Hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here to talk about the ISFL season 27 draft. The season 27 draft class had a lot of talent out also had a top 5 pick go shockingly inactive following an apparent major life change. It was also the draft class I was in. It would take a long time to recap the entire draft so I want to go over the major key players from that draft class or at least the ones I remember from that draft class. Hopefully I can remember enough of them to satisfy you and I am sorry if I forget to go over you. And a lot of these players are guys I do not know enough about. Please take a lot if this with a grain of salt as the tracker and draft wiki can only tell you so much. Without any further ado let's begin talking about this draft!
Pick #1 by Honolulu: Eleven Kendrick-Watts aka Numbers
I'd say this was overall a good pick even if he hasn't been called up yet. To be honest I forgot that Honolulu had the first pick here because I am so used to Baltimore having it. But anyways Numbers is insanely active at least in Kansas City when I was in there but I cannot tell if he is active in Honolulu as I am not in that locker room. As a player he has been a huge part of the KCC offense and a consistent receiving threat and was an Ultimini runner up, losing to Dallas in a decent game. He is currently the top earner in his class. Sill need to see what he does in Honolulu but overall really good pick here.
Pick #3 by Philadelphia: Xander Creed aka user Bandit239
There are times when you think you get an amazing user but something happens to them to make them go inactive. And sometimes it is completely out of your control. Bandit unfortunately had something big happen in his life that made him unable to continue with the league. The Liberty are still extremely saddened by this. Hey Bandit even if you do not come back can you at least message us and give some indication that you are alright? We are worrying about you. Unfortunately given that his last visit to the site was in March it does not seem to be possible.
Pick #4 by Berlin: Marlon Brando aka user Menace0528
Home run pick here as Menace aka Blorgl on Discord is an insanely active user who is turning into a cornerstone of the Berlin Fire Salamanders franchise. Blorgl is an absolute treat to be around and I always enjoy my talks with him. He is currently a member of the Berlin War room and you cannot ask much more from a user then he has already done. He also won Defensive Rookie of the Year in this past season and it was absolutely well deserved. He is currently the 3rd most earning player in his class. Overall well deserving of the 4th overall pick.
Pick #6 by San Jose: Duke Cheeks aka user TropicaliaCC
A good pick here even if I don't see him around as much. But to be fair I am not in the San Jose locker room so that could have something to do with it. He's currently the 13th most earning user in the class so it is decent value overall. He has not visited the site in 3 days though apparently.
Pick #10 by Chicago: Madison Hayes aka user sv7en
I know this user mostly from SHL and PBE and I can tell you that Chicago got a winner here. They are insanely huge in SHL where they host a live podcast. The 4th highest earner in the class and the reigning offensive rookie of the year seems like they will be a big part of the Chicago Butchers franchise for a long time. Drafting a user like this with the 10th pick is definitely nothing to sneeze at.
Pick #11 by Baltimore: Maui Waialiki aka user Excelsior
The 5th highest earner of this class is damn good value for the 11th pick. They are currently in the Baltimore war room as well. I may not have interacted with Excelsior lately but I know they are a good user for this mega Baltimore rebuild. Plus getting a good offensive lineman is always going to help the team especially with budgets.
Pick #16 by Philadelphia: Borgo San Lorenzo aka user AgentSmith
I feel like a lot of people know this user. He is an SMJHL GM and I think a simmer for them as well so he is not quite as active in Philadelphia as others but he is still a damn good earner. He is just under Duke Cheeks in the TPE tracker so he is a damn good user and an important part of the Liberty Offense. Sometimes getting users who are good earners but may not be as active is OK as long as you know where they stand.
Pick #30 by Philadelphia: Tsuyu Asui aka WildfireMicro aka me
Yeah I guess I was a huge steal. I am currently the 2nd highest earner in the tracker with almost 700 TPE. I am in the Philadelphia war room. I am insanely active in my opinion. And I think the only reason I was picked this low was that I had previous attitude issues. But I think Philadelphia nailed this picked.
Yeah I know this is not as long as you would think but it was going to be way more high concept but I soon realized that I am not the guy to do that much insane research. Overall the Season 27 draft just doesn't seem to have much depth even if it does have some insanely good and very active users. It also had one of the biggest immediate inactives in history. But in the end I think it worked out in the best way it could. Thank you for reading and I hope to see you all on the field!
