Stewart Hellraiser was born on a farm outside Banff, Alberta on a bright sunny day in the fall. His parents were both ski instructors and world class skiers and were so happy about the new addition to the family. Unfortunately from an early age, Stewart never inherited his parents' passion or skill for skiing. He was a little like a baby deer whenever he tried and generally ended up running into trees.
His parents were determined to find him a sport he could both excel at and would love. Cycling thru sports as a child, his awkwardness hampered any long term success in most sports, although he seemed to be at his best hitting something. Eventually football was tried and it was an immediate fit. Tossing a ball in his direction was always made to look like an easy nab. So wideout was the early decided position.
Stewart punished defenders left and right and very quickly was setting provincial records every season he played. But then during the offseason heading into high school, something unexpected happened...... a massive growth spurt. He grew 6 inches over the winter and showed up to spring camp as a gangly giant compared to his peers. The gain in height was just another advantage he used to terrorize opposing defenses.
Heading into the offseason before his final high school year, Stewart's coach approached him an interesting idea. Gaining muscle to play tight end. The move would help him in his senior year, but would also increase his value towards American colleges. While he was unsure at first, he eventually relented and hit the gym with a fervour he hadn't had before. And the colleges did come looking and there were a lot of them. Over 25 different schools from the western US came to see him play and make their offers. Eventually Stew settled on Oregon as he loved the idea of being close to home and the 1,000,001 uniform combinations they offered. How can you refuse?
Well it was a match made in heaven from the get go. Herllraiser was just that as a Duck and paved the way for several 1000 yard runningbacks as well as made himself a very scary target for the quarterbacks he played with. 3 National Champiosnhips later and a couple All-American selections later, he is ready to make his first steps into pro football. He is currently patiently awaiting his first assignment in the DFSL
