2x Media Voucher Claim
I’m writing this article for 2 reasons. The first is, obviously, I need the money from a large article with a 2x media bonus. The second, is that I feel like I don’t know my team well enough, and neither does the league. I get the feeling like the general perception of the Liberty is that they’re one of the bottom tier teams, still working through a rebuild, and nothing to be worried about in any particular matchup. While the team is young, we shouldn’t be ignored, so I’m shedding some light on us to make sure we get the recognition we deserve. This will be my general take on the users, the players, and what they both bring to the team. This is not a ranking, outside of just sorting by TPE (as pulled on May 27). I'm also not going to look at the Philadelphia Prospects, this is current roster only.
@J0EB - S22 - Matt "Son of Havoc" Cross - Safety - Ball Hawk - 1153 TPE
Joe is one of the hearts of the Liberty locker room, seemingly always available and willing to shoot the shit with whoever happens to be around, and his efforts have earned him the Defensive “Liberty Leader Award” for Season 28. He's made the locker room a warm and inviting place for not only me, but whoever happens to be around whenever he is. He also leads the team in TPE by a decently large margin, and makes up one half of the “Bell Bros” backfield for the Liberty. He’s a terror for opposing offenses, as last season he racked up 84 tackles, 4 sacks, 3 interceptions, and 9 passes defended, even taking one of his interceptions back for a pick 6. As a S22 player, he’s right on the edge of regression, but he’ll still be a part of an incredible secondary in the seasons to come.
@"ShnarlyDude" - S25 - Gary Goodman - Linebacker - Pass Rusher - 1040 TPE
ShnarlyDude, or Cody, is one of the GMs in Philly, and this team would be in a very different place without the work that he and Punter715 (Pat) have put in over the past couple of seasons. He’s also the one who hosts the “Hungy Games” in the Discord, something which has drawn the attention of many users not even on the team. Not only has he helped revive the LR from (what I’ve heard) a not great place to be, he’s helping lead the team as one of their premiere pass rushers. With a total of 89 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 6 forced fumbles (2 recovered), 14 sacks, 3 passes defended and an interception, Goodman can do it all, being a menace in the offensive backfield as well as making sure the ball doesn’t get to its intended target. As a S25 player, he’s still got a few seasons before regression hits, so look for him to continue to be a force to be reckoned with.
@"Punter715" - S25 - Doy Fieri - Cornerback - Cover Corner - 1032 TPE
The other GM of the Liberty is not to be ignored. Punter715, also known as Pat, has been an incredible presence in the team locker room. He’s encouraged me to write some media, as I’m sure he’s done for others, as a way to make sure that I stay involved (which is super helpful as I’m often more taken up by the SHL). Not only is he a part of the process in bringing Philly into the realms of competitiveness, he’s part of the defense that is going to make Philly a true terror in the seasons to come. In S28, he had 80 tackles, 1 forced fumble and a fumble recovery, 1 sack, 3 interceptions, and 22 passes defended, as well as a defensive touchdown. Not only did he play corner, but he was used as a Kick Returner as well, with 13 kick returns and an incredibly impressive average of 30.8 yards.
@Jimi64 - S25 - Jimi DeSoto - Linebacker - Coverage LB - 1000 TPE
The Philly locker room would be completely different if Jimi wasn’t a part of it. He always seems to be around, taking part in conversations, helping the rookies, and just generally being a great all around dude. DeSoto is the other half of the Bell Bros, being a steadfast presence in the Liberty secondary alongside Matt Cross. Not only is he the Captain of the defense, DeSoto managed to amass 99 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries, 5 sacks, 2 interceptions, 11 passes defended, and a defensive touchdown. He really only has room to grow with this defense, and his leadership on and off the field is one of the things I like most about being a part of the Liberty.
@209tacos - S25 - Tex Wrecks - Defensive End - Power Rusher - 997 TPE
Tacos is the Liberty’s resident graphics wizard. He not only manages to support himself though a sig shop, but he regularly drops some of the most amazing sigs I’ve ever seen in ISFL in the graphics channel in the locker room. His work isn’t just noticeable in the locker room, as he’s also the teams leading Defensive End. His work in S28 was impressive, with 49 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery, 13 sacks, and 1 safety. The defensive line of the Liberty, as well as the sigs of users around the league, would look a lot different without the presence of tacos and Wrecks.
@charlit - S25 - Killian Chambers - Wide Receiver - Slot Receiver - 927 TPE
Charlit is someone who I haven’t really gotten to know all that well in the locker room, and while they’re not super active in there, Killian Chamber is the top Liberty receiver. In a season where Philly leaned heavily on their rushing attack, Chambers still managed to acquire 101 receptions, 1174 yards, and 6 touchdowns. Now that the run game isn’t as strong due to some retirements and call-ups, Chambers is going to be relied upon pretty heavily, so look for his numbers to only go up from last year.
@jzajenius36 - S25 - Honky-Tonk Haywood - Defensive Tackle - Interior Rusher - 918 TPE
Jzajenius36 is a locker room lurker, so I haven’t really gotten to know him at all. As the team's leading Defensive Tackle, he’s one of the most important pieces of the Defensive Line, and last season he made his presence known, getting 26 tackles, 3 sacks, and probably most impressively, a blocked punt. While these stats aren’t all that flashy (aside from that punt block), we all know how important a strong Interior Rusher is, and already this season he’s amassed 24 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 1 sack in just 4 games. I would like to think that this trend continues, and we’ll see Haywood lead our defensive line to greatness in the coming seasons.
@negs - S26 - Ryan Negs - Quarterback - Gunslinger - 855 TPE
Negs is a familiar face in the locker room, as he’s frequently around and is always a pleasure to talk with. The starting QB of the Liberty had a pretty rough rookie season, with a 13/14 touchdown to interception ratio, a 67.9% completion rate, and a QB rating of 83.6. He didn’t let this (or the fact that he was sacked 42 times) get him down, and he’s already trending upwards this season. The Philly front office has put a large part of the Philly offence in the hands of Negs, and I don’t think he’ll let them or the rest of the team down as he continues to grow into his role.
@xenosthelegend - S25 - Jake Fencik - Kicker/Punter - Accurate - 850 TPE
Xenos is always hanging around the locker room, willing to talk to anyone and offer advice and friendship to whoever joins the discord. His presence, as well as the performance as Jake Fencik, the kicker and punter for Philadelphia, earned him the prestigious Offensive “Liberty Leader Award” in Season 28. His kicking stats were impressive: 41/42 extra points, 27/30 field goals, and he was perfect inside 39 yards. Punting wise, he was equally impressive, with 3323 yards on 21 punts, with an average of 46.8 yards and a long of 67 yards. Fencik is a staple on the Philly offense and in the locker room, and I’m sure the front office is as happy to have him around as the rest of the team.
@Hordle - S26 - Alexander Franklin - Offensive Line - Athletic Lineman - 752 TPE
Hordle. The Frog Man. The rock of the Philadelphia offensive line. Not much needs to be said about one of the most well known and well liked users on the site. He’s a joy to have around in the locker room, and it’s rare, if ever, that I hear anything negative said about him. Franklin, like I said, is the centerpiece of the offensive line in Philly, and his 70 pancakes and only 2 sacks allowed last season is incredible, and he’s on track to blow those stats out of the water this season, with 39 pancakes and 0 sacks allowed in just 4 games this season. Negs is lucky to have someone as dedicated as Franklin protecting him, and the Liberty are just as lucky to have been able to bring him in a few seasons ago.
@WildfireMicro - S27 - Tsuyu Asui - Wide Receiver - Possession Receiver - 702 TPE
Micro is one of the brightest stars both on and off the field for Philadelphia. Always around and willing to talk, he’s an incredible locker room presence who earned a well deserved captaincy spot for this season and leads the receiving corps across the field from Chambers. Asui, a spunky frog super heroine, is a blur on the field, weaving around defenders and using her frog-like abilities to help the Liberty move down the field like a well-oiled machine. A decent rookie season saw her bring in 64 catches for 626 yards and 2 touchdowns, numbers she’s looking to blow by this season now that Philly is leaning more on the passing game and that she’s had a chance to grow alongside Negs for a season.
@juniped - S21 - Flash Panda - Wide Receiver - Speed Receiver - 666 TPE
Juni is one of the older players on the Liberty roster, but that doesn’t mean that he plays any less of an important role. Juni is usually around the locker room, and is normally good for a laugh and some decent conversation. Last season, the Liberty relied heavily on Panda when they were passing the ball, and he hauled in 80 catches for 959 yards and 2 touchdowns. Where Panda really shone, though, is in the return game, where he amassed 746 yards on 25 returns for an average of almost 30 yards per return, as well as a 102 yard walk-off kickoff return against the Butchers to win in the last second.
@AgentSmith - S27 - Borgo San Lorenzo - Tight End - Vertical Threat - 618 TPE
Hey, it’s me! I’m definitely not as active in the Liberty locker room as I could be, and that's part of why I felt this article was a good idea. The ISFL isn’t my main sim league, but that doesn’t mean I should be ignoring my teammates. San Lorenzo had a pretty quiet rookie season, but that’s not all that surprising, as he played second Tight End fiddle on a team that was more run heavy in the first place. Only 352 yards on 53 catches isn’t too impressive, though this season is already on pace to crush the yardage number, as he had over 100 yards receiving in just the first game. Here’s hoping I can turn Borgo into the star I know he can be.
@bluesfan55 - S25 - Anders Christiansen - Running Back - Speed Back - 615 TPE
Bluesfan55 is someone I know from the SHL, even though we don’t interact all that often over there or here in the ISFL. He’s usually around the Liberty locker room and seems like a pretty great guy from what I’ve seen of him. He’s being put in a bit of a tight spot on the field this season, with Negs and the receiving corps really coming into their own, and the retirement of Darrel Williams, Christianson has both had some pressure taken off and added on, stepping into the RB1 role on a team likely to lean more heavily on the passing game this season. He started 11 of 16 games last season, and was able to grab 1055 rushing yards on 206 attempts (5.1 yard average), as well as 119 yards on 18 catches, showing that he’s got decent flexibility when it comes to offensive options. I’m excited to see what he can do as he grows further into the RB1 role.
@Briedaqueduc - S21 - Simon Tremblay - Offensive Line - Athletic Lineman - 607 TPE
Briedaqueduc is a sim league veteran, known both here and in the SHL as a user who is willing to put his all into the experience. While it seems that he’s a little bit more involved with his player over in the SHL, he’s constantly around in the Philadelphia locker room, making friends and being an all-around great guy. Tremblay is an anchor on the offensive line, putting up 106 pancakes and only 1 sack allowed on the season last season, so even if he’s not the highest TPE, he’s an absolute monster on the line. Playing alongside Franklin, the human part of the Philadelphia offensive line looks incredible.
@kingsleigher - S25 - James Hoffman - Cornerback - Physical Corner - 552 TPE
Kingsleigher isn’t around the locker room all that often, so I haven’t really gotten the opportunity to interact with him at all. He plays as a cornerback for us, likely playing the opposite side of the field from Doy Fieri. Last season, he had 74 tackles, 13 passes defended, 2 interceptions, a defensive touchdown, 3 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries. While he’s a relatively slow earner, he holds his own, doing his best to be a part of one of the brightest defenses of the future.
@bigbluex02 - S24 - Thomas Rose - Linebacker - Pass Rusher - 533 TPE
Bigblue is another multi-league user that I recognize from the SHL, though he’s been pretty quiet in the Philadelphia locker room for quite a while. From what I can tell, some real life things have taken away his time to spend with sim leagues, which is totally understandable, and we can only hope that things are going well for him. Thomas Rose is part of the linebacker corps for Philly, built for more of a pass rush archetype than a ball hawker or run stopper. Last season, he racked up 98 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 sack, and 8 passes defended. With those stats, down from the season before in everything except tackles and passes defended, it seems like the coaching staff are willing to flex him into multiple spots to fill the gaps. I’m looking forward to seeing how he turns out this year as the Liberty defense starts to come into their own.
@xtitanxmvpx - S28 - Xavier Walls - Linebacker - Pass Rusher - 523 TPE
Xtitanxmvpx is a staple in the Liberty locker room, always seeming to be around and contributing to whatever conversation may be happening at the time. I’ve really enjoyed all my interactions with him, and I look forward to spending more time getting to know him in the future. Xavier Walls is a rising star in the linebacker position for the Liberty, and so far in his rookie season, has amassed 27 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 3 passes defended and an interception in just 4 games so far. The front office has done an excellent job building up the defense, and Walls is going to be a very important piece of that in the coming seasons.
@Ace - S28 - C.J. Sonjack - Cornerback - Cover Corner - 488 TPE
Ace is someone I know really well, and who is well known, from the SHL, and I’m really glad I get to share a locker room with him here in the ISFL. He’s extremely dedicated to the team and to his player, and he’s always asking for advice on how to best help the team with his updates. His presence in the locker room is always a positive, and I’m glad the front office brought up Sonjack, his player, after he had an award winning season down in the DSFL. He’s currently playing as the 3rd corner on the roster and has only started in one game so far, but that hasn’t stopped him from having 7 tackles and 3 passes defended in just that one start. I’m looking forward to him growing to the point of taking over for the inactive James Hoffman and becoming one of the best cover corners in the league in a few seasons.
@Amulos - S28 - Romulus Roman - Safety - Enforcer - 457 TPE
Amulos is another rookie on the field this season, but it feels like he’s been a part of the locker room for as long as I’ve been in there, even though he was a season behind my draft class. I enjoy interacting with him whenever he’s around, and his position as the starting strong safety for the Liberty has shown that the front office and coaching staff feel the same way. So far in his rookie season, Roman has 8 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 2 sacks, and 1 pass defended. While his stat line isn’t super impressive right now, he’s part of a defensive secondary that’s still coming into their own. Look for him to really make an impact in the coming seasons as he learns how to play well with the rest of the defense and grows into his role as a true enforcer.
@Brucehum - S22 - Nuniq Annastesia - Defensive Tackle - Interior Rusher - 436 TPE
Brucehum is another inactive player that hasn’t been around the locker room at all recently. He was actually an acquisition this offseason, playing all 16 games last season for Baltimore, with a total of 42 tackles and 3 tackles for loss. He seems like he’s a stopgap player for Philly for now, holding the Interior rusher position until the front office can bring up a prospect to take over.
@Exilate - S28 - Lonnie Jackson - Running Back - Speed Back - 428 TPE
Exilate is someone who always seems to be around in the locker room, making the place more friendly and welcoming to anyone who is around. I’ve really enjoyed my limited interaction with them, and they’re also a multi-league user, currently tearing it up in the SMJHL as a winger for the Carolina Kraken. Jackson is a rookie running back this season for the Liberty, playing behind Anders Christianson but still seeing a decent amount of touches. Starting 2 out of 4 games for the Liberty, Jackson has managed a decent 241 yards on 62 attempts (3.9 yard average), and 2 touchdowns. I’m really looking forward to seeing this running back duo grow together to become an incredible 1-2 punch for our backfield.
@Roezam - S25 - Sam Roes - Defensive End - Power Rusher - 390 TPE
Roezam is one of the only inactive parts of the Philadelphia defensive front, and he’s only there temporarily while the team waits for more growth from their prospects. He’s not in the locker room either (from what I can tell), which isn’t all that surprising since he hasn’t been on the site since November of last year. Roes only started 9 of 16 games, and recorded 14 tackles and 2 sacks on the season. For being a filler, he played alright, but I’m excited to see how the team is able to replace him in the coming seasons.
@Nictox - S24 - Macaroni “Mac” Elephant - Offensive Line - Mauler - 319 TPE
I know Nictox from the SHL, as he was, up until recently, one of my fellow co-GMs. He’s a great guy, and always a pleasure to talk to. He’s not active in the locker room at this point, and according to the TPE Tracker, he hasn’t been on the site since January, so it’s pretty safe to say that he’s inactive. With 74 pancakes and only 3 sacks allowed last season, he’s still a pretty good piece on the offensive line, it’s just a shame that he’s not going to get any better anytime soon.
@musha6570 - S29 - Chevvy Bronko - Tight End - Vertical Threat - 306 TPE
Musha is the youngest player on the team, having just been drafted this season and immediately called up to help fill the gap left by retiring Tight End Dave Batista. From what I’ve seen, the front office nailed this pick, as musha has been nothing buut great in the locker room ever since joining as a prospect. Because he’s a rookie, he doesn’t have stats from last season, but he’s already got 2 catches for 24 yards in the first 2 games. Since Philly is relying more heavily on their passing game this season, it makes sense to bring in another Vertical Threat Tight End to pair up with San Lorenzo, so we’ll hopefully see the pair become some of the more dangerous weapons in the league.
@iamslm22 - S19 - Avon Blocksdale Jr. - Tight End - Possession TE - 183 TPE
Iamslm22 is the third TE and lowest TPE player on the roster. I have a feeling that even if he fights regression as hard as possible, he’s close to aging out of the league and being forced to recreate. I know of slm from the SHL, but we haven’t really interacted all that much, and he’s pretty quiet in the Liberty locker room nowadays. Blocksdale was the 3rd string Tight End last season as well, only starting 4 of the 16 games and having 116 yards on 16 catches, as well as 10 pancakes. I can’t imagine that he’ll play much of a role this season either, with both San Lorenzo and Bronko in front of him, but it’s always good to respect the old guard as much as possible.
The Philadelphia Liberty are poised to be a dominant team in the next few seasons, and I'm looking forward to being a part of the team that can hopefully bring home the Ultimus trophy in the near future!
I’m writing this article for 2 reasons. The first is, obviously, I need the money from a large article with a 2x media bonus.
@bluesfan55 - S25 - Anders Christiansen - Running Back - Speed Back - 615 TPE
@Briedaqueduc - S21 - Simon Tremblay - Offensive Line - Athletic Lineman - 607 TPE
@kingsleigher - S25 - James Hoffman - Cornerback - Physical Corner - 552 TPE
@bigbluex02 - S24 - Thomas Rose - Linebacker - Pass Rusher - 533 TPE
@xtitanxmvpx - S28 - Xavier Walls - Linebacker - Pass Rusher - 523 TPE
@Ace - S28 - C.J. Sonjack - Cornerback - Cover Corner - 488 TPE
@Amulos - S28 - Romulus Roman - Safety - Enforcer - 457 TPE
@Brucehum - S22 - Nuniq Annastesia - Defensive Tackle - Interior Rusher - 436 TPE
@Exilate - S28 - Lonnie Jackson - Running Back - Speed Back - 428 TPE
@Roezam - S25 - Sam Roes - Defensive End - Power Rusher - 390 TPE
@Nictox - S24 - Macaroni “Mac” Elephant - Offensive Line - Mauler - 319 TPE
@musha6570 - S29 - Chevvy Bronko - Tight End - Vertical Threat - 306 TPE
@iamslm22 - S19 - Avon Blocksdale Jr. - Tight End - Possession TE - 183 TPE
