ISFL Players
DSFL Players
Welcome everyone to my article in which I will be looking at the players who currently plays on an ISFL or DSFL team and who's birthplace would place them as a member for the Team World team in the World Football Championships that have just been announced. Going through this list I realised that a ton of people do not bother to put down a place of birth. Which is on one hand fair, because birthplace really did not matter before this tournament besides as a luxury in articles talking about where players are from. On the other hand, it is nice world building to actually put down where your player is from. However luckily for team world is that they can assurp all those players without a birthplace and claim them as their own. The biggest weakness for Team World could face is that all those players who are currently listed as N/A might see the need to transfer out to other teams, as they had no choice in their national team now. Hopefully they stick around as we need you <3. Shout out to the 12 players in the ISFL and 9 players in the DSFL on this roster who all came from n/a as they had no place of birth put down. Besides n/a the other biggest providers of players were Mexico (5), Hell (2), Hospital (2) an players born at sea (2). How many players actually came from real places? 15 players from the 64 listed.
If I was the current Team World manager the team would look something like this.
MAX: 2 QBs - Ben Slothlisberger, Monterey "Monty" Jack (2)
MAX: 2 RBs - Mike Rotchburns, Tron Carter (2)
MAX: 1 FB - (0)
MAX: 4 WR - Jackson Kingston, Eleven Kendrick-Watts, Brock Bodenhamer, Thomas Passmann (4)
MAX: 2 TE - Frank Michell, Bobby Tarantina (2)
MAX: 5 OL - Ananda Adyan, Stumpy Jones, Thad Pennington Jr., Maiteers Rico-Shea, Ne Mo (5)
MAX: 3 DE - Son Goku, Tex Wrecks, Etrigan T. Slayer (3)
MAX: 3 DT - Lebong Simwell, Primo Berto, Prof. Godfrey Gravity (3)
MAX: 5 LB - Melvin Murder-Moose, Adélie de Pengu, Alejandro Chainbreaker, Bender Rodriguez, Marcus Jones (5)
MAX: 3 CB - Albert Ruschmann, Davriel Lavigne, Doy Fieri (3)
MAX: 3 S - Cuco Clemente, Evan Jones, SparkySparky Boom-Man (3)
MAX 1 P - Rainbow Dash (1)
MAX: 1 K - Freddy Bly Jr. (1)
Looking at the team we have one paper, we can see some glaring holes presenting themselves. First the quarterbacks are getting up there in age both being from the 22th season of the league. Both heading into deep regression and will likely retire soon. There is no real replacement option available. The closest option is IsHe... ReallyInvisible who is currently inactive, but was recently enough that they could come back, but would have to put in the world to make up ground. This is a position in dire need of some options. A transfer will likely be needed if the team wants to be competitive after jack and Slothlisberger are gone. Running back has a very shallow pool, but the options there are not bad. Rotchburns will likely be the heavy duty man with Tron Carter there to relieve some pressure. 0 runningbacks are there to fill the need for a full back, F in chat for full backs. Wide receiver has some nice depth with more on the way in the DSFL. Michell will likely get the start in most postions as the better of the two Tight Ends, however there is room for some two tight end shenanigans if both of them keep earning. The OL position gives us a ton of options and we capitalize on those by fielding 5 human offensive lineman who will take on the heavy duty of keeping the opposing defense away from the quarterback and provide blocks for runners.
Moving on to defense, Son Goku and Tex Wrecks provide a killer defensive end line and with Slayer in the wings to provide rotation DE is one of the stronger positions on the team. For the defensive tackle positon we have to dig deep and bring up the second DSFL option with Prof. Godfrey Gravity. Sadly both him and Berto are currently IA leaving Defensive Tackle as one of the more vulnerable positions on the team together with quarterback. The team has to look to boost this number up with either transfers or hoping for new creates. Linebacker is another position that is looking kinda stacked at the moment with some great options and might be the best position on the team TPE wise. Speaking of TPE cornerbacks are next and that is another position that provides too many great players. With 4 1K+ TPE option players on the list it will be a hard choice who to bring along as all four of those options and even those behind them are deserving to come along. Safety will be lead by Cuco Clemente with Jones and Boom-Man following.
Lastly the special team with the punter and kicker. This position is not looking to hot. There are two active kickers on the squad but both are in the lower TPE ends, however they are young and active so can work on growing those numbers and proving solid kick coverage for the team.
I am very much looking forward to the World Football Championship and hope it is a fun time for all those involved. It provides some great entertainment in the offseason and it gives players something to build towards. Hopefully we will see less N/A people in the future and they choose to rep actual places and hopefully those places will be part of team world (:
