Recently Head Office has approached the GMs and Job Heads about job pay, and inquired about how the different groups feel about league salaries across all departments. In an effort to get a better picture of the leagues current salary structure I have compiled the following data to help paint a broader picture of how we currently pay out the various positions around the league. A big thank you to @Opera_Phantom who kindly walked me through the bank archives to gather said information (some departments paid later then others however, and for those I used the Job Payout thread on the forums.) It's not my intent to argue what is fair and what isn't with this, I'll leave that to all of you, but rather present the data in what I hope is a helpful manner. That said, a couple of notes and disclaimers:
And without further ado.... Here's what the league paid in salaries for S29:
- All figures were taken from the S29 pay cycle.
- I have tried to double check all figures, but my updaters will tell you I don't math good. On the whole it's pretty dang close tho (I think.)
- Some departments pays vary, I tried to note where applicable a department may have half paid or paid the same person twice. The one edit to be made that is not already recorded in the notes, is currently the Twitter Head position is paid for both the Head position and for running the scraper. In S29 this pay was split between Bayley and AC 50/50 ($5.5M each), in a normal year this would be $7M for the Head position, and $4M for the scraper position. Bayley kindly pointed out this fact after my initial release of information.
- Unique Employed Users is close to the right number... plus or minus a couple I would imagine. For reference's sake we seem to averaging around 320ish people on Activity Checks in a given week (not my number, stole it from soneone else.)
- Some departments are paid on a commission basis rather then a salary basis. The purpose of this exercise was to only look at league salaries, so as to try to maintain a level playing field for all parties. For this reason, these numbers do not include any commission based pay. Arguably the most notable of those not included would be Events Team (their pay fluctuates with the size of a given draft class) and the Dotts Team (who's salaried positions have been included, but their commission work has not... Mith estimates they pay out roughly $100M a season in commission for the various card packs they make each season.)
