Has there ever been a Mr. Irrelevant that found success in the ISFL? If so, what position did they play and who did they play for? These are the questions that will be answered.
S1 - Wes Washington WR
In S1 Washington played 14 games for the Outlaws and recorded 6 catches for 64 yards and 1 touchdown. S2 would be his final season in the ISFL. He played 9 games for the Liberty catching 9 balls for 61 yards. (You can stop reading here because nobody else on this list has ever played an ISFL game.)
S2 - Jack Vanderjagt K
I could not find any recorded kicks or punts for this unfortunate soul. Sources say he drank himself into oblivion.
S3 - Victor DeMar WR
Demar never made it into an ISFL game. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison for gang related crimes.
S4 - Brent Lane K
This kicker was the final pick in the comically small season 4 draft. He was chosen by the defunct Las Vegas Legion as the 18th player selected. Sadly he was not able to put his talents to use in any games. Lane became a degenerate gambler.
S5 - John Mueller K
This kicker was never called upon. A mountain lion attacked his leg during a hike.
S6 - Deez Nutts DL
Nutts was not good enough to earn any playing time. He became a mainstay at McDonalds and became morbidly obese.
S7 - Lucas Hendricks WR
Zero recorded stats for Hendricks. He couldn’t even catch a cold.
S8 - Klaus Derfisch K
Didn’t see any recorded kicks or punts for Klaus. He was deported back to Germany.
S9 - Deangelo Warren WR
No stats accumulated for Warren. He became lost at season on a Tuna fishing boat.
S10 - Con Nair CB
Con Nair did not play any ISFL games but may be the most successful person on this list. He went on and created a company that specialized in health and beauty products.
S11 - Berrell Trister WR
Another WR that didn’t make the roster cut. After failing in football he moved onto a local frisbee golf league.
S12- Thomas Nova WR
Although there wasn’t any ISFL success for Nova, he found his niche in the adult film industry.
S13 - Eric McStrong DL
Not even with a name like that could he crack an ISFL lineup. When it looked like he had zero future in the ISFL he became a professional wrestler.
S14 - James Andrews DL
I briefly got excited here as there was a successful “J. Andrews” that played CB for NOLA. But it wasn’t the J. Andrews I was looking for. That was the closest James ever got to an ISFL playing field.
S15 - Taters Johnson CB
Immediately after being drafted he left the ISFL and went back to the family farm.
S16 - Blaster Blade Jr. LB
Blade Jr. had a father that was somewhat successful in the ISFL. Unfortunately talent skipped a generation and little Jr. couldn’t even make it onto the field.
S17 - Darius Ruckerberg K
Ruckerberg never had any intentions on playing in the ISFL. Thanks to early investments in bitcoin, he was able to live a lavish life with his millions.
S18 - Dave Anima K
As you can see, the kicking/punting fraternity is tough to crack in the ISFL. You have to be a hard worker for a team to give you a chance. Anima wasn’t that.
S19 - Left Toenail K
Another last pick kicker who didn’t play a game. He was kidnapped by the Mexican cartel and had his, you guessed it, left toenail pulled out with a pair of pliers.
S20 - Emilio Cortez WR
Cortez never made it in the ISFL, but what is really impressive is he never even played in a DSFL game! When I made the draft page for his class I found that very odd at the time. Any info on him would be appreciated.
S21 - Buster Hyman QB
A last pick in the draft QB making it to the ISFL would be equivalent to a kitten engineering a nuclear weapon.
S22 - Dan Jackson S
Jackson was the last pick in the biggest draft class in ISFL history. As the 284th player selected it would have been a miracle to see him on an ISFL field.
S23 - Chaz Michaels S
Chaz’s only success in life came as a pickup artist at weddings and funerals.
S24 - Jay McCowski DL
McCowski is currently in the final year of his career. To this day he is still trying to fight for playing time.
S25 - Trent Blackburn QB
Blackburn is retired but at least he cared enough to create a wiki page.
S26 - Tater Tosser WR
The second Mr. Irrelevant with the name Tater, incredible.
S27 - Joe Bay WR
Bay never played but had 192 TPE as the last pick. Researching more into this it seems as though off the field concerns and a retirement cause his stock to fall.
S28 - Archie Griffin RB
Griffin had some potential showing effort with activity checks and ultimus week. He is oddly on the retired list despite not retiring.
S29 - Caitlyn Catowize WR
Catowize is the very first Ms. Irrelevant.
S30 - Sal Shaw QB
Shaw is our most recent Mr. Irrelevant. From May 3rd to May 4th he showed a lot of potential. Unless he could rekindle that effort, he’ll just be another player with zero ISFL games played.
