Hey everyone I assume you miss me dearly. I haven't made a report in quite a while, so I'm sure you have been wondering about me. Well, I am back and there is no doubt in my mind that you are deeply glad to see me make another appearance.
So the New Orleans Second Line have no quite have the season of their dreams. Coming off a loss in the Ultimi, there is no doubt that the Second Line was looking to go back to the playoffs and finish the deal that they failed to finish. To update those who are unaware, here are the current standings in the ASFC:
Arizona Outlaws 9 3
New York Silverbacks 9 3
Austin Copperheads 8 4
Honolulu Hahalua 5 7
San Jose SaberCats 4 8
New Orleans Second Line 4 8
Orange County Otters 4 8
As you can see the Second Line has a long way to go to get back in the picture. Training the Copperheads by 4 games. But all hope is not yet lost in the Second Line locker room. I spoke to Jonathan Shuffleboard, and he told me the team is feeling on a high coming off of two straight victories. With just 4 games left in the season they need a perfect result. Austin could lose 4 straight games, why not? And the Second Line could win 4 in a row at the same time. Crazier things have happened in the world of sports, and the world of sim sports.
But as far as our favorite prodigy, the aforementioned Jonathan Shuffleboard, he is having a solid season. While he is not a 3 down player, he plays around two thirds of the snaps on defense, particularly playing when in passing situations. He has been playing out of position due to Mayson Blaylock being the team's free safety.
In twelve games from the strong safety position, Shuffleboard has put up an impressive 34 tackles, that is three a game from the back of the defense. Sadly, that shows how many long plays the defense gives up. He has both a sack and an interception, showing some of the versatility that we were expecting to see from him at this level. He has 5 passes defended.
Either way, I hope you enjoyed my return to these virtual pages.
