Last year the ASFC Champion Arizona Outlaws and NSFC Champion Colorado Yeti battled it out for the Ultimus. As the year is coming to the midway point, both teams are still very much in the hunt. The Orange County and Yellowknife Wraiths are jostling for the top spot, while the two expansion teams, Las Vegas Legion and Philadelphia Liberty both continue to struggle. With great play by the San Jose Sabercats and Baltimore Hawks, nobody is sure who is going to make the playoffs.
For me, I see Mike Boss and Logan Noble swapping powers like in Space Jam. Noble will finish this season with a worse Touchdown to Interception ratio, while Season One MVP snub, Chris Orosz will squeak by and finish with the most Passing Yards and Touchdowns.
The Yeti and Otters will both be left out of running for the Ultimus, and we will see Arizona right back in the same spot. The Ultimus game this season will be the Baltimore Hawks versus the Arizona Outlaws in a game where the best defense in the league will go up against the best offense. In the Ultimus game, the Number One Offense won't score more than one Offensive Touchdown, and will gain most of their points through the leg of their Kicker.
There's two bold predictions. 218 words.
