People round here are always talkin like they are the know all but really everyone is making half the shit up. Im going to try to do a new take on who the best linebackers in the league are. Im going to look at what some do good and what others do good and see where we go from there.
Some people will like to do a look at tackles to say whos good and whos not. Tackles are good because it means you are makin stops on the offense and the other team never scores on a play that the lb makes a tackle right?
SO heres a chart with the best tacklers. They are putting their noses down and gettin it done on defense. Hackett is leading the way for the SaberCats with 40 tackles after four games. Puttin up great numbers flying around on the field playin sideline to sideline and making the offense know his position on all downs. Right behind Hackett we have broadway who’s been making an impact in lots of ways and we’ll get to those later, but for now, 39 tackles. Then we’ve got my boy, my brother in arms, and a straight up baller Jaylon lee. Lee is getting 38 tackles and doin it surrounded by other talented players on the d. he’s tied with tyler varga who is fightin hard to keep the las vegas legion defense together by making every stop he can. The next guy on the list is maric who is filling a roll similar to vargas role but for the other new expansion team the Philadelphia liberty. Finally we got another one of my boys in hariff ernston who is coming in at 34 tackles. Two line backers from Arizona outlaws show you just how impressive it is for two of these guys to be on this list from their team. They gotta fight to get them tackles.
But I really dont know if tackles are the only or the most important stats for a guy that plays linebacker. They can do work in all kinds of different positions besides after a play is made.
Next we will go to tackles for loss to see who is makin hits in the run game. Here we have boggs from Yellowknife leading the numbers with 4. First let me say boggs is the best linebacker on his team by far and hes a new guy coming in to the league after the season 2 draft. Either this guy is a god among men at the position or the wraiths defense is just a deadzone for line backer talent outside of boggs. My money is on the second option. Net on the list we have krimlaw who is on the Philadelphia liberty and also tied with boggs for 4. After that we got a bunch of guys with 2 tackles for loss. This is counting hariff ernston my outlaw broseph in battle, selich of the saber cats, yours truly luke luechly , then we have wright of the Baltimore hawks, tucker who was a tight end for the season 2 draft and is still out playing some people that considered themselves first round talent in the season 2 draft, parker of san jose, hampshireton of Yellowknife who I think is an afk player but still out doing some teammates at the line backer position, and luke chunk another season 2 line backer that makes the list.
Now tackles for loss are good and hurt the offense by making big plays in the run game. But there is even more stuff a line backer can do. I mean, im sure if you are a line backer worth your salt you are going to be doing one of these things well.
Here is a chart that looks at forced fumbles or fumble recoveries. If you are forcing fumbles are recovering them you are doing work for your team on offense. And if you get these its no easy thing because people round here aren’t no slouches that give the ball to you easy. So these guys all forced a fumble: selich, luke luechly, wright, tucker, hampshireton, varga, and saint. We got a lot of names comin up a lot here but then we also got a guy Austin who is the only line backer to get a fumble recovery, but he didn’t force it himself. So these two charts are showing you what line backers here play like men that lbs should be. They attack the line of scrimmage and make hits on baller carriers doing the dirty work defense needs to win. Find ball see ball get ball.
Theres some other ways you can be a hardcore line backer doing the dirty work and get respek from real ballers. And thats getting those sacks. So heres a chart for line backer sacks. We see my boy ernston here again at top with 7, you read it right 7 times hes mad the other qbs shit themselves. Then we got broadway showin up again with 5 sacks. A good number. Broadway is also the only line backer in the game with a safety. So he likes to get the qb and get points doin it. Then we got myself luechly and saint with 4 sacks each. There is also three guys coming up next with 3 sacks Hampshireton, parker, and fulton. These guys are not slouches at the art of sacks either. I will give a shout to my boy Jaylon lee again. Hes been my bro on and off the field and hes doing the dirty work in the middle so me and hariff ernston can go balls deep on these qbs and show them whats what and whos who.
So I will say im old school football and I think a line backer should be poundin people and big and strong. But I get it’s a modern game now and i can appreciate that people need to play the pass so heres some stats for modern line backers that can go do work and stop passes. First we will go with passes defended and that’s lead by some names we should know by now broadway and Hackett who both have 5. Then we got 3 good platers with 4 sacks and two are from Philadelphia. Tucker, krimlaw, and fulton have defended 4 passes each in 4 games. To round the group out we once again have my fuckin boy the legend hariff ernston with 3 passes defended. This motherfucker is everywhere and puttin up the numbers to show for it.
We also got a chart to show interceptions. This is every linebacker to get a interception on the season and thats led by you mother fuckers guessed it hariff ernston again with 2. Also with 2 interception are tucker and maric. Then weve got broadway, tiernan, flimjollywop, and the wraiths star line backer boggs.
So these are all the stats that anybody who is anything worth fuckin anything at the line backer spots have. If you arent on a single one of these lists maybe its time to accept you aint no football player. Maybe you can go try your hand at being a car salesman or a personal trainer but this aint for you bruh. The good news is anybody not on these lists is afk or a way later draft pick that never even started the game, oh and maybe a big ass baby draft bust.
Now I know some people or just one person might say they are so good at being in coverage the never get thrown out and they are so good. And to that im gonna say bitch please. Your sorry ass thinks you are stopping every pass everywhere so good that the qb doesn’t throw it. Try defending a couple of passess if you think your ass is the bees knees of coverage backers.
Now for some quick rankings that could be negotiated in the list itself here we go.
1. Ernston
2. Broadway
3. Lee
4. Hackett
5. Saint
6. Luechly
7. Boggs
8. Fulton
9. Varga
10. Tucker

12. Tiernan
13. Selich
14. Harrison
15. Harris
16. Washington
17. Krimlaw
18. Parker
19. Flimjollywop
These are based on future potential plus stats this season and stats people did last season. the people on the list are negotiable in order but the people not on the list are probably just whiny ass trash.
There was also some stats in this one.
