What's up GQ this is Dominos Pizzaman of the Bondi Beach Buccaneers , ISFL first round pick, and the future defensive tackle for Orange County Otters , and this is how I spent my first million.

I'm from Louisville, Kentucky. Growing up, I just wanted to be playing either football, or be a master pizza chef, yeah kind of ironic but hey, if the shoe fits right?
My dad was a player for the Tampa Bay Storm, an arena football team, back in their hay-day in the early 2000’s.So, you know, I would be at a lot of those games and a few championship games at a young age, like five years old, it was just like a home for me. When I got to be in college I really liked my local school Papa John’s University, it was a no-brainer for me to go there.
There definitely was doubts my freshman year, I actually ended up not playing very much and red-shirting my sophomore year. So from there on, I just put my head down and grind. Never stopped.
When draft day came it was really special, having all of my family around me ,all of the people that supported me my whole life, to congratulate me and cheer me on. It was a really great experience when my name got called, and I was finally able to meet my new team and GMs.
To go from a broke college kid that don't really buy much, lives off ramen and cold pizza, and then, you know, have millions of dollars in his bank account, its crazy how much your mind changes and the urges you get to blow it all on something stupid like a gym membership or something. I have a solid family to guide me through all of that- my Dad, although much less volume, went through the same thing kind of balancing football life, money and supporting a family and he gave me some great advice.
I went back to some of my college classmates and hired my accounting partner in auditing, Dylan Burrito as my financial advisor. One of my good high school friends Tony Smoltz as my lawyer on retainer and hired my best friend and roommate Vincent Quigley as my barber, body guard and personal shopper.

Okay. We talked about how we made and saved my money. Now let's talk about how I spend my money. I definitely have to get a little fun for the offseason and after practice I would say hmmm...About 10k on a new entertainment setup, top of the line PC, PS5, surround sound, Bose sound system. I had had someone from Orange County hook me up, they call him The Wizard, he helped out a lot of guys on the squad and I know he knows his stuff and can create a great space for me to chill out. I love listening to music so this was a big thing for me. My whole life I was listening on like $50 max headphones and not really hearing the full spectrum of sound of the music or shows and it makes a huge difference when you have that surround sound setup- definitely recommend for all you audiophiles.
Moving from living down under in Bondi over to Orange County, really not much changed weather wise but I still had to flex a little bit now that I’m in Cali hahah. I definitely had to grab some more shoes, Yeezys, some Balenciaga, grab some more nice jeans and stuff like that. So, my sister is actually studying fashion design at Louisville University and is a really big street fashion fan. So, she helped me out bigtime with some outfits and, you know, gave me some tips on what looks good and what don't look good. I have to say, I spent about like $15K.
I never really liked to shop that much growing up. I didn't really have like a whole bunch of clothes, I mostly played football, baseball, did some track and field stuff.. So as long as I got some football cleats, some baseball gloves, you know all those sports accessories I was good to go Clothing. $15K.

As soon as I figured out I was going to be in the first round, I definitely had my eyes on a Pontiac Bonneville white convertible, for a long time and that was about… hmm after all the re-tuning and refurbishing About $65k all-in. I like cars. I like old classic cars. I always wanted to add the Bonneville I had to. That was a must. I bought it in decent but not super great shape, and I really wanted to bring it back to life to how it would look way back in the day. So I gave it a new paint job, fire-engine red, and rehauled the engine, suspension, new wheels, the whole nine. So yeah all in all the Bonneville was around 65k
After that, I bought a lot of paintings. I learned from my Mom about the value of artwork and how aesthetically pleasing and mood changing it can be to look at. The number one rule she taught me is don't follow the hype and just buy what makes you happy or gives you joy. If the value goes up that's great but if not it should be something you like to have and look at each day. I’m very interested in photography so I bought some really amazing pieces from a few of my favorite artists, Chris Maggio, and Jaime Lee Curtis, as well as Rolando Pujol. I knew some of their work would be hard to acquire but the Maggio pieces were a must.
The best piece I got was probably the “kid on the swing” original from his “Scenes from the last day on planet earth” collection. I bought a few but that one is one hundred percent my favorite. That's only the start. It's only going to get bigger and bigger, better and better. Artwork. $20K.

Christmas! Christmas, well this kind of goes back a little to bit to some of my DSFL contract but who’s counting/keeping track haha. Probably a total of probably like 15 grand. My family doesn't ask for a lot, but I had to show love! I got my mom some nice jewelry and her favorite perfume, but there were a lot of people on my nice list so I spoiled a lot of my extended family a bit you know,
jerseys, tickets, on field passes, suites, the whole 9 for anyone who wanted or asked. Me getting drafted, me having a pretty decent DSFL season, It was pretty much everybody's Christmas.
Once I got the call, I started looking at real estate in Cali and my jaw dropped at the interest rates yeesh, but I finally settled on a nice ranch house in Orange County. I was thinking about renting a nice condo or apartment but heck I had the cheddar might as well invest and get some equity that I can move around later.. So I bought a place pretty close to some of my teammates and it was definitely nice to have them close to hang out and keep me training! $405,000 for the new crib.
After I bought the house it was bare bones so I did most of my own interior design, I knew I wanted a really nice basement, and that is really where I spend most of my time, I mentioned earlier the very first things I bought were some items for my pad, and I put that almost all in the basement. On top of that I had a master train set designer outfit a room in my basement with a dope set-up. I’ve always loved trains. All the stuff on the top floor is boring, queen bed, nice sectional the usual, nothing to note up there hahaha.
