(This is a Charity perk item for @Jimi64 and I hope he enjoys it)
These are all entries in Tsuyu Asui's diary as she and Matt Cross and Jimi DeSoto take a massive offseason road trip across various cities that do not currently have ISFL teams for various charities and hospitals. This was a long road trip so I will only tell you the most important entries. Without any further ado let's begin!
Entry #1: Philadelphia Pennsylvania
"Ok so I have to thank god that Matt Cross did not get to choose the RV himself and that we all pooled our money onto it. It is probably the nicest RV we could have bought even if it will end up on Jimi DeSoto's name as we could not put it on all of our names without renting the double decker RV. I guess it was Jimi's idea to do this road trip in the first place so I should not complain about RV ownership. But even then it has a hidden hot tub and already installed tvs and even it's own WI-FI! Holy moly I would love it if it was in my name, but regardless I think I have everything I need packed as I quadruple checked everything.
Jimi had already picked up Matt when they pulled up to my house. Of course they brought some drinks with them but Jimi has sworn not to drink and drive. Matt smelled like he had a couple of them but he wasn't really drunk. That guy can hold his liquor so I wasn't worried. Along the way out of the city we stopped by a local gas station to grab a whole bunch of snacks. I asked why they didn't grab snacks first but apparently the alcohol store didn't have any. But at least we also stopped for cheesesteaks because I was extremely hungry.
Our first stop will be Knoxville and Nashville both in Tennessee. Hopefully we can get some southern hospitality along the way and maybe even a great dinner at a restaurant there. But anyways I am getting tired so I will be taking a quick nap while we are on the road. Tsuyu out."
Entry #2: somewhere along the way to Tennessee
"I woke up before the boys but they woke up pretty quickly to the sound of me making bacon. I was actually kind of embarrassed to be wearing my "Froggy chief" apron but luckily they didn't say anything. After we ear breakfast it looks like it's my turn to start driving us around. At least I can now control the radio, hope they like old country music!"
Entry #3: Nashville and Knoxville Tennessee
"Thankfully they didn't complain too much about my music tastes, not that they had any room to. We reached Nashville a couple of days ago and stopped by a local rescue where we had one of the most delicious steak dinners I've ever had! And the waitresses were so nice as well. When Yesterday came we headed to a meet and greet in a community center in Nashville. The turn around was really good surprisingly enough. My hand started to ache a bit after signing so many autographs.
One lady wanted me to sign a bra of hers while she was still wearing it. I politely but firmly refused. She looked disappointed but understood. Luckily that was the weirdest one I was asked to sign. Nothing much of note happened in the Knoxville meet and greet except for the fact that we were told that we had raised a lot of money for a local hospital which did make me feel good! Afterwards I go to meet a disabled girl while the boys talk to a few sick kids. The girl was a total sweetheart and I loved talking to her! She was a huge fan if me actually so I took a picture with her and signed her uniform. It's things like these that makes it all worth it."
Entry #4: Louisville Kentucky
"Apparently we should have taken a globe. We realized that Kentucky is north of Tennessee so we had to tell a detour heading north towards Louisville. I was extremely excited to be back in Kentucky but I was not expecting any kind of heroes welcome. When we walked around the Louisville Slugger Museum I insisted we visit, I was recognized by a lot of Kentucky people and I introduced them to the boys. We ended up taking a few pictures amd singing some autographs. The boys insisted we buy some bourbon so we got some along the way. It tasted smooth.
At the St.Jude's hospital we all visited a whole bunch of kids with terminal illnesses, which did break my heart a bit. I did my best to put on a brave face as we went around and talked to the kids. They were all amazing despite how sick they were so I am still a bit teary-eyed thinking about them. I just hope good things will come to them soon."
Entry #5: Las Vegas Nevada
"Vegas is beautiful at night! All the neon and night life. We stopped by a casino along the way and Matt lost $500 to a blackjack table before we managed to drag him away. I won $200 on a slot machine tho so that is definitely a plus! As usual we visited a few hospitals and did meet and greets. I really think Vegas could use an ISFL team. In fact I think they did have one at one point. I cannot remember. The people there were going crazy over the ISFL and they could totally support a team there again. I don't know, just my thoughts."
Entry #6: Seattle Washington
"Wow and I thought Vegas was ISFL crazy! Seattle had the biggest turn out of them all and my hand was aching so much by the end. We did meet tons of cool people there so that is cool. While we were there we looked around many technology centers and I almost bought a new phone before the boys dragged me away. Thank god they did, because they told me about the fine print. Really saved my ass. But anyways after this great adventure we will be heading home. It was fun but holy moly I am exhausted. Still we managed to raise in total over 5000$ dollars which made us extremely happy.
As we prepare to head home I am reminded of a certain song I first heard one time in my old Kentucky home: 'Country roads take me home to the place I belong....'"
Well that is all the important entries so I hope you enjoyed and I really hope Jimi enjoyed! Hope to see you all on the field!
