Welcome to The Juice is Loose, this is the story of my career and I will be bring all you along with me. I have full confidence in my abilities and think I can easily go down as the WR of the future. In this series ill make friends, and most likely enemies. First, some things to know about me. My name is Bradley Welch and I am currently a WR on the London Royals of the DSFL. I am a fast guy who likes to work hard and spend time with friends and family. I have been playing football my whole life and have turned to it when life gets hard, it is my safe place and where all hell can break loose. Now on with Episode 1.
It is the day of my rookie Debut in the DSFL and i cant wait any longer. I have been looking forward to this moment for a very long time and have been training very hard to make sure i am ready. Yesterday i was out on the field with Dustin Parmalee (My QB) and Savior Hawkins (CB on my team, and very close friend) doing some field work since it is all of our debuts the next day. We ran some 1v1s ,did many drills, and played some fun games in between. This morning i was up at 3:00 am to get ready and prepared both mentally and physically. But before i started my day I made a post to Twitter( here ) and Instagram( @isflbradleywelch ). I went to the weight room and worked out for a few hours. I did some running, bench, and I did some reaction and speed drills, then I called up Parm for some work on the field. This kid is the best QB in this league and you cant change my mind on that, he was dropping dimes and throwing some missiles right at the sideline for me. Tonight we will show this connection in our first game. After we finish some needed practice and work we decide to play around and play a little 3 on 3 game with some kids we saw at the park. This helped Parm and i make sure we were ready for the game and work on our connections while still having some fun and getting to know some new people. When I'm done messing around with Parm, I head over and hang out with Saviour. Savior and I have been on the same team since college, so we have developed a high end friendship and rivalry. We watch some TV and just rest till about 3:00, which is when we get up and head over to the stadium to get ready for the game. Its an away game in Minnesota so the crowd is filled with blue and grey . But there was a lot of Royals Fans in attendance as well, especially for an away game. While Savior, Parm, the rest of the team and I are in the locker room, we start talking about our pre-game jitters and debut jitters. Lucid walks in and help us clam down by telling us about his first game. When i walk out of the tunnel for warm-ups, is when it finally hits me how crazy and important this is to me. I've been dreaming of this moment my whole life and i cant wait to take this league by storm and become the future of this league. Since I am part of the Special teams as well i am one of the first out of the tunnel so i can get my return game ready. I love getting to return kicks and punts because i can really show my speed and agility when weaving through people on my way to the endzone. When I'm feeling ready i head back into the locker room to see the boys and get my final equipment on. Finally it is time for the team to runout of the tunnel. Parm, Savior, and i are so pumped I'm sure the top deck could feel our energy as we are running out of the tunnel trying to hype up the London fans. Parm, The other WRs and I do some practicing as 8:00 nears, and I watch as the Ducks do the same thing on their side of the field. We sing the National Anthem, and line up for Kickoff. Finally, its game time and the ball is kicked. On my first career kick return I got tackled after 12 yards. I get so hyped, and get ready for my first snap in The DSFL.I had a very good first career game with 5 receptions for 94 yards and 1 TD. That TD was a 41 yard bomb. I even had a pancake!! Unfortunately we couldn't get the ball moving to well. When the final second ticks off the clock i am very sad because we lost. But i am also happy because i just finished my first career game and i played well. When i get back to my room i check league leaders and i see that i m actually 5th in the league in yards and tied 3rd in the league in TDs!! This makes me feel a lot better because i know that i will have much better games and show this league who really am.
Thank you all for tuning in to this episode, your task this time is, should i go practice with Savior, or should i practice with Parm. Or should i go make a new friend or enemy? If you choose friend or enemy, then reply who it should be.
