 1 Sck

Team Reactions:

PHI:
Brock Phoenix-QB-251 Yds, 1 TD, 1 INT, 1 Rush TD
Tex Wrecks-DE-4 Tcks, 3 TFLs, 1 Sck
POTG:
With 8:09 left in the 2nd the Liberty and Second Line were locked in a tight 10-3 battle, when NOLA blew their coverage and allowed a 59 yard Killian Chambers TD.
Team Reactions:
Directors Cut:
Sim is gonna sim. Offense struggled and defense gave up a wide open 60 yard pass. I'm ready to move onto ddspf21 so I can be mad at a new sim instead of this old piece of shit.

That said, I'll be curious to see how our defense stacks up to what was a high flying offense last season.
