Hello everyone, its Noble! So the Head Office has been a little quiet on the DSFL front lately, and that's because we've been preparing a major announcement. First and foremost I want to give a huge thanks to the rest of head office for welcoming me and allowing me to help get this project off the ground. Next I want to thank the twelve DSFL GM's who have stepped up their games and committed themselves to be leaders in our community for new members and set the precedent for DSFL GM's to come. Now onto the announcements.
SEND DOWN RULING
Following the S3 NSFL Entry Draft, NSFL teams will have to choose a minimum of 1 active and 3 total players to be sent down to the DSFL. These players will NOT go through any waiver process, meaning they cannot be claimed by another NSFL team for being sent down (this will applicable only prior to the S3 DSFL Inaugural Draft. The players sent down by the NSFL teams will be placed into a draft pool along with the league's inactive free agents and will be selected in serpentine order by the six DSFL teams.
The DSFL will be following a strict 250 TPE cap. If a player is over the 250 TPE mark and is sent down (only allowed this season) they must remove all TPE over the 250 TPE mark. This TPE will still be on the character, but must be banked for the duration of their time in the DSFL. There will be no cost for this removal.
SIMMING
Sim will be conducted with double sims every Tuesday and Thursday, meaning that every day of the work week will have games to watch! The season will consist of 14 games, and will run the same length as the NSFL.
DRAFT INFORMATION
The above is the layout of how the draft system will now work for players joining the league in both the NSFL and DSFL. We have chosen to keep any player who creates before the S3 NSFL Draft as part of that draft class rather than the DSFL in order to keep a strong draft class for the NSFL. This won't damage the DSFL draft class and any player who joins the league between the S3 NSFL Draft and S3 DSFL Draft will be eligible for the Inaugural DSFL Draft. They will be a part of the S4 NSFL Draft Class. We've made the trade deadline the cutoff for eligibility between NSFL and DSFL draft. Players who create after the trade deadline will be kept not too far ahead of the pack by only being eligible to complete activity checks and training camp.
As a side note, Inaugural Draft Picks cannot be traded by DSFL GM's.
BOT SYSTEM
Due to the fact the DSFL will be running on low rosters for the first season, @Ballerstorm took the initiative to go through and make a full league of bots based upon DSFL GM desires, with every roster being filled with bots who follow the templates and have 30 TPE added to them. This gives GM's the ability to feel they have more room to run certain defenses and offenses, with varying builds even between bots.
WAIVER SYSTEM
Following the S3 NSFL Draft, any player who creates will be placed on waivers. They can be claimed the same way as an NSFL team would currently do it, but they are part of the DSFL wire. Newly created players will enter NSFL Waiver Wire under no circumstances.
TROPHY NAMES
Relicum Trophy (Championship)
Boreas Trophy (North Divison)
Auster Trophy (South Division)
RULEBOOK
The full rulebook will be posted in the DSFL rulebook section sometime tomorrow once I finish up a couple of minor details that need to be edited. A link will be provided here once this is completed.
TEAM SECTIONS
Obviously the DSFL will have team sections created as well. These are currently being finalized. Banners and league emoticons are finished, but bot pages have not been created. Once this is finalized, the team sections will be able to be found at the bottom of the page, just below the NSFL Team Sections.
CONTRACTS
All contracts will be completely absorbed by DSFL teams.
Thank you for everyone's support in this project!
