S28 Class DSFL Mock Draft by Titansfan/XTitanXMVPX
Before starting this mock draft, I understand that these choices might be far off due to my lack of knowledge to who are friends, connected via GM/Scouting relationships, and to what players might be call up/send down players. With that in mind, I am making these selections based on positional need, activity level, and socialization in discord. Thank you in advance for taking a look at it!
Round 1
1. KCC
Busch Goose (RB): KC would go with a solid recreate user here in Infinitempg. With Xander Creed just getting drafted by the Liberty, this pick makes a lot of sense on all levels.
2. TIJ
Manhatten Project (DE): Another user that seems on good terms with quite a few organizations and a solid player that has been earning at top levels. Tijuana can’t really go wrong with a strong defensive pick here and this could likely be multiple different people as there are ALOT of active defensive members in this draft.
3. MIN
Jacob Raske (QB): This is a shot in the dark as Minnesota could go with a defensive player here as well, but as a recreate member, CLG Rampage seems to have a good reputation for creating really solid players. The Grey Ducks can win with quite a few picks in this spot and I look forward to them making me look utterly stupid with a completely different pick here.
4. DAL
IsHe...ReallyInvisible (QB): Another pick here that is aimed at the user primarily instead of the player itself. JPach is obviously a huge contributor to the community here and that fact alone could easily push him anywhere here in the first 5 picks of the draft.
5. NOR
Bayley Cowabunga (WR): Another example of a quality member who could land anywhere in these top picks. Norfolk could use another great wide receiver here, but I’m sure JKortesi is mercurial enough to change positions if needed and is another great member of the community.
6. LON
Prof. Godfrey Gravity (DT): z0rem has dominated early games through the prospect bowl and seems to know how to build a dominating defensive lineman. Not sure if he is a recreate or just familiar with the system, but even with him being quiet in Discord it seems that his earning shows he’s active and willing to contribute.
7. POR
Amy Wong (CB): With picks primarily focused on the member and not the player so much here, another recreate goes off the board in Pazuzu. The Pythons could use a new secondary member here as they had some quality members depart in the ISFL draft.
8. BBB
Dexter Zaylren (QB): As with the rest of the first round, experience trumps here and the Buccaneers go for Dexter Zaylren in this spot. A recreate user who knows how to create quality players, Laser seems a lock to finish off the first round (or go sooner). I have heard that there is a connection here more than just being a community contributor and attractive recreate, so there’s something to be said for that.
Round 2
2-1 KCC
Luke Quick (WR): Filling a position of need and being a recreate user, BigRed1580 would be a great pick for KC here. With performances of above average quality and activity on the discord, this pick seems like a great round 2 opener.
2-2 TIJ
Dexter Hall (LB): One of the first new users off the board here, FirstFray seems a great fit for the defense wanting Tijuana team here. FirstFray has been contributing great media to the forums and has shown he wants to be very active in the league. I believe this makes him a great fit to be the first newcomer off the board in the 2nd.
2-3 MIN
Rudy Gray (OL): Magnet has been another great new contributor to the league and their activity on the discord channels cannot be denied. They look to be a great addition to any team, but I think Minnie pulls the trigger on their first newcomer here with the strong showing offensive lineman.
2-4 DAL
Henny Tingzpahcool (CB): One of the last recreates left, soryantyler seems a good fit in this spot for Dallas. Although there are quite a few solid picks here to be made (and one could argue for the red hot Willie MIller here) I think Dallas sticks with a known commodity and snags Henny here.
2-5 NOR
Tom Adamo (RB): More offense and another recreate, Norfolk could really load up on known personalities here with Roastfuego. Norfolk bolsters the offensive side of their team (or these players could switch positions) with WR then RB users in this draft.
2-6 LON
Sam the Onion (WR): Dulio05 is a great user for the locker rooms he has been in and being a recreate he offers knowledge to creating a quality player. At wide receiver he helps London here, but I could see him swapping positions as well. Really a win-win pick at this spot.
2-7 POR
Remus Romulus/Roman Romulus (S): This pick could go either way here as both players are very active and offer the ability to switch positions. The Pythons do need some secondary help and doubling up in the first rounds of this draft seems to be a good move. However, as I said, these players could swap positions as they are first year users in Vaelynn and Amulos.
2-8 BBB
Juno Hu (CB): j00 has been very active in earning and on discord the last couple weeks and I see them as being a strong pick here at the end of the 2nd round. One of the top earners so far of this class, j00 seems to want to contribute and produce quality play. This is a solid pick for the Buccaneers here and think they can’t lose with it although they could go acouple other directions if they know they have recreate users willing to position swap.
Round 3
3-1 KCC
Raeni Clarke (QB): Obviously Bex is a very big part of the community and knows how to do everything there is to do in the league. At this position this pick makes alot of sense in the 3rd round, but positional swapping could happen as well. WHOKNOWS!!!
3-2 TIJ
Red Arrow Jr. (QB): The last of the recreates Ihad on my list, RedArrow12 seems to round out the 3 round plan for Tijuana here. The Luchadores at this point would be set with a trio of very quality players along with solid users to add to their locker room.
3-3 MIN
Brandon Prince (RB): Although statistically, Prince has struggled in the prospect bowl his user has been very active in discord and in earning. I could see this being a steal here in the third round for Minnie as activity and effort goes a long ways towards success.
3-4 DAL
Aleksandr Vasiliev (RB): This player seems to have a good amount of earned TPE and seems to know how to produce a quality player. I see this as a great pick for Dallas here in the third round. I don’t know a lot about aimbot’s discord activity, but I’d assume they’re relatively active.
3-5 NOR
Erik Gaare (QB): This user has been very active in the discord and is obviously on the right path of earning week in and week out. Prospect Bowl stats aside, Maupassant seems to be a very good user who could offer great value here for Norfolk. I also think Norfolk could go defensively here, but it’d be a toss up with the users that are left.
3-6 LON
Anton Buckner (OL): Gragg9 is a very active user and has put a lot of effort towards media and other things. They speak up a good amount on the discord and they have a solid player in Anton Buckner. This is a great pick at this position for London.
3-7 POR
The Other Romulus (S): If still available, Portland would take the other of the twins here. The fact that both these users are willing to swap positions and have been incredibly active in learning the league, earning, and putting out content only means that they would be great additions to the team locker room and sim.
3-8 BBB
Brooke Bane (LB): JHatty8 brings an incredible skill at creating graphics and is also very active in the discord and on the forums. This is an ABSOLUTE steal pick here if he still remains. BBB would be ecstatic to have this available and its a perfect end to the 3rd round with another BBB robbery.
I left some players deserving off this mock, but not on purpose. There are a TON of active users this draft and I think this entire mock will be wrong so….
With that being said, I look forward to see how this draft pans out and how teams value people. Being my first year in this league, I obviously have no expertise in the people or the history here but I hope my best is good enough for you filthy animals! I’m hoping I go in the first three rounds as Xavier Walls (LB), but who knows how that’ll go.
Best of luck to all the prospects and may the odds ever be in your favor!
