My mocks are often mostly wrong and if you are going to criticize what I write then be prepared for rebuttal! But seriously, these mocks are incredibly hard to predict correctly so take everything here with a grain of salt and just go with it. I judge these things based on positional need, locker room spy tactics, whispers in the dark, and my group of secret ninjas that actively talk others into talking about things that really, probably have no real merit towards how to make an accurate mock draft. So sit down, open your cheetos, and get to wasting like 10 minutes of your life. Good luck and godspeed.
ROUND 1
PICK #1: Baltimore Hawks - Marcus Jones (LB) TIJ
My pick here is based on a user with a bit more money available, a needed position, and possibly being someone who would switch around. Drizzy is a user who really knows what the league is about and how to go about his week to week gig. This is the kind of player that Baltimore has been picking under the new regime and I think they continue along the same path here on their way to building a team that will compete. This pick could go so many different ways that its hard to judge. I don’t think they take Fever95 here as I know he’s a newer player (and my opinion doesn’t mean jack whether the fact I think he’s the better pick here or not) and might not fit the Hawks’ current outlook? Who knows, they have another pick soon.
PICK #2: New Orleans Secondline - Quinton Crash (WR) KCC
My pick for NOLA here is one I think makes the most sense. They need a tight end really bad, however with Spencer switching, I think they take a player here that matches the value of this pick. Questions remain about Chevvy Bronko’s bank account situation (-1.5 million last it had been checked) and NOLA just needs so many key weapons to put around Slothlisberger to make this offense tick. Crash (user hihihi_62) matches the team’s needs as a person line up opposite of Barker OR even possibly play down as tight end if they are willing to switch things up.
PICK #3: Baltimore Hawks - Dante King (RB?) NOR
This pick is based solely on the fact that I think Shady will switch positions and fill in a spot of need for the Hawks who would love to have another rich ass player in the draft. Shady definitely has that and more along with being an obvious high earner. The running back position in general is pretty flooded so I see quite a few people in this position swapping to raise their draft stock and be involved for a team immediately. I think King does exactly that here and offers Baltimore just way too much value to not make the pick here.
PICK #4: Philadelphia Liberty - Lucid Dreams (DE) LON
Philadelphia is coming off of one of the most talent filled drafts in history and I think they continue to find users who are incredibly versatile and good for the culture of the locker room. That’s why I picture them taking both a great user and a position of need here. Pat and Cody love allowing players to stay at their positions of want and even if Lucid Dreams is willing to switch positions this is just a match made in heaven here. Lucid brings a sweetass podcast and a variety of experience to the table here along with a personality that is very easy to get along with. If this isn’t the pick here it’s because Lucid was taken earlier in lieu of his bank account. Lucky for him, the Liberty boys kick out a ton of media.
PICK #5: Chicago Butchers - Lip Gallagher (CB) POR
Don’t worry, I didn’t forget about the S29 class leader in TPE. Fever95 has been a hell of a user all year long and I think Chicago is the perfect fit for him here. Chicago needs help with an aging secondary and Lip offers that in heaps. A true top 5 pick here makes this draft instantly a win for the team. Lip has been raising his bank account numbers and has also been active in a variety of locker rooms. I know he’s had great interviews with a handful of teams, but this value here is just too much for Chicago not to leap on. Having played this season with Lip as well, I know they are getting a great guy for any locker room and someone who will be contributing for season after season both on and off the field.
PICK #6: Orange County Otters - Chevvy Bronko (TE) BBB
Coming off an incredible year, user Musha6570 has really shined in his ability to be active and earn along with on field success. His bank account situation is a bit of an issue but overall I don’t think that will stop OCO from taking one of the top TPE earners this season at a position of need for them with Evans getting into regression range. Musha is a great locker room guy as well and someone I scouted closely in the DSFL so I know that he is a quality pick up. All he needs is some help with media and he’ll be up there with the heavy hitters no problem. OCO gets a great value pick here with very little downside.
PICK #7: Colorado Yeti - Gronku Muerto (TE) TIJ
The Yeti need a tight end bad and some of the top earners in this class are tight ends so that makes it pretty easy after seeing the top tight end go that they select user KezKincaid here. Another player I scouted for the DSFL, Kez will bring a good bit of activity to the locker room and also has a good personality that I see matching with the Colorado locker room. His bank account could be a bit higher, but that's an easy fix that I think the Yeti will be able to manage.
PICK #8: Honolulu Hahalua - Tre’ Mendus Johnson (LB) BBB
Another pick who’s a bit low in money, but has shown to be very active in locker rooms, taking on more duties, and has really earned well. User allbetsonjames has been a great locker room guy from everyone I hear from and I know for a fact they’re great to work with as I worked alongside them in awards committee. Honolulu gets a defender who will be around for seasons to come and load up that front seven just like they need.
PICK #9: San Jose Sabercats - David Frank (LB?) MIN
This pick goes with another high quality user who has really stepped into active roles with the Greyducks. Icebear if willing to switch could fill in a big need a safety for the Sabercats and also give them one of the top earners, users, and contributors of the draft. I think this is too good of a pick (if Icebear is switching) to not make for the Sabercats as there are not many wide receiver users left on the board and with Hood leaving they need one for the future 100%.
PICK #10: Baltimore Hawks - Sam Squanch (LB?) LON
This pick revolves around names I know have been associated with the team over the last couple weeks. User EricNCSU and others from London have been very active in the Hawks nest and I think they are a very likely pick here especially if they are willing to swap positions. Eric is another user who I’ve gotten the opportunity to work with in various regards and he’s a great user for the locker room. He’s earned at a high rate and is one of the more active people in locker rooms around the league. There’s really no downside here for Baltimore at this position in the first to go out and get users they really like and play them at any position they’d want and the player would want.
PICK #11: Berlin Firesalamanders - Joey Marston (TE) DAL
Berlin needs a defensive tackle and a tight end, however, they have DeWalt coming in the second round in the form of Connor Craig. That’s why this pick makes so much sense it hurts.Capt_Blitzkrieg is a very high quality user who is fun to talk to and has experience with other leagues. He also fills an important spot of need with the DT spot being filled in the next round. Berlin should be happy with their pick as I see this being their best fit here.
PICK #12: Arizona Outlaws - Buffalo Hunter (TE) LON
The Outlaws get a great user here who has earned well, made killer graphics, and seems to always go about their business. Not a very outspoken person, user BOOM has been great in all my interactions with them. They have a very healthy bank account and remain active even with being in a skewed timezone. I think this is an incredible value to get at the end of the first round and Arizona should take this selection and run with it.
PICK #13: Baltimore Hawks - Will Smyth (DT?) LON
I’ve heard Smyth’s name associated with the Hawks a decent amount and frankly, they are one of the most active prospects in their locker room. If Smyth is willing to swap positions around here I see this being a perfect fit for both parties. This pick can go a large variety of ways as Baltimore needs an OL and Lover is the top rated one (and only one really above 100 TPE) so I could see him going here as the 2nd round pick for the Hawks will be occupied by Gimmy (Frick).
PICK #14: Yellowknife Wraiths - Jay Cue Jr. (RB?) NOR
Alright, hear me out on this one. I know Opera_Phantom loves the running back position here but with a lot of aging pieces in the Wraiths offense I see Cue Jr. coming out as a swiss army knife in the new sim. He can play out wide, tight end, and fullback and be involved in just about everything from day 1 here. The Wraiths get one of the top users in this draft here and he checks so many boxes for them. Activity, earning, bank account, and a well liked user make for a choice that just cannot be avoided at the end of the first round.
ROUND 2
PICK #15: San Jose Sabercats - John Huntsman (RB?) MIN
The Sabercats need offense with people retiring and others leaving in free agency. They can shore up that need with this pick in taking user Fronk. Like Jay Cue Jr, they can use Huntsman in the same fashion and get away with the same kind of bang for their buck. They could also trade away this pick for more picks and try to take a risk on a later player as well. A lot could happen here so stay tuned!
PICK #16: New Orleans Secondline - Sir Peter Jackson (CB) TIJ
Ddrector goes to the team he’s Gming here and fills the need for secondary help. Working alongside up and coming Nekkid and Shuffleboard, Jackson will be a great addition to the team. Not much else to say here as it’s a lock, so moving on!
PICK #17: Sarasota Sailfish - TRADED
I almost 100% think this pick will be traded as Sarasota only really needs a linebacker and the two left available are going to go at the end of this round or next round so Sarasota can safely trade back and pick up extra picks next year most likely.
PICK #18: Philadelphia Liberty - Suggs Upshar (CB?) POR
The Liberty honestly can go a variety of different paths here and come out with a great pick, but I think Upshar is the best available person at a position of need for them. Upshar can transition over to safety or stay at cornerback, but I foresee him staying at safety. Suggs is a great yser and has become very active in the Python’s locker room, war room, and with putting out analysis on various things throughout the league. This pick is an absolute steal here but really depends on who trades in via the pick before the Liberty here.
PICK #19: Chicago Butchers - Rejoignez LOrdreSombre (RB?) KCC
The Butchers take their required pick here on Bayley via a GM pick. Not sure what role they will actually be at the ISFL level but the Butchers need wide receivers and soon a quarterback among other less immediate needs. Bayley will fill where is needed with his player and that’ll be that! MOVING ON!
PICK #20: Orange County Otters - Kazimir Oles Jr. (QB) OCO
I see the Otters taking a quarterback of the future here in user Oles. The user has been active throughout the year up until recently and they were in a very active Minnesota locker room. Orange County has had a recent string of interest in Duckies and I think this will be no different. With the healthy bank account, Oles is a great pick here to solidify the future of the Otters under center.
PICK #21: Colorado Yeti - Amadeus Redding (DT) BBB
The Yeti could very well be the team that trades up for Sarasota’s pick and if thats the case I could see them taking Keane Lover if he is available, but I could also bet they’d take a long look at Amadeus Redding in this spot. Both players fill needs for the team and both have been highly active at their respective positions. Redding seems the stronger bet as they went undrafted and have still gotten up to 160 TPE throughout the season. I do not know CmdrWalrus, but I’d assume they did well in the Buccaneers locker room over their portion of the season.
PICK #22: Honolulu Hahalua - Amabacus Fitted (DE) KCC
Honolulu needs some offensive pieces really bad, but it also needs some replacements for defensive players who will be regressing soon. With no receivers really on the draft sheet at this round’s value, they would go with the next best thing and that’s a defensive end to help fill in for regression in the coming seasons. Fitted2106 is definitely a personality and it could be something Honolulu wants to spruce up the joint with their media.contributions.
PICK #23: New York Silverbacks - Rean Schwarzer (CB) TIJ
With their first pick this draft, the Silverbacks could go with their only real position of need and take the promising rookie Rean Schwarzer here. User bowl0 has been more active of late and will rebound from a season in which they did not earn as well as they likely could have. They have a real chance with the Silverbacks if they can get motivated to put the TPE in and get back on track. It’s a good risk vs. reward situation for the Silverbacks here in my opinion.
PICK #24: Orange County Otters - Ivan Toastovich (WR) DAL
I think the Otters take a wideout here just to shore up their receiving corps. The TPE ceiling of this draft is pretty shallow so this pick in other years might not rank as one for this round in value, but I see it being a pick that the Otters need to make in order to get one of the few receivers putting in activity to get TPE out of the entire draft class.
PICK #25: Baltimore Hawks - Gimmy Jaroppolo Jr. (QB) KCC
Another GM pick here as Frick gets taken by the Hawks to be the quarterback of the future. WELL FRICK HIM! UGH SO MANY GM PICKS IN THIS ROUND! SO BORING! MOVING THE FRICK ON!
PICK #26: Berlin Firesalamanders - Conner Craig Jr (DT) MIN
Berlin makes their GM pick here and the final one of this draft in DeWalt. Conner Craig Jr comes in and fills one of the biggest needs for the Firesalamanders. Gm pick, blah blah blah, great user. Blah, blah, blah...yada, yada...moving on.
PICK #27: Austin Copperheads - Panda McKyle (QB?) POR
Oh hey! Austin is in the draft! They get a really solid pick here with Panda McKyle although the user is kind of a buttplug. (JK Love you) FuriousPanda is a vet who has been around the block awhile and definitely is open to swip-swapping or something at some point. He’s good, Austin likey. Continue on.
PICK #28: Yellowknife Wraiths - Keane Lover (OL) LON
If Keane Lover is left here then the Wraiths get a break and are allowed to take a needed position. I don’t know the user as well and they haven’t been super active on the tpe front, but an offensive lineman is an offensive lineman and at the ended of the second round the Wraiths get the best one on the board.
My mocks are often mostly wrong and if you are going to criticize what I write then be prepared for rebuttal! But seriously, these mocks are incredibly hard to predict correctly so take everything here with a grain of salt and just go with it.
