I need to make clear before anyone reads this review, I am purely judging these picks based on the impact ON THE FIELD as players. So you may have a player that involves a user who has become a GM or a great member of the war room etc. etc. That won’t factor into my judging. Anyway, now that that’s all cleared up, on to the draft review!
Round Four
We’ve hit round four! The final round I’ll be covering because rounds five through seven are full of players that either entered the draft IA or retired shortly after. With that said, on to the round four review!
Pick 37-Chicago Butchers-Oliver Sloan-S
User: Netlandic
Starting TPE-124
Current TPE-430
Difference-+306
Oliver Sloan, director of such films like JFK and- oh wait, that’s Oliver Stone. Sloan the safety is on the Butchers at 430 TPE, about as good as you can expect once you get to this point in the draft.
Pick 38-San Jose Sabercats-Rashad Hilliard-CB
User: GotDatWeefee
Starting TPE-145
Current TPE-624
Difference-+479
If Hilliard isn’t the steal of the draft, then you’d have a hard time convincing me of anyone else who is. Far and away the best value in the back half of the draft, Hilliard is very Marcus Peters-esque in that he is an absolute ballhawk. His first year in the DSFL he had a whopping 7 picks and seems to be continuing those ways in San Jose. It’s picks like this that build a championship caliber squad. I don’t give picks grades but if I did I’d give this one an A+.
Pick 39-Honolulu Hahalua-Ajay Krishna-OL
User: Hooperorama
Starting TPE-109
Current TPE-125/Retired
Difference-+16
Krishna retired as a part of the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers and never got called up to play for Honolulu.
Pick 40-Sarasota Sailfish-Arlington Heights-DL
User: Misobvious
Starting TPE-180
Current TPE-365
Difference-+185
Heights was drafted by Sarasota but currently plays for the Colorado Yeti. At 365 TPE he works just find as a depth piece and will likely stay that way for the entirety of his career.
Pick 41-Sarasota Sailfish-Thad Pennington Jr.-OL
User: Blastmeaway
Starting TPE-113
Current TPE-322
Difference-+109
The third-to-last relevant pick in the draft, Pennington is still earning albeit slowly and fulfilling the ever important “warm body” slot along the offensive line.
Pick 42-Arizona Outlaws-Mattress Cadaire-LB/OL
User: MattressCadaire
Starting TPE-171
Current TPE-401
Difference-+230
The second-to-last relevant pick in the draft, Cadaire currently plays offensive line for the Outlaws and is once again, a warm body starter, though 491 TPE works just fine for that role.
Pick 43-New Orleans Second Line-Woodrow Brooks-DL
User: Garnuk
Starting TPE-135
Current TPE-135/Retired
Difference-+0
This just makes me sad. Text me Garnuk, please. I miss you.
Pick 44-Baltimore Hawks-Myles Smith-LB
User: TheManWhoSoldTheWorld
Starting TPE-133
Current TPE-155/Retired
Difference-+22
Former Python MWSTW never made it to Baltimore and retired at 155 TPE.
Pick 45-Baltimore Hawks-Mai Fukushu-RB
User: Jiggly_333
Starting TPE-246
Current TPE-751
Difference-+505
The final relevant pick of the draft, Mai Fukushu, better known as Jiggly is currently the starting running back for Baltimore. Many have an issue with him off the field but on the field he proves to be a very reliable back.
Pick 46-Orange County Otters-Chad Simpson-DL
User: Jepox
Starting TPE-129
Current TPE-246/Retired
Difference-+117
Former Seawolf Chad “the rig” Simpson retired at 246 TPE and never received the call up to Orange County Otters.
Pick 47-Baltimore Hawks-Sasha Medved-DL
User: Walder Frey
Starting TPE-108
Current TPE-134/Retired
Difference-+26
Former Birddog Sasha Medvid retired at 134 TPE and never got the call up to Baltimore.
Pick 48-Yellowknife Wraiths-Frank Michell-TE
User: DeadlyPlayer
Starting TPE-139
Current TPE-328
Difference-+189
Deadly sux lmap. In all seriousness, Deadly is a very decent user off the field and could be a simi reliable Nick Boyle type on the field. Basically the final decent earner in the class, which is also worthy of note.
