Today QB Prospect and DSFL draft hopeful Dustin Parmelee will be fielding questions in his first ever Presser. So without further ado, lets bring out Dustin and get ready to pepper him with some questions. The first question will be coming from Krazo.
Krazo: I have a two-part question. One, Any preference on the team that drafts you? And second, what is your expectation on when you'll be picked?
Honestly, I’m going to be happy no matter where I get selected, so the team really doesn’t matter. However, Ill give you a real answer, instead of a politically correct answer. I want to be selected by Tijuana. They gave me a shot, before anyone else did by scooping me off the waiver wire and they gave me time to learn and observe behind one of he best QB’s in the DSFL. I have a lot to learn, and with someone like ReallyInvisible to learn from, that was just going to be monumental for my growth and development. My expectation is 1st overall…will that happen, Id bet you a year’s salary that it wont, so Ill just tell you somewhere in the first round would match my expectations. Im going to become a force in this league. I have goals of becoming the GOAT, and wont stop until I MET my very own expectations. Being drafted in the 2nd round would be the very latest I will go, but we will see. Im ready to set the DSFL on fire. I am going to have a lot to prove out on that gridiron after draft day, and I cant wait to showcase my talents to whatever team is smart enough to grab me.
The next three questions will come from GuitarMaster116
How was your time with the Luchadores been?
My time with the Luchadores has been amazing, and memorable. Not only did I actually get to see the field and get some playing time in, but they went to the damn Ultimini, where they had a real shot at winning their 9th Championship! Teams with winning traditions like that don’t come around often in football. If you find yourself on one, you soak up all the good vibes and knowledge that you can.
How are you liking the league so far?
Im Loving this league! I really don’t have anything negative to say. The community is amazing, and always willing to help out. I couldn’t tell you how it feels to be in a such a tight nit group. Ive never had that opportunity before, so you know I gravitated towards it and I just hopeful I can get drafted and get my career officially started. This league and its participants are just what I need right now, and Im blessed to be given this opportunity.
Are you excited about the upcoming DSFL Draft?
I don’t know anything else that ive been more excited about than this upcoming draft. The suspense and drawn-out reporting is what you live for. Its exciting man. Truly. Im grateful to be a part of the ceremony and can’t wait to hear my name called. Its going be an amazing moment and memory.
Is Parmesan your favorite cheese?
Actually, I hate Parmesan cheese. Mozzarella though, that’s where its at!
The final set of questions will be coming from Kotasa.
What were you able to take away from your time in Tijuana?
I learned a lot in my time with Tijuana. The way the league is, what is important to work on and what isn’t. I learned how important getting jobs are and how important it is to be a team player and how to be a team leader within the locker room. There was A LOT of positive influences in that locker room. I learned most importantly, how to win ball games, and how true champions conduct their day-to-day business.
What made you want to become a QB?
Ever since Ive been old enough to hold a football, Ive been throwing it! It just came naturally to me to throw a football. As I got older I idolized Peyton Manning and Michael Vick, and just thought how much of a weapon I could be, If I could run like vick and play in the pocket like Manning. Im not the scrambling QB that Vick was, but I think Ive mastered the pocket passing like Manning. Im not going to ask for a lot as QB, but someday Id love to install a no-huddle into my offense and run the plays that I think will work best. Itll take a lot of trust in a coach to allow me to do so, but I think ultimately I will be in that situation.
Anything in the league that you're struggling with?
So far I haven’t found anything that has caused me to struggle within this league. But with that said Ive never started a game in this league. Theres a lot of things left for me to experience, that will allow for more chances of struggle. I hope I never struggle, but eventually it seems inevitable that a struggle or two are expected. I guess I will have to wait and see.
With that Dustin’s Presser is over, Thank you all for participating, and good luck to Mr. Parmelee, for the draft is later this week!
