Week 11 vs Dallas: PYTHONS WIN, THEEEE PYTHONS WIN!!! Portland defeats the Dallas Birddogs 20-17 and what a win this was for us! The defense showed up today! While it was a bit of a rough night for the secondary but the front 7 was absolutely dominant. Holding the Birddogs to just 25 rushing yards on 16 rushing attempts. A few players had dominant games at the line of scrimmage. It started with Future MVP Xaiver Walls who had 7 tackles and a sack on the night. Walls was a force to be reckoned with and the Offensive Line is still having nightmares about it. Rookie Cornerback Lip Gallagher had 7 tackles and a pass deflection and the Birddogs are still trying to find a little bit of space to get a completion. Carter Fox and Logan Anderson were both right there behind Walls to push the OL back and disrupt every play. They both had 4 tackles and Fox had a tackle for loss. Despite all of these great performances one player, one man, one corner stood out. Suggs Upshar, 5 tackles, a force fumble that and a pass deflection!? My man! Suggs balled out tonight and Dallas is still trying to breakdown his coverage!!! Congratulations Suggs!
Week 5 was another heart breaking loss for your pythons. We had scored 16 unanswered points to come back from being down 13-0 only to lose on a last second touchdown with a final score of 20-16. Sometimes you just lose a game like that and while it sucks it can be good motivation to improve and get better day after day, game after game! Anyway lets get into the top performers from week 5! Our amazing QB LBJ III had a pretty good game, 12/22 for 121 yards and a touchdown is always good! Per Usual the best HB core in the world showed up and specifically Remus Roman who rushed for 94 yard on 16 attempts but the stupid dallas defense didnt let him score. It was a quiet day for the receiving core considering there were only 12 receptions to spread out but they still had an incredible game. Saleem Spence continued their dominance and led the way with 6 receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown! Quavious McGrady led the team in receiving yards with 65 on receptions in large part thanks to a 34 yard play! McGrady averaged 21.7 yards tonight and is continuing to make the most of every opportunity he gets! Rookie Tight End Stanley Yelnats also picked up 3 receptions for 22 yards with a long of 13, congratulations to them! On Special Teams Toy Robot had a busy night 6 punts for 230 yards with a long of 45 and 2 punts pinned inside the 20. Despite all these incredible performances the week 5 Offensive player of the week goes to Kicker Cade York who was a perfect 3/3 on the day with a long of 46 yards. Cade also had what was at the time the game winning FG before Dallas had the last minute score to win the game. Congratulations Cade and go Pythons!
A tough loss in week 1 for us snakes, a good performance from quite a few snakes but after 4 quarters we were only able to put up 13 points on a stout London defense. Lebron James III had a solid week 1 performance putting up 212 yards on a 14/26 day! Rookie Noah Johns played well on the ground having a 3.9 yards per carry, Remus Roman had an extremely nice number of yards, 69, and the signal touchdown for us snakes! Salem Spence led the pythons in receptions with 6, Quavius McGrady led the team in receiving yards with 81 and Tay Heenie led the team in pancakes with 4! Special teams kicker Cade York had a solid game with 2 FGs and an extra point. But the player of the game award goes to the greatest punter in DSFL history, Toy Robot who had an incredible game, 4 punts for 180 yards and an average of 45 yards per punt! Robots longest punt went 53 yards and he pinned the ball inside the 20 once! Congratulations @grok
