Huānyíng to Hong Kong for the Season 31 Ultimus Bowl!
As a former British colony and current Special Administrative Region of China, the beautiful city of Hong Kong is no stranger to playing host for grand cultural exchanges. With a number of European and North American locations being featured in the ISFL's biggest games in the course of the last few seasons, I thought it was time to open the doors to the east. The Asia-Pacific region is home to a bevy of ISFL talent, garnering the region representation in the World Football Championship, and I hope the voters this season will agree that it's time to bring the championship game of the ISFL to Hong Kong.
Hong Kong is outfitted with world-class entertainment, cultural, and sporting facilities that have allowed the region to host a number of large and important international sport events, including the Hong Kong Sevens and the Lunar New Year Cup. Completed in 2023, the Kai Tak Sports Park is a world class facility on Kowloon Bay and will be the perfect stadium to host the showdown between the top teams in this coming ISFL season.
For the Ultimus Bowl logo, I took a lot of inspiration from the bold and ever-present neon lights that shine and glow throughout the city every night. Taking particular inspiration from the Tung Cheung Pawn Shop, home one of the most recognizable and historic neon signs in Hong Kong. I hope you like the logo design and concept for this host city bid. Get ready to light it up in Hong Kong for season 31!
