Welcome to the Yellowknife Wraiths S26 Awards. Not everyone can win the league wide awards so each season we survey the team to find our own winners for awards on the team! Thanks to everyone who voted in this:
Colby Jack went off and had an amazing year. He was one of the main driving points on offense that helped us reach and bring home that sweet sweet trophy. The last two seasons Jack has had good seasons, he was third in yards for season 25 and fourth for season 26, but where he really improved was his touchdowns to interceptions ration. He threw for 29 touchdowns season 26, and only threw seven interceptions throughout the whole season! He also managed to up his completion percentage and his quarter back rating as well. Another area he improved his play from 25 to 26 is his rushing attack. He went from two touchdowns to five and 324 yards on the ground up to a league leading 447 out of quarter backs! He had lots of great performances, but I really like his week fifteen game against the Yeti, he threw 36 passes, 25 completions, 362 yards with 3 touchdowns and no picks.
From almost winning last season to getting to bring home some hardware, Douglas Quaid was a leader on and off the field for this defense. He is our TPE leader for the defensive side of the ball. He is a very good defender against the pass, he consistently gets pass deflections and lots of tackles. This season it was difficult for the Wraiths defense as they all had a good year, allowing the least amount of points to opposing teams out all teams. The closest team in points allowed was almost 40 points away. Douglas Quaid also managed two touchdowns and six sacks and two interceptions in addition to his tackles and pass deflections. One of his best performances was in week ten against the Butchers, where he had four tackles, four pass deflections, and one interception return for a touchdown.
Colby was a runner up for this award last season, and finally put it all together. Not only was he better in the passing game, his running game stepped up big time. He made tons of great plays, didn't turn the ball over, and basically did everything he was asked and then some. With our defense stepping up and helping out, it made his life even easier as it wasn't all on his shoulders every game to try and force things to happen. And of course his locker room leadership helps out a ton. No questioning his dedication to the team and the overall atmosphere that the Wraiths bring.
Mark Walker came a long way from his rookie season, granted he was a first year call up, so he was lacking a little on the TPE side. In his second full season, he had 62 receptions for 962 yards (so close to 1k) and hauled in six touchdowns, compared to his rookie year of 49 receptions for 579 yards and a big ole goose egg for touchdowns. Almost 400 more yards and six more touchdowns from year one to two. He was moved into the number two position full time this season and it really showed. This team has so many weapons on offense, it is difficult for them all to have good games every week. But, I know Walker is about doing whatever is needed to get the win. So, that Ultimus trophy makes it all better. Most of his performances were similar to each other, so I am picking his Ultimus performance where he lead the team in receptions with four for 99 yards.
Hard to argue with this award. He made the swap from TE to corner back and hasn't looked back. He gets the start across from second year back Foster, and has more than held his own. He had eighty tackles and four interceptions in his rookie year, also got elected captain(that should tell you how much we like the guy). He should anchor one side of the corner back spots for many seasons to come. In a close game, week 14 against the Fire lizards, McJimmerson had four tackles, three pass deflections and an interception to help pull the win out.
DarknessRising
Multiple users getting votes here, definitely a team full of dedication to help bring the success. But this season, one user wen't above and beyond in his day to day routine. Flyeaglesfly29 has been awesome in all aspects of his leadership. He got his player having an amazing season, in the locker room he is always around, always willing to help out. He helped get all of our players to resign to see what we can do in the coming seasons. Shoutout to Pmoney for also being amazing in the leadership department(hard to feel bad he didn't win this one, as he wont the last two seasons). Shoutout to Darkness for being the WR1 on the field and in the locker room. And shoutout to Colabear for being awesome on off the field.
Uber continues his ways as a great presence in the locker room. He makes graphics, always around if you need help. Also got called up and had an amazing rookie season. He always has time to harass DarknessRising in discord. What more can I say, he is the locker room MVP for a reason.
Additional Shoutouts:

Performance of the year
Dan Foster - Ultimus - 5 Tck, 4 PD, 3 Int, 1 TD

Kai Sakura - Ultimus - 3 rec, 124 yards, 2 TD
We had a couple of amazing performances in the Ultimus to take that trophy, but none were better than what second year corner back Dan Foster put together. He started off with five tackles, added in four pass deflections, somehow also managed three interceptions and turned one of those picks into a pick six. The man was a monster. You would think at some point the opposing team would stop throwing the ball at him. But, they kept on trying with their game plan and Foster was up to the task. Shoutout to Kai for having the runner up with 3 catches and two of those for TDs. Most Dedicated Member
