Hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here with the write ups for weeks 1-4 of the Philadelphia Liberty game ball write-ups! These first 4 games were quite the roller coaster as we dropped our first two games due to bad sim luck but managed to win against Chicago by some miracle and blew out Baltimore. Like always this game balls will be presented as they were written on the Philadelphia Liberty locker room so without any further ado let's begin showing off these game balls!
Week 1
"Hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here with the Philadelphia Liberty game balls for week 1! It was a tough loss against the Berlin Fire Salamanders but we seemed to have proven that we can hang with the big boys if need be. I personally think we will be a consistent playoffs team if we keep at it and this game proved it. Negs no matter how bad you were this game you will not be as bad as Pierno was with his 35 picks in a season. You weren't even that bad in all honesty. To those of you that are new I separate the game balls into offensive and defensive categories with special teams being put in the offensive category. But without any further ado let's hand out these game balls!
Offensive
Tbh honest the offense wasn't exactly terrible this game. Like I said Negs didn't have the worst debut it's just that Berlin has a strong defense. Looking through the index it seems to me that the running game was our strength and I wish we did it more. But one player seems to have stand out among the offensive players this week and it is not my player though Tsuyu did have 5 catches. But anyways the winner of this week's Philadelphia Liberty Offensive Game Ball is:
Andres Christensen! Man going from barely getting any touches in Colorado to getting a touchdown and the game ball in Philadelphia. In 9 rushing attempts he had 49 yards and our only offensive touchdown. He definitely proved he was worth the free agency signing. Congratulations Andres and enjoy your game ball!
Defensive
Man the defense was awesome this game! Two picks with one of them going for a touchdown and sacking Kapercolin a total of five times! They definitely kept us in the game when we were struggling offensively. Need I also mention that we also got a safety? It definitely gave me hope for the future of this team and imagine how we will be when CJ Sonjack and Xavier Walls comes in? This game ball will be hard to decide at first sight as a result. But as I looked through the index I soon discovered who absolutely deserves this game ball. And that man is...
Jimi DeSoto! He was all over the field today with 9 tackles and even scored the pick 6 I mentioned earlier and even got a sack and a pass deflection. He literally did everything besides get a safety. Definitely a worthy captain of this defense. Congratulations Jimi and enjoy this game ball!"
Week 2
"Hello comrades and welcome to the Moscow Marauders game balls where everyone gets game balls for the glory of Mother Russia-oh wait April fool's day was yesterday oh well. But anyways hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here with the Philadelphia Liberty game balls for week 2 where it was another tough loss against the Orange County Otters unfortunately but I think we did good in keeping it close. The offensive game ball will be pretty cut and dry as I go over 2 candidates for it but the defensive game ball will be a bit murky but I think I found a good winner for that too. But without any further ado let's begin handing out these game balls!
Btw I had to rewrite this after I accidentally pasted over it. Yep not happy about that.
Offensive
Ok let me get this out of the way first: those two fumbles we had were probably the big reason we lost because other then that the offense played well it seemed. Well except for my player Tsuyu Asui who only had 5 yards which sucks. But anyways I got a couple of candidates to show off here and they are:
Killan Chambers
8 catches from 11 targets for 114 yards and a touchdown
A really nice day from Killian here. Getting triple figure yards and a touchdown is always noteworthy and he definitely deserved some praise here. But I don't think his day would have gone quite as well as the winner here who is:
Ryan Negs!
23/30 for 232 yards and 2 touchdowns
!
Ryan definitely made up for his 2 int game last time by having an amazing day here only missing 7 passes and getting over 230 yards and 2 touchdowns in a day that I wish we won for him. This is his first ever Philadelphia Liberty game ball so I hope he enjoys it!
Defensive
Another good day for the defense with them forcing 3 total turnovers with 2 interceptions and a forced fumble recovery. Like i said remove the fumbles we had and we would have probably won. It's been a couple of frustrating games (and I don't know if that will get better against Chicago) but I do hope things improve soon. But anyways I have 2 candidates and they are:
James Hoffman
4 tackles and a pass deflection and an interception
Definitely a great day from him. Maybe not the most productive day in terms of tackles but the interception definitely makes up for it. But I don't think his stats are enough to beat the winner here:
Jimi DeSoto!
9 tackles with a sack and a forced fumble and a fumble recovery
2 straight game balls to start out the season for our defensive captain! His forced fumble was very impressive especially since he recovered it. Plus he was one away from double digit tackles! Congratulations Jimi and enjoy this game ball!"
Week 3
"Holy freaking crap this game against Chicago was absolutely insane! An extremely close back and forth battle with so many players coming in clutch in so many different ways! I am very excited to be writing this, so hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here with the Philadelphia Liberty game balls for week 3 where we had an insane miracle win in the last 2 seconds off a kick return of all things! There are so many things to talk about with this game and I am very eager to get started. So without any further ado let's hand out these game balls!
Offensive
This one is hard since I am actually handing out a special game ball separate from this one to a specific player. Literally everyone played thier hearts out and even Tsuyu had some amazing clutch catches including one in the last minute to get us into field goal range. Ryan Negs only had one touchdown but he also had almost 300 yards so that is awesome. But looking over the index and taking into account that I am saving a special game ball for one player in particular this offensive game ball goes to...
Killian Chambers! His total stats were:
He had 10 catches for 106 yards and a touchdown with his longest catches being 34 yards!
These are amazing stats and he actually broke the double digit catches barrier which is definitely not easy. I qm very proud to give him this offensive game ball but coming up next is a very special game ball
Imagine if you are a Philadelphia Liberty fan watching the rival Chicago Butchers get a field goal to take the lead against them leaving 2 seconds on the clock. You must think that it is definitely over right? There is definitely no way that the Liberty would be able to win. But you forgot something: once Flash Panda smells food, nothing can stop him. As he waited to catch the kick return he smells the last batch of funnel cakes being served to fans. With the speed of a cheetah he ran and bulldozed over the entire Butchers team and didn't stop running even after he got an unbelievable miracle 102 yard kick return touchdown. He was eventually found asleep near the vendor covered in crumbs of funnel cakes.
For this reason I am handing out a Golden Game Ball to Flash Panda!
Defensive
Holy moly this defense played great! Even though they did give up a lot of points they bended but did not completely break and kept the door open for our unbelievable miracle win. Doy Fieri had an amazing pick 6 that was huge for us however I wanted to hand out the game ball to someone who may have had an even bigger impact on the game overall. So I am very happy to hand out this game ball to:
Tex Wrecks! His overall stats are having 7 tackles and 1 tackle for loss and 2 sacks!
Yes Doy Fieri had the more flashy plays but Tex did his absolute best to make sure Chicago's running game didn't run all over us. Plus he got to O'Donnell for 2 sacks and had a tackle for loss. Congratulations Tex and enjoy the game ball!"
Week 4
"We also needed this win after the Chicago win. We had all of the momentum going into Baltimore and it definitely showed as we blew then out. But anyways hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here with the Philadelphia Liberty game balls for week 4! Like I said it was a very good win for us and it is always nice to blow out teams. The game balls will be pretty cut and dry for both sides of the ball and I am very excited to hand them out. A player will actually be getting his first game ball of the season as you will soon see. But without any further ado let's begin handing out these game balls!
Offensive
It was an offensive explosion as we all cut through Baltimore's defense with ease. It's extremely telling that Jake Fencik did not have to kick a single field goal and kicked six out of six extra points. My player Tsuyu Asui actually got her first touchdown in this game even if the rest of her stats aren't as impressive admittedly. Heck one of her bigger catches was nullified by defensive passer interference I believe. But anyways we gotta hand out this game ball and this one wasn't quite as cut and dry as I thought as I looked through the index again. I actually had to flip a coin for it bit I ultimately made a decision with the winner being...
Ryan Negs! His stats were: 23 completions from 31 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns.
I will give a shout out to Darrel Williams for his 69 yards and two touchdowns on the ground which is very nice and it could have gone to ether one of them but ultimately the coin picked Ryan and his stats were very good here so I will give him the game ball but Williams is a very close second. Congratulations Ryan and enjoy this game ball!
Defensive
What an amazing performance by this defense! We made life extremely hard for Skywalker and the Baltimore offense as we held them to 17 points. And hell thier last touchdown was in garbage time when the defense was getting tired. Actually you could say both of thier touchdowns were in garbage time honestly. This game ball will actually be cut and dry but I will give a shout out to Gary Goodman for having two sacks and Tex Wrecks for forcing a fumble we unfortunately didn't recover. But anyways the winner is...
Doy Fieri! His stats were: 8 tackles and one pass deflection and an interception.
Like I said it's pretty cut and dry as Doy was all over the field and almost took an interception to the house. Congratulations Doy and enjoy this game ball!"
Well I hope you all enjoyed what I wrote for each week. I work very hard on all of them and I am happy that it is my responsibility. Thank you for reading and I hope to see you all on the field!
