XTitanXMVPX’s DSFL Draft Review
*This article is written in the most unbiased and professional manner I can manage. You are free to disagree with my grading and rankings, but remember I’m new, don’t know shit, and could give a whopping two lousy f***s. With that in mind, let’s jump in!*
Kansas City Coyotes
Draft Grade: A
The Coyotes really snatched up a lot of talent in the beginning of this draft and they needed to. Kansas City had a lot of holes in their roster and their front office expertly weaved their way through the first handful of rounds selecting highly active, quality stars to do so.
R1: Luke Quick (BigRed1580) - BigRed is obviously a big member of the community and has contributed a lot in the eyes of the Kansas City front office. This first pick could have gone quite a few different ways, but Kansas City goes with a safe pick here and fills a need at wide receiver with a very active user. While some may say that other offensive talent might be higher overall value here the Coyotes seem to think Luke Quick is the second coming of jesus. Good pick!
R2: Dexter Hall (FirstFray) - A media star coming into draft night, FirstFray really put together solid contributions in his analysis of the prospect bowl games. His player, Dexter Hall, although not the most talented linebacker in the draft (it was actually me) had a great prospect bowl. One of three very talented Wisconsin linebackers selected early in this draft, FirstFray will bring a high earning, active presence to the Coyote locker room. The Coyotes fill another need with their first set of picks here. Good pick!
R3: Prof. Godfrey Gravity (z0rem) - This is one of the steals of the draft and honestly the Coyotes had a couple of them (the other being Busch Goose at the backend of the draft). User z0rem has been active in the locker rooms, his player has performed well in prospect bowl games, and he brings sim league experience to the table. I was shocked he fell this far and frankly, this might be the Coyote’s best valued pick of the draft! AMAZING PICK!
Tijuana Luchadores
Draft Grade: F, muthafugging Tonzy….I’m kidding A-
R1: They picked somebody here in this position, but I never actually saw the pick (laugh at the joke!). IsHe...ReallyInvisible being taken 2nd overall is no shocker here and user JPach does things. He’s good I guess...kidding, JPach does a great amount for the community, is obviously active in the Discord, and has plenty of experience to kill it for the Luchadores. This was an easy pick for them as the talent and added benefits of the user really put it over the top. Great pick!
R2: Jung Ho (J00) - A new user to me, I hadn’t known much about J00 as he had joined the prospect list a little later. Obviously showing something to the scouts and GM’s at Tijuana, J00 earned his position here in round 2. I wish I could say more about the user, but honestly this pick was a little bit of a shock to me with so many other users being very active and earning more in my opinion. So-So pick.
R3: Romulus Roman (Amulos) - Obviously this is their worst pick and Tonzy is fully to blame. Romulus was destined to go to Portland but Tonzy cheated somehow and got a member of the Superfriends Team. But honestly, this is a great pick with a new user who has been extremely active in both earning and media. This pick is likely going to turn out to be one of the boom picks throughout their draft. AMAZINGPICK!
Minnesota Grey Ducks
Draft Grade: A
R1: Anton Buckner (Gragg9) - A very active user both in media and earning, Gragg9 really earned his spot here in the draft. This was a very safe pick for the Grey Ducks and I don’t think they made a bad decision filling out their OL with their first pick. Gragg9 will be a high earner and continue to be active as the league goes on so kudos to Minnie on this pick. Great Pick!
R2: Andrew Warthol (Skorch) - Another new user who was active in the discord and earned really well leading up to the draft. Minnie missed out on linebacker Xavier Walls so they had to take another talented (but less so) defensive star with their round 2 pick. (I’m mostly just prodding at Crody here. :p) Joking aside, Skorch will be a stalwart addition to the defensive unit of the Grey Ducks as their career continues. Great Pick!
R3: Brooks Bane (JHatty8) - This is an incredible value of a pick right here. JHatty8 has an incredible knack for graphics and has also been active in the discord. With him still being here at round three the Grey Ducks couldn’t be happier to get not only someone who will be a quality player and fill a need, but also someone who offers community based efforts. AMAZINGPICK!
Dallas Birddogs
Draft Grade: A-
R1: Chunt the Badger (UltimateYeeHaw) - Another user I don’t know much about right off the top of my head, but the Birddogs seemed to love what they were seeing and hearing from good ol’ YeeHaw. There’s apparently some very good media from YeeHaw out there as well which gives even more value to the pick here. The Birddogs ultimately fill a need here with an above average user. Good pick!
R2: Bayley Cowabunga (JKortesi81) - A great locker room presence and a high quality user going in round two. The Birddogs really made a mad grab at wide receivers in their first couple picks and they definitely got two of the better performing stars of the prospect bowl. They look like they’ll be poised to be a one-two receiving punch for atleast the next couple of years. Great Pick!
R3: Erik Gaare (Maupassant) - Very active in the discord and putting out some media, Maupassant gets taken alongside two blazing wide receivers for the Birddogs. With offense on their minds, the Birddogs really tried to solidify a strong passing game in this draft. This pick should turn out well for the Birddogs as they have a quality player controlled by a quality user. Great pick!
Norfolk Seawolves
Draft Grade: A
R1: Raeni Clarke (Bex) - Going with the Commish in round 1 is a great way to suck up for sure. But kidding aside, Bex offers a ton of upside being very experienced with the league and obviously offers a lot as a locker room mentor for others. This pick was an easy one for Norfolk as they look to fill their need for a quarterback for the next couple years atleast. Great pick!
R2: Kelvin Harris (Astrophy058) - Astrophy has been very active on the discord along with kicking out media to earn before the draft. This is a solid pick here for the Seawolves and they obviously saw something in their interactions with Astrophy that wowed them taking him in round 2. Good pick!
R3: Archie Griffin (Archinity) - Another user I know little about and have not had many interactions with, Archinity takes over an empty Norfolk backfield. The Seawolves had a great time scouting Archinity and it seems like it’s a match made in heaven. Good pick!
London Royals
Draft Grade: B+
R1: Glenn Smart (PIB) - PIB has been very active and earned a great deal heading up to the draft, however, I think the Royals might have reached a bit here and could have taken a variety of versatile users and likely still gotten PIB later. There’s behind the scenes match making going on every day of the lead up to the draft process so PIB must have really made a great impression there to earn the round 1 grade. Good pick.
R2: Manhatten Project (Modern_Duke) - This is the pick I thought the Royals would make in round 1, but they seem to have a horseshoe up their ass as they got both players they wanted either way. Bolstering their defensive line and getting an awesome user as well, the Royals make up for their first pick here (luckily) and don’t lose out on a very talented user in Modern_Duke. AMAZING PICK!
R3: C.J. Sonjack (Ace) - Another defensive player here for London and it comes attached to a very active and high earning user. The Royals draft class ends up being very good and balanced and the only reason Igraded them the lowest was because of missed talent with the first round pick. I think they could have still gotten PIB even after this round as not many locker rooms were filled with PIB’s activity. (I just want to say PIBis a great user and the grade is solely based on visibility of him in other places from my point of view.) Great pick!
Portland Pythons
Draft Grade: A+
R1: Xavier Walls (xtitanxmvpx) - Knowing myself and knowing exactly what I’ve been doing and how active I’ve been, this is a homerun pick for the Pythons. Day in and day out, I’ve really pushed to max earn and shit out media to get that 2x money (look what I’m doing now). That trend will continue as Portland gets a user truly dedicated to the cause and willing to max earn each week. South and the Portland front office had great conversations with me and were constantly reaching out each and everyday to check in and see how things were going. AMAZING PICK!
R2: Remus Roman (Vaelynn) - Another great value pick here and player number 2 of the Superfriends collective (as we’re termed in the Python’s locker room). Vaelynn has put in a ton of work behind the scenes to max earn and be active with discord. Knowing Vaelynn personally, our group came into this expecting to be drafted to different teams and having to live vicariously through each other’s experiences, but here we are, two together already. This will be a great pick as Vaelynn offers versatility in positioning going into the Python’s season. AMAZING PICK!
R3: Gritt Gurdur (Miller) - Another of the Superfriends collective, Amulos being the fourth , Miller offers a hardnosed approach to making his player the best he can. Working diligently, Miller has really gone for the max earning status alongside the rest of us. The fact that South somehow pulled voodoo magic out of his ass to get three of us here is incredible and Ibelieve it will pay off big time this next season for the Pythons. AMAZING PICK!
*PS: If you think this is biased and you’re feeling hurt a little bit….well, it is so suck it! GO SNEKS!*
Bondi Beach Buccaneers
Draft Grade: A
R1: Dexter Zaylren (Laser) - A homerun pick here at the end of the first round, the Buccaneers get a great user who is active and earning at the top of the class. Laser offers a lot of experience here and fills a position that the Buccaneers need for the future. AMAZING PICK!
R2: Mongo (MachineEarnedRuns) - This pick is a lock for being safe and paying of in the future seasons to come. MachineEarnedRuns has a knack for graphics and media and has been earning at a high rate. The Buccaneers had a lot of needs going into this draft and Mongo really fills a need with a high quality user behind the wheel.
R3: Don Bradman (Hurles02) - There wasn’t much reason given here by the Buccaneers for this pick, but with very few linebacker prospects in the draft Bradman seemed to have drawn Bondi Beach’s attention over the others taken after him. I don’t know a whole lot about the user, but I’d assume Bondi Beach knows what they’re doing in selecting him here and offer them a: Good pick?
With that I end my three round draft brief and hope you all enjoyed the read. If you didn’t well, you have poor taste and should go read Goosebumps or something instead. XtitanXMVPX signing off!
