If you know me, you know I love draft time. It is continually one of my favourite times of the season, and really just gets me excited for the respective leagues in general! In a tradition that started with the Kraken (and in reality, even farther back than I've been in sim leagues for, if we include sve7en's hype posts for Kraken rookies), to just get some names out there, I bring some fresh prospect reports for your indulgence, with a football twist.
While it feels a little bit weird posting this when the draft is.. well, already well over, we'll pretend it is in preparation for the presentation we are about to have.

I've tried to keep the actual reports about their players, rather than the users. General Managers don't draft players, they draft people, but I like the player background side of the league, and will continually feed to it, so here we go.
Here is my first Portland Pythons Prospect Report article, hope you enjoy a quick browse.

Lawrence Miller has had an easy, yet difficult road to where he is right now. He's always done well wherever he has gone, but the reasoning as to why he is here in the first place is unconventional, and may I say it, lucky. Whichever team gets this player gets a hard worker, but more importantly, a determined player, one that does not really give up. As far as what he does on the field, he is consistently one of the fastest guys on the field. He gets places fast, he can track players down, and he can take them down. He is able to be in the right place at the right time, being one of the few rookies reaching the three interception milestone those season. Miller is able to be a bully in backfield, and doesn't really shy down from anything. He has got a ton of potential, but I suppose there is always risk with those types.

Chiasa is another cornerback that was brought into the Pythons last draft, and like Miller, had a pretty good season. He is a quiet but known presence, and is quite the hard worker too. Hailing from UCLA, he has been, and will continue to be a successful player, and should be a nice surprise to the league. Compared to Miller, he is just as fast, but has even better hands which really just makes him more of a threat in the secondary, able to make that pick on a moments notice, and turn it right back around. He is a very well-rounded player, with no real noticeable weaknesses.

Morrison was quite the popular player as far as recruitment went earlier in his career, and that carried into the DSFL, and now the ISFL Drafts. He is a proven, steady, and reliable player and was one of the anchors on the Pythons powerful defense this past season. His drive and understanding of the game allows him to make the plays he wants to make, and lets him be a flexible player. This was shown on the Pythons this season, as he played most of the games in a Defensive End role, rather than the Linebacker role he usually undertook. Either way, Morrison gets the tackles, and can shut offenses down on his own, as shown by being one of few players to reach the 100 tackle milestone, the only rookie to do so. A must draft player right here, ladies and gentlemen.

Fox is another one of those quiet guys, and while he didn't necessarily have an incredible season according to the stats, he sure as hell made it easy on his teammates. Carter Fox is known to be a team-first guy, and will continue to be one. He'll be a reliable guy on the line, but it might take a little while for him to break into the ISFL. If that risk is able to be taken, I think Fox is a great player to have.

Bianchi ended up with a little less than half of the total team touches given to both himself and Christiansen, but made good on most of those touches. He was a great option the Pythons could use for the entire season, and has a good future ahead of him. He's incredibly fast, which allows him to get past opponents with ease, since he isn't necessarily a ground and pound type of running back. He did have an incredible 11.7 average for receiving however, and despite only having one touchdown through that type of play, made it a threat worth considering for the defense. He should continue to play well, and be a good player for whoever takes him.

York will always be a little underrated due to his position, but man can he show up in the clutch moments. He had been a great kicker for the Pythons all season, even winning a game with a field goal. His punts all season seemed to be incredible, with a high average, and an insane long punt of 66 yards, in his rookie season. He's a great person in general, and exactly the type of person you would want if a team finds themselves in need of a kicker.
