Week 1 got off to a rough start for Philadelphia, they were completely shut out in the first quarter, 2 turnovers by the offense on their first and third drives did not help much either. But with 10 minutes left in the second quarter their RB Williams broke off a 44 yard run to give Philadelphia their first points of the season. Their kicker Fencik walked onto the field to attempt the extra point, his kick was good, and secured another point for Philadelphia. Late in the second quarter Philadelphia drove all the way down to the Honolulu 2 yard line, finding themselves on 4th down and needing points, Philadelphia kicked the field goal, a 19 yard attempt for Fencik. Fencik's kick was once again good, and secured three more points for Philadelphia before halftime. Halfway through the first quarter Philadelphia QB Phoenix scored his first TD of the season with a 5 yard pass to Blocksdale Jr. Fencik's second extra point attempt of the game was good. Down by 3 with 1:13 left on the clock Phoenix found Panda for a 44 yard strike to get the Liberty down the field quickly. With 11 seconds left on the clock and no timeouts, Phoenix spiked the ball with 11 seconds remaining to give Fencik a chance to send the game into overtime. Fencik lined up for a 47 yard attempt, with the game on the line, his kick went through the uprights scoring three points for Philadelphia, and sent the game into overtime. The ball was launched into the air. It seemed to hang in the air for a while, but it was accurate, and it had the distance, and his kick went through the uprights, scoring three points for Philadelphia and winning the game.
After his hero performance last week, week 2 was much quieter for Fencik. Late in the first quarter Philadelphia found themselves facing 4th and 12 from the Chicago 26 yard line. Instead of going for it, which would be a terrible decision here, they took the field goal, and sent out Fencik. Fencik lined up for a 43 yard attempt, he drilled the ball through the uprights, scoring Philadelphia three points, and their first points of the game. Late in the second quarter Philadelphia scored their first TD of the game, a 7 yard pass from Phoenix to Batista. Fencik's extra point attempt was good. That was Fencik's last kick of week 2, he punted the ball 7 times.
