GM Tesla: Hello and good time appropriate greeting dear readers! Today I have donned my GM hat to bring you the highlights from my first season managing the Yeti. You see there is a media competition going on that is all about team contributions and we thought what better way to show what everyone has contributed than by going over their best games from the Yeti's winning season. Accompanying us in this endeavor is my friend Sim Rep who represents the Sim. Normally we go by game, but this time we will be going alphabetically through all the players of the Yeti that I love. Which means we start with Nunccoepi's future Hall of Fame defensive end!
Sim Rep: Week ten defensive end Immanuel Blackstone had 3 tackles and 1 sack.
GM Tesla: During a two minute drill in the first half on second and ten Blackstone broke into the backfield for a 7 yard sack as part of a three and out. Closing minute of the third quarter and Blackstone made a tackle near the line of scrimmage to slow the offense down. Then they did it again with another tackle at the line of scrimmage on first and ten just before the final two minute warning. Next is Bagel's beautiful safety!
Sim Rep: Week twelve strong safety SparkySparky Boom-man had 3 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery.
GM Tesla: Boom-man's big highlight of the day came in the closing seconds of the game as they got into the backfield for an 11 yard sack, and made that sack count by forcing a fumble they recovered with a 0 yard return. That was all that was needed though as it gave the offense the ball back to set up victory formation. Now the next is the first of our offensive line, and unfortunately I can no longer do offensive line highlights due to my potato computer. That said Sim Rep will still list their best game stats for us and so please do tell us all about Pppaul317's great guard!
Sim Rep: Week nine offensive guard Quentin Button had 6 pancakes, 0 penalties, and 0 sacks allowed.
GM Tesla: Button's performance helped the team to a 500 yard offensive performance. Definitely well worth the price of admission. Next up is the perfectly consistent PigSnout's MVP quarterback!
Sim Rep: Week thirteen quarterback Mattathias Caliban went 21 of 35 for 304 yards passing, an average pass of 8.7 yards, 3 touchdowns, a passer rating of 116.8, and 1 rushing attempt for -2 yards.
GM Tesla: Midway through the first quarter Caliban had their first long pass of the day as they completed a 51 yard touchdown pass on second and sixteen. Later in the first quarter Caliban converted a third and two with a 24 yard pass. Late in the third quarter Caliban had a perfect drive that started with a 52 yard pass on second and seven, and ended with a 10 yard touchdown pass on first and ten. Partway through the fourth quarter Caliban had another perfect drive that started with a 75 yard pass on first and ten, and finished with a 4 yard touchdown pass on third and goal. Please tell us about CommishDrip's dynamic running back next!
Sim Rep: Week nine running back Drip Dad had 8 rushing attempts for 85 yards, an average run of 10.6 yards, a long of 54 yards, 8 receptions for 119 yards, an average reception of 14.9 yards, a long of 49 yards, and 1 touchdown.
GM Tesla: Halfway through the first quarter Dad found their first opening of the day and were able to make it a 54 yard carry to reach the red zone on first and ten. Early in the third quarter Dad did it again with a 44 yard run on first and ten to reach field goal range. Closing minute of the third quarter and Dad did one better with a 49 yard touchdown run on third and seventeen for their sole score of the day. After that is our primary receiver courtesy of 37thchamber!
Sim Rep: Week fifteen wide receiver Raphael Delacour had 11 receptions for 132 yards, an average reception of 12 yards, a long of 34 yards, and 2 touchdowns.
GM Tesla: The first play from scrimmage was a highlight for Delacour as they caught a 26 yard pass across midfield. Midway through the third quarter on first and ten Delacour raced for a 34 yard reception, and then quickly followed it up with an 8 yard touchdown reception on second and goal. During the last two minute drill Delacour came up big with a successful 7 yard touchdown reception on first and goal. A delightful selection and next is Rusfan's fantastic free safety.
Sim Rep: Week twelve free safety Joel Drake had 4 tackles, 2 passes defended, and 1 interception.
GM Tesla: Second and ten early in the third quarter and Drake had their first highlight of the day as they broke up a pass as part of a three and out. The next drive Drake did one better by getting enough of a hand on the ball to haul it in, and ran it back 3 yards on a second and fifteen to take over in field goal range. SDCore's strangely named player is next please!
Sim Rep: Week fourteen cornerback NationalSimulation FootballLeague had 2 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 1 pass defended, and 1 interception.
GM Tesla: Late in the second quarter on second and eight FootballLeague forced the fumble just on their side of the field, and recovered it with a 1 yard return to give the offense a chance. Opening drive of the second half ended with a 7 yard sack by FootballLeague on third and three to force a punt. Then FootballLeague ended the game with a picked off pass on fourth and six in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter and with a 20 yard return just for the icing on the cake. After that is our amazing free agent acquisition BOOM™'s brilliant tight end.
Sim Rep: Week three tight end Buffalo Hunter had 4 receptions for 67 yards, an average reception of 16.8 yards, a long of 31 yards, and 1 touchdown.
GM Tesla: Back half of the first quarter and Hunter found the end zone for the first time with a 1 yard touchdown reception on first and goal. Early in the second quarter Hunter had a big time play with distance as they hauled in a 28 yard reception on second and ten. Opening drive of the fourth quarter and Hunter did even better with a 31 yard reception on second and ten to reach midfield. Coming up next is Connor's cool kid!
Sim Rep: Week six defensive end Xmus Flaxon Jaxon-Waxon had 5 tackles and 1 sack.
GM Tesla: Opening drive for the defense and after one short first and ten Jaxon-Waxon made the big time stop with a 7 yard sack that helped lead to a pseudo three and out. Partway through the fourth quarter Jaxon-Waxon came through in clutch with a stop short of the end zone on a two point conversion. After that is another outstanding offensive lineman courtesy of Dahayn!
Sim Rep: Week one offensive tackle Leeroy Jenkins had 4 pancakes, 0 penalties, and 0 sacks allowed.
GM Tesla: That performance helped the offense to have 400 yards that day and is immensely appreciated. The best wide receiver in the league made by one of the best rookie mentors the league has ever had in Yonggarius next!
Sim Rep: Week eight wide receiver William Lim had 8 receptions for 113 yards, an average reception of 14.1 yards, a long of 56 yards, and 3 touchdowns.
GM Tesla: Lim only got started in the second half, but they did it right with a 1 yard touchdown reception on first and goal in the closing seconds of the third quarter. Partway through the fourth Lim did it again with a 12 yard touchdown reception on second and four. Their next play was the best though as they caught a 56 yard pass for a touchdown on third and ten that completed a hat trick. Alcott's underrated player is next on our list please!
Sim Rep: Week three wide receiver Cole Maxwell had 7 receptions for 119 yards, an average reception of 17 yards, a long of 63 yards, and 2 touchdowns.
GM Tesla: Halfway through the second quarter Maxwell had one truly amazing play for their highlight reel as they converted a third and ten with a 63 yard touchdown reception. Late in the third quarter they came through again with a 12 yard reception on a third and five. Then late in the fourth quarter they found the end zone again with a 7 yard touchdown reception on second and goal to finish out their day. Onto the exceptional Ephenssta's delightful defensive back!
Sim Rep: Week fourteen cornerback Redbeard McFredbeard had 2 tackles, 3 passes defended, and 1 interception.
GM Tesla: Early in the fourth quarter on first and ten McFredbeard mangled the drive before it could get going as they picked off the pass, and they ran it back 16 yards to give an instant red zone opportunity on top of it all. Just a few minutes later on second and twenty McFredbeard broke up a pass to help force a punt as well. We are onto my partner Schwarz's superb sacking star!
Sim Rep: Week nine linebacker Melvin Murder-Moose had 11 tackles and 2 sacks.
GM Tesla: Midway through the first quarter Murder-Moose proved they were reliable in coverage with a tackle short of the line to gain on second and ten, and then made it count with another tackle short of the line to gain on third and five to finish out a three and out. Late in the second quarter on second and two Murder-Moose made it a three and out with the power of a 7 yard sack. Less than six minutes left to play and Murder-Moose made it into the backfield again for a 7 yard sack to set the offense back. Quaint Quail's kicker is next Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Week twelve kicker Lux Opal went 5 of 5 on extra point attempts, 1 of 1 on 50+ yard field goal attempts, punted 8 times for 382 yards, an average punt of 47.8 yards, a long of 59 yards, and with 5 inside the twenty.
GM Tesla: Opening play of the second quarter was a punt by Opal of 50 yards on fourth and one that pinned the opponent at their own eight yard line. Early in the third quarter on fourth and eight Opal booted it 39 yards to pin the opponent at their own nine yard line. Late in the third quarter they did it again on fourth and twenty-five with a 42 yard punt to pin the offense on their own six yard line. Then on fourth and three with seconds left in the third Opal connected on a 51 yard field goal to show that perfect punts were not the only tool in their belt. Even though early in the fourth they had to pull that tool back out to punt 59 yards on fourth and three to pin the opponent at their own nine yard line. Closing minutes of the game and they did it one more time with a 59 yard punt that left the offense sitting at their own three yard line. This next one is near and dear to me as our incredible Isa just retired, but before they move on we have highlights from their first penguin player!
Sim Rep: Week four linebacker Adélie de Pengu had 10 tackles, 1 sack, and 2 passes defended.
GM Tesla: Opening drive of the day on first and ten Pengu slid into the backfield for a 6 yard sack that helped lead to a punt. Late in the first quarter on third and five Pengu made the tackle short of the line to gain to hold the offense to a field goal attempt. Partway through the third on first and ten Pengu broke up a pass, and then on third and ten Pengu made the tackle well short of the line to gain to start and finish a three and out. Former general manager Syl's latest creation is up next!
Sim Rep: Week four offensive tackle Emperor de Pengu had 9 pancakes, 0 penalties, and 0 sacks allowed.
GM Tesla: Given they came in the same week I have to wonder if penguins are powered by the same phases of the moon leading to a synchronicity. That said it did help lead to a 300 yard offensive performance and a perfect percentage on fourth down attempts. Next is the magnificent Modern_Duke's newest research result!
Sim Rep: Week six center Manhattan Project had 9 pancakes, 0 penalties, and 0 sacks allowed.
GM Tesla: An amazing stat line for any offensive line, but I would say it is especially impressive for the most important position the center. It also helped the team to an almost 400 yard offensive performance in a key win to get us into the position we are in now. Next is my very own player who I kind of wish we could skip.
Sim Rep: Week seven defensive tackle Magnus Rikiya had 4 tackles, 1 sack, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries.
GM Tesla: Midway through the first quarter on second and six Magnus made their way into the backfield for an 11 yard sack, and forced a fumble they were able to return 1 yard as well. First and ten midway through the second quarter Rikiya made the tackle at the line of scrimmage with another forced fumble. Just a few minutes later on second and twenty Rikiya did it again with a tackle at the line of scrimmage with a forced fumble they were able to return 1 yard being stopped just short of another defensive touchdown. Lovely Lancedjack's linebacker is next please!
Sim Rep: Week four linebacker Rusty Rucker had 8 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 pass defended.
GM Tesla: Closing seconds of the first quarter on third and five Rucker broke up the pass to complete a quick three and out. The first drive of the second quarter Rucker did it again with a tackle short of the line to gain on third and ten for another three and out. Just after the two minute warning Rucker made it into the backfield for a 5 yard sack to knock the opponent back to their side of the field. Finally Rucker won the game with an 11 yard sack on third and ten in the closing seconds of the game, and just to be absolutely sure they forced a fumble they were able to return 1 yard to take over just outside the red zone. The incredibly nice Katarn's cool corner is our next to look at!
Sim Rep: Week four cornerback Albert Ruschmann had 7 tackles, 4 passes defended, and 1 interception.
GM Tesla: Partway through the third quarter on second and ten Ruschmann made their first big play a broken up pass as part of a three and out. Just a few minutes later on third and sixteen Ruschmann ruined another drive with a tackle short of the line to gain to force another punt. Seconds left in the third on second and two Ruschmann reacted with haste to pick off the pass near midfield, and run it back 14 yards to give possession just outside of field goal range. Just before the final two minute warning Ruschmann stepped up again with another broken up pass as part of a three and out on second and fifteen. One of our favorite uncles is next with EricNCSU;s reliable run game option upcoming!
Sim Rep: Week eleven running back Sam Squanch had 3 rushing attempts for 4 yards, an average run of 1.3 yards, a long of 3 yards, 9 receptions for 50 yards, an average reception of 5.6 yards, and a long of 10 yards.
GM Tesla: Opening drive of the second half and after a rough start Squanch came through in clutch with a 10 yard reception on a first and ten to reach reliable field goal range, and then a 5 yard reception on following first and ten to reach the red zone. Closing minutes of the game and Squanch came through again with an 8 yard run on third and seven to keep the drive alive! Last but certainly not least we have PersonMann's impolitely named offensive lineman!
Sim Rep: Week thirteen offensive guard Dick Thruster had 5 pancakes, 0 penalties, and 0 sacks allowed.
GM Tesla: That was a big one as it helped us to a 400 yard offensive performance in a clutch win over a conference rival. Including helping our quarterback have what was arguably their best game of the season.
Well there you have it as that covers every player of the Colorado Yeti and their best game of the season to date. Thank you so much for taking the time to join us for this fun trip through the season together and we hope you all have a most magnificent rest of your day! To all the Yeti and the friends of the Yeti we hope you have happiness in abundance!
Sim Rep: Week ten defensive end Immanuel Blackstone had 3 tackles and 1 sack.
