Now some of you may be wondering “why would you write an article on why teams shouldn’t draft you?”. Well to be honest I have no idea myself. Just wanted to write a media to make some money and we’ll this seemed like a fun one that I haven’t seen done before, but then again I don’t read media often so this could have been done a million times and I wouldn’t know. Anyways let’s get started.
The biggest and main reason you guys shouldn’t draft me is probably one that all the GMs are thinking about. I went IA with my last player very early in his career. This is a huge red flag and who’s to say that I won’t do the exact same thing? To be honest even I don’t know if down the line I may go IA again but I do know for sure it won’t be for the same reason I did last time. My last go around I really tried to do too much too quickly and burnt myself out where honestly instead of the league being a fun hobby or pastime it became more of a chore. I was a wiki grader, an updater and in two war rooms while being a max earner. Some people may be able to do this much and enjoy it but at the time it was too much for me. This time around I plan on taking it much easier and enjoying the process and just having fun with it. Now this brings me to my second reason.
You will not be getting a max earner like you would have with my first player. I have already missed a few point tasks in this first season and I can tell you it will not be the only ones I miss through my career. As stated in the other paragraph I plan on taking it much easier than last time and well this means that I basically am gonna do point tasks when I feel like it. Some tasks may not appeal to me so I just plain won’t do them. This isn’t to say that I won’t do any tasks as I don’t want my player to just be a huge dud and a burden on my team. Just that I may be lazy and don’t want to do them at the time. Awesome segue about being lazy to my next reason.
Well the next reason is I won’t do very much media and graphics. Don’t let me writing this media and the couple graphics I did this season fool you. I don’t plan on doing much media or graphics as it takes quite a bit of time and well I am too lazy to put that time and effort into writing and graphics. Some times (like right now) I may get a random spark and feel like actually doing something but this is not often. Without that spark I definitely will not force myself into doing these things just to make a bit of money for the league. Now that we’re on the topic of money why don’t I move onto my next reason.
Even though I am not a max earner I will not be willing to take a min contract and if I don’t get as much money as I would get from the DSFL I will be asking to stay down in the DSFL til I get a contract that is worth more money. Since I don’t do much media and graphics a min contract will not be enough to support the weekly trainings I do throughout the season and the odd equipment I may purchase. Basically this means whatever money I get from my contract is directly correlated to the amount of TPE I will be earning from training and equipment. If you don’t pay me well, then don’t expect me to be earning much TPE. As I am not planning to be a max earner I will not be phased by the lack of training being purchased. I don’t have a good segue to the next topic.
Well my next reason is that I have no idea which position I actually want to play and at nearly any moment I could be asking to make a switch. Especially with the new sim and all the shiny new talents and new stats being added to the game. Plus the mystery of what is actually good and which builds are garbage makes it all the more confusing. I haven’t been having much fun at CB in the old sim so I was planning on switching back to RB but with the new sim and the added new stats maybe CB will be fun. But then again RB and WR have some cool talents I may want so I might still make the switch. Who knows what I may do, I’m basically a ticking time bomb that could want to switch at any time.
The last reason that at least I can think of is well maybe your team doesn’t need me. There are teams who don’t need whatever position I plan on actually being. Well I don’t have much else to say in this topic as well it depends on your teams needs and I’m too lazy to actually look them up.
This concludes the reasons on why you should not draft me. If you can get past all this and do end up drafting me then well thank you and I will enjoy my time with you for as long as it may last. If you can think of any other reason why I shouldn’t be drafted then feel free to berate me and post them down below. This ends my Ted Talk. (except for the TLDR below)
TLDR:
I went IA, I’m not a max earner, I don’t do much media/graphics, I want a good contract for myself, No clue which position I wanna play, Your team doesn’t need me.
